Chapter 737: Chapter 737: Li Beijue Gets Angry

“Open the door!” Two simple words, exuding overwhelming force and an air of undeniable authority!

“Yes, yes, Master Jue.”

The driver fumbled to unlock the car door in a panic.

The backdoor was immediately pulled open, and the man with arrogant, long strides entered the car, bending with the piercing cold wind. He gave the driver a glance with his bottomless falcon-like eyes and commanded, “Get out.”

“Yes.” Although the driver was worried about Baby Chi, he still got out and, as he did, he helped close the car door.

Chi Jingchen was not afraid, and fueled by a little anger that Li Beijue had kept Chi Enen’s return from him, his courage grew bolder.

Before Li Beijue could speak, he took the initiative and said, “It was you who kept the news of Chi Enen’s return from me, first. I thought you were keeping a vixen outside. So you were wrong first!”

The cold-faced man expressionlessly raised his hand and pressed the car’s lock button. With a click, the doors and windows were locked once again.

Chi Jingchen was not low in EQ, and his observational skills were top-notch.

Sensing the tension, his heart skipped a beat, a wave of unease rose within him, and he defensively shifted his buttocks to the side.

“You also had Uncle Huo lie to me, saying you were busy with work…”

Li Beijue’s black eyes blazed. He didn’t bother with further talk and directly lifted the man up, placing him sideways across his lap. He lifted his clothes, his palm swung down, and a series of slaps rained down!

Chi Jingchen was prepared to argue fiercely, but it was to no avail. Li Beijue didn’t bother fighting; he went straight for a beating.

His buttocks burned with pain.

What hurt most was his feeling that his macho dignity had been severely trampled on.

Just like the grown man’s, the little boy’s eyes first widened in disbelief, then flashed with aggrievement before turning stubborn.

“Smack smack smack!” Li Beijue suppressed his rage and delivered several more spanks forcefully onto his buttocks before he lowered his voice, which heralded an impending storm, “Admit you’re wrong?”

He hadn’t told Bae Chi immediately about Chi Enen’s return because he was unsure if that woman had amnesia.

Baby Chi could misunderstand, but whatever the reason, it was not an excuse for him to run off on his own!

“I’m not wrong! It was you who lied first! You’re the one who’s wrong!” Chi Jingchen usually had a dark cunning and high EQ, but his temper was just as foul and stubborn as a certain person’s.

If approached softly, he might have relented, but faced with force, he would only push back harder!

“Not wrong, is that so?” Li Beijue’s anger reached its peak, and several more unrelenting smacks ensued as he interrogated again, “Admit your mistake, now?”

Chi Jingchen’s buttocks felt like they were about to bloom in pain. At just 6 years old, he bit down hard on his teeth, stubbornly keeping silent, “I’m not wrong, I’m just not wrong.”

“Very good!” Li Beijue’s handsome face darkened. He raised his hand, almost delivering another slap to his behind.

Despite his defiance, Chi Jingchen was only 6, and his face paled, a nervous reflex causing his beautiful face to involuntarily show he was afraid of pain. Although it was just for a moment, Li Beijue saw it.

His raised hand stopped mid-air, then lowered, his thin lips forming a straight line as he coldly said, “Let’s go back first, we’ll talk after we get back.”

Chi Jingchen had braced for the blow, but the anticipated pain never came. His little face stayed tensely defiant, still looking stubborn even at this point.

Li Beijue’s temple throbbed twice, his mood terribly irritable.

SHI-T!

Had it been anyone else but Chi Jingchen today, he would’ve ensured they remembered this lesson vividly. But it just had to be Chi Jingchen, and so young at that!

He composed himself, opened the car door, took a deep breath, and managed to suppress his explosive anger. He then spoke sternly to the uneasy driver, “Drive!”
