Madam Li's Identity Is Exposed Again!

Chapter 827: Chapter 827: Chi Jianguo is at the end of his rope

Chi Company is now under a dark cloud of trouble.

The atmosphere is as tense as if disaster is about to strike.

In the Main Conference Room, almost all the shareholders have arrived, sitting in their respective positions, keeping silent.

Chi Jianguo’s face turned livid with anger, sweeping over them, ”Is there not a single one of you who opposes the acquisition?”

”Really, not even one?”

The answer he got was the quiet Conference Room, all the shareholders were hanging their heads low, as if the notebooks on the Table were incredibly captivating, intently absorbed in them. Even those without a meeting Notebook on the Table were staring at their cups, as though the floating tea leaves inside were some sort of amazing miracle, staring fixedly.

The secretary tiptoed in, filled everyone’s place with water, and then slowly left...

Chi Jianguo was so angry he almost spit blood, with a steel-blue Face, he repeated, ”Ryan wants to acquire our company, the shareholders’ meeting is about to start soon, as long as all of you hold an opposing opinion, then Ryan will need to apply for bank approval once more before he can report it. What I mean is, we have struggled together through thick and thin for decades, this time, I hope to face it together with everyone. I hope everyone will cast a vote against, when the time comes, during Ryan’s bank application, I will think of other solutions.”

No sooner had he finished speaking than a shareholder spoke up, ”President Chi, it’s not that we don’t want to advance or retreat together with the company, but Ryan purchasing us is also beneficial for the company itself. You know Ryan’s background; Ryan belongs to the Habsburg family, which controls most of the Petroleum resources in Country T, they are incredibly wealthy. If the company is acquired by Ryan, we can consider it as aligning with international standards, the future looks bright, for the sake of the company’s wellbeing, we really have no reason to refuse.”

As soon as one person spoke, others followed, ”Yes, President Chi, we are doing this for the company’s sake, that’s why we’re not opposing the acquisition.”

”The company needs integration, having Ryan as a support means it will only develop better in the future. It’s a good thing for our employees, for us all.”

This type of acquisition was clear to everyone; it was only bad for Chi Jianguo.

Because once the company is acquired, it will become a subsidiary of Ryan, then it won’t be Chi Jianguo who calls the shots anymore. Naturally, the higher-ups will send people to manage, the very worst would be Chi Jianguo alone, as he would be squeezed out of the Chairman position.

But what does it have to do with them? They are not the ones being squeezed out.

Moreover, in this past year, Chi Jianguo had been oppressively authoritarian over them, making decisions on Projects or anything else without consulting them, shareholders. He kept everything to himself, and now he needed them, coming to them and playing the emotional card, talking about weathering storms together for decades, asking them to reject a promising future. Why should they? They are not fools, even a dog needs a Bone to bark.

Chi Jianguo was hardly less than ruthless towards them, now that he was in trouble, who would want to help him?

They deserve it!

The shareholders each expressed their stance, sticking to the first person’s words, using ”for the company’s good” as an excuse.

But what it really was about, everyone knew, it was all for money!

Chi Jianguo didn’t expect the shareholders, who had supported him up until now, to all turn their backs on him, his Face’s color changed from anger!
