What Do You Mean There Are Other Transmigrators In My Harem Fantasy?

I wasn’t sure what happened to those boys but they basically ran off after we returned to the surface.

At least they properly thanked us before running off I suppose... Maybe they were just in urgent need of using the toilet or something?

We went back to the counter and returned the bracelets and I made sure that everyone’s at least an E ranked Dungeoneer on their Guild card before leaving the Dungeon Nexus.

After this, we could go ahead and challenge the D ranked Dungeon before proceeding to the C ranked Dungeons if we wanted to, though I’m not sure how big exactly are the D ranked Dungeons here since they might need a few days for us to clear if they’re really big.

It was quite late by now so we returned to the dorms and I found quite a number of people gathered near the entrance once again.

But this time, this crowd was definitely not here to get new rooms because I spotted Tiara and the Amrap sisters amongst them who should have already obtained their rooms prior to this so them being here made no sense.

That’s when Kaitlyn appeared carrying a few big boxes with a hole at the top, flying out to place the box on the table.

”Alright!! All rooms are now open for lottery!! Including the rooms assigned to the Special Class students! Whoever isn’t satisfied with their rooms, please go ahead and draw from the lottery boxes! Remember that you can only draw from the boxes that you are eligible for!”

Oh, so we’re having a room lottery now, no wonder there’s so many people here.

I turned to my girls, intending to ask if they were going to join but all of them surged forward into the crowd before I could even say anything, leaving only Delmare and Odeta behind since the two of them won’t be able to draw my room anyway given that they were also Special Class students.

I don’t think they mind it that much since they already secured the two rooms closest to mine and could just come over whenever they wanted to.

Odeta chuckled, ”Ahaha! This might take a while since there’s so many of them!”

”Are there really that many people who are unsatisfied with their current rooms?” Delmare wondered aloud.

I shrugged before turning to them, ”So... Wanna just hang out in my room for now? Not like we have anything else to do anyway.”

Odeta grinned, ”Sounds great! Let’s go, Sister Aster!”

I went around to the back of the building and spread my wings before first carrying Delmare up to my room then coming back down to carry Odeta next.

I could have carried both of them up at the same time but that would mean I had to sling them over my shoulders like bags of potatoes and I’d rather carry my lovers in my arms instead so a little bit of inconvenience was worth it.

The three of us settled in my modest dorm room where I sat on the bed and Delmare curled herself up in my lap while Odeta sat behind me to cuddle against my back.

This feels nice~

”Do you girls have any plans for what classes you’ll be taking?” I asked, patting Delmare’s head idly.

Delmare sighed contentedly as she cuddled against my chest, ”Mmm... I think I will just follow along with the normal magic classes for the first year, Aster... Then pick out which ones I want to focus on afterwards once I know what they’re like. I am interested in Somatomancy, though.”

I’m not surprised since she practiced so hard in it just so that she could make the transformation of her tail into legs permanent without needing to constantly chant the spell all the time.

Odeta chuckled, ”Wahahaha! I’m intending to attend all the physical classes! Maybe they have a good instructor here that can keep up with me and let me learn something!”

No surprises there too. I would be more surprised if Odeta didn’t want to attend the martial classes instead.

Delmare looked up at me, ”What about you, Aster? You’re now the apprentice of the Grand Chancellor, right?”

”Wahahaha! That’s right! You can learn anything under her, right Sister Aster?”

”Well... She did say that she has a busy schedule so I can’t keep bothering her all the time. So I’ll also just follow the normal curriculum and only seek her out when her schedule is free. I think it’s fine to just follow along for the first year at least.”

Odeta then tilted my head up to give me a deep kiss, my Amrap lover shoving her tongue into my mouth to swirl around lewdly before pulling back with a grin.

While I was surprised by the kiss, I did welcome it but was just curious why she would just do that without warning.

She licked her lips before showing me a smirk, ”Sister Aster. You should just take what you want. There’s no need to hold back, you know?”

I tilt my head at her, ”What do you mean?”

”This is a place where the strong rule over the weak. Everyone here is expected to challenge themselves and rise to greater heights. Anyone unable to do so is simply left behind. There is no need to feel like you owe anyone anything. If they fail, they are simply too weak and never should have been here from the beginning.”

That sounds harsh but... I guess this was already something I knew as well.

They quite literally stated that anyone who could not produce results would be dropped out of the school and even if you have advanced all the way to a fifth year student, you could still be dropped if your results became unsatisfactory.

And if you want to join the school again, you would have to restart as a first year student once again.

That actually raised a question for me...

”Do we have anyone in our year that were dropouts from this school?”

Delmare answered almost immediately, ”Mmm... I heard that every year, there will definitely be a couple of them so I would assume it’s no different for us as well, Aster.”

”Doesn’t that mean that they would have an advantage over us since they have already studied the syllabus? They would already know what was being taught, wouldn’t they? How would we compete with that?”

Odeta let out a bark of laughter, ”Wahahaha! You worry too much, Sister Aster! Even if they have the knowledge, they need to be able to use it! And they will also be judged on the fact that they are repeat students! Not only that, there’s definitely reasons why these people have dropped out after all! These people were basically at the bottom of the rankings for their year so even at best, they should be only average amongst our peers instead of being the very best in terms of talent and skill!”

Hmm... I guess there’s some truth in that...

Basically even if they already knew what was being taught, they still had to produce results that were deemed satisfactory for them to advance. If the professors do not think their improvements were good enough, they would just be dropped as well.

They might be able to do well in the theory tests but completely suck at the practical aspects which wouldn’t do them any favours anyway.

Odeta’s lips then curled up into a smirk, ”That’s why you shouldn’t hold back, Sister Aster. Everyone here is competition. The only thing that anyone here understands is power. Nothing else matters as long as you have power.”

I was reminded of my interaction with the three boys the other day at the cafe where they tried to harass me just because I was holding my egg.

Maybe it wasn’t as extreme as some cases where you might literally die for being weak so the idea of the strong being right was expected...

But here... It is more like a respect thing where the weak have no reason to be respected while the strong are just seen to be better than the weak and could do what they want because it is their privilege as the strong to do so.

Delmare looked up at me, ”There’s also some things that the strongest are allowed within the school, Aster.”

I tilted my head at her, ”What is it?”

”Well... You know how everyone can have... Umm... Can have sex freely as long as they are both consenting?”

I nodded my head slowly.

”Well... The people standing at the very top may also be allowed to... Sleep with people that are below them no matter what...”

I paused, feeling my heart stop for just a moment as I processed her words.

Images flashed in my mind of random guys overtaking my position and forcing themselves on my girls and making them do whatever they wanted...

This...

I WILL NOT ALLOW IT!!!!

I’M GOING TO STAND AT THE TOP OF THIS SCHOOL NO MATTER WHAT!!!!
