My Martial Arts Level Never Drops

Chapter 31: Chapter 29: Martial Artist

He successfully reached the outside of the courtyard. A faint light shone through.

Qin Fang tilted his head to listen but heard nothing.

Then he began to observe his surroundings. Soon, his eyes narrowed slightly... This courtyard was much larger than his own. The walls were also taller, over three meters high, and topped with eaves. It was impossible to climb them directly.

But fortunately, the courtyard walls in this alley were connected. Wang Long’s walls were high, but a few of the neighboring houses had lower ones.

There was even some junk piled up outside one of them.

Qin Fang was a man of decisive action. After a quick look to plan his route, he began to move.

He first went to a relatively low wall, used the junk outside to climb up, and then carefully made his way along the top of the walls toward Wang Long’s courtyard.

The process wasn’t easy... After all, the tops of the walls were narrow, and it had rained two days ago, leaving them somewhat slick and slippery.

Qin Fang moved with extreme caution, not daring to make too much noise for fear of alerting Wang Long. It took him a good ten minutes before he finally made it onto the wall of Wang Long’s home.

The walls of Wang Long’s home were much sturdier. He let out a long, quiet breath.

Then he frowned slightly...

During the climb, it had been impossible to avoid using his left hand, which naturally meant putting pressure on his left index finger. A piercing pain was now shooting through it.

But this pain only strengthened Qin Fang’s resolve to kill Wang Long.

’If this man doesn’t die, I could be the one who dies tomorrow.’

His gaze turned even colder. He leaned halfway into the courtyard and observed carefully.

The courtyard was large, a full ten meters square, with a tile-roofed house at the back... It was also much larger than the house his master had given him.

At this moment, one of the rooms was lit, but the window was shut tight, making it impossible to see what was happening inside.

Qin Fang observed for a moment, then finally let out a breath and forcefully leaned most of his body into the courtyard.

Then, he flipped over, gripped the eaves with both hands, and slowly lowered himself down.

Throughout the process, the piercing pain in his left hand was relentless.

It made his face turn pale, but he persisted.

If he simply jumped, the noise would undoubtedly be loud enough to alert Wang Long.

Wang Long was burly and powerfully built. Having been up close with him today, Qin Fang had easily felt the immense power in the man’s grip when he’d seized his finger.

’The man might not be a Mingjin Martial Artist... but his Physique is definitely far stronger than mine, half-invalid that I am.’

If he alerted him and they clashed head-on, forget about assassination... he would most likely be the one to die.

Holding on until his legs were almost touching the ground, Qin Fang finally let go.

THUD...

An extremely faint sound echoed as Qin Fang landed and fell directly onto his bottom.

Sweat beaded on his forehead, a cold sweat trickling down, and his left hand trembled uncontrollably.

But he remained calm. He reached into his robes for his Darts, his eyes fixed on the house.

After a long moment with no sound from within, he secretly sighed in relief. Knowing he hadn’t been heard, he slowly got to his feet and cautiously approached the lit window.

Qin Fang moved very carefully, paying close attention to the ground... He didn’t want to accidentally step on a twig, make a noise, and have his efforts all be for naught.

Fortunately, the courtyard was swept clean, and he soon neared the window lattice.

Then, he heard a series of rapid, panting breaths from inside.

Qin Fang froze for a second, then his eyes narrowed slightly...

’They left the light on for *that*?’

’That’s right. Bald Li did say this was where he kept his mistress.’

With that thought, he looked up at the window, which was covered with white paper. He pinpointed the source of the sound, carefully moved to the very edge of the frame, wet his fingertip with a little saliva, and poked a small hole in the paper.

He then peeked through the small hole...

His view was of a room containing a square, eight-person table, on which an oil lamp was currently lit.

Past the table was a bed, and at this moment...

Qin Fang’s eyes narrowed.

’So it’s true?’

’Hmph, perfect...’

’The moments of afterglow are when one is most relaxed.’

Qin Fang’s gaze remained calm as he waited patiently.

He carefully examined the man’s face. Although he could only see the side of his head, Wang Long’s brutish, fleshy features were too distinct. He recognized him at once... it was Wang Long.

As for the woman, she was mostly blocked by Wang Long, so he couldn’t get a clear look.

But from her figure, she probably wasn’t unattractive.

Qin Fang didn’t strike immediately. Instead, he waited with cold eyes.

He didn’t have to wait long.

Just then, a cold glint flashed in Qin Fang’s eyes. Without a second thought, he launched a dart!

The bed was not far from the window.

And Qin Fang was extremely practiced in the wrist-flick technique for throwing Darts.

SWOOSH!

The faint sound of it cutting through the air was almost inaudible.

And in the next moment...

The dart became a white blur, striking true and hitting Wang Long in the back of the head!

SQUELCH!

Wang Long, who had been savoring the afterglow, suddenly stiffened, his eyes flying wide open.

But immediately after, something happened that shocked Qin Fang.

The man actually whipped his head around.

His eyes were bloodshot as he roared, ”Who’s there?!”

The next instant, Wang Long’s body flipped over and lunged straight for the window!

Qin Fang’s heart leaped in shock. ’He’s not dead?’

A quick glance and he immediately understood!

’The force from a wrist-flick isn’t as powerful as a full throw.’

That dart hadn’t penetrated his skull; it was caught in his neck muscles!

And now, he still had the strength to counterattack?!

’What kind of monstrous Physique is this?!’

Qin Fang was inwardly terrified but remained calm. Seeing Wang Long lunge, he rapidly retreated. With a CRASH, Wang Long’s naked form burst through the window lattice and leaped out.

The man was completely naked, a dart still stuck in the back of his head, his back stained red with blood.

Yet he hadn’t lost his ability to move. Instead, his eyes were bloodshot, like a cornered, grievously wounded beast!

Without a moment’s hesitation, the instant his target broke through the window, Qin Fang flicked another dart!

”AHH!!”

A pained scream rang out. Wang Long’s charging body staggered violently, and he clapped a hand over his right eye.

Looking closer, this dart had lodged right in his eye!

Blood immediately began to stream down.

Qin Fang calmly continued to back away. Wang Long clutched his right eye, his remaining left eye filled with horror and panic. As his gaze swept the area, it landed on Qin Fang.

The moment he saw Qin Fang, an expression of disbelief crossed his face.

A mixture of shock and rage!

”It’s you?!”
