The Mecha Driver Is a Cultivator

Chapter 252: Chapter 138: Demon King Arena

As Fang Shuo’s body fell to the ground, a teleportation light arose, and his figure vanished from the arena.

In this instant, the students watching were filled with bewilderment.

“Is it over already?!”

“What just happened?”

“Wait, the two probably fought on a spiritual level, which is why this scene occurred.”

“Fang Shuo and Ye Ping’an, I’ve heard they have already broken into the Innate Realm, yet facing Qin Jin, they couldn’t even get close?”

“Damn, if only the academy’s arena could display the spiritual level battles as well.”

Voices of discussion arose.

Qin Jin stood alone on Arena No. 1, his gaze directed toward the spot where Fang Shuo disappeared.

“The body’s secret collection, truly fascinating.”

“Even though most people enter the Innate Realm, secret collections are rather common, but I stand in the Martial Abyss, dealing only with top-talented geniuses. The secrets of these people are likely quite extraordinary.”

“Fang Shuo’s secret collection ability, within the same realm facing opponents with similar strength, could secure him an advantage.”

“Unfortunately, he encountered me.”

His gaze shifted.

Qin Jin’s attention moved toward the teleportation aura of Arena No. 1.

Outside the aura, a few figures hesitated, and as Qin Jin’s gaze swept past them, after a brief pause, they turned and headed to other arenas.

Two battles, defeated two Innates!

Qin Jin usually doesn’t spar with others, unlike Fang Shuo and Ye Ping’an. The S-Class students present are aware of their strength; seeing in person these overwhelming victories stirred their hearts.

Although losses result in academy healing, being crushed undoubtedly affects one’s state. With ten arenas to choose from, the students on the platform made plans to leave challenging Arena No. 1 for last, if no other opportunities arise, then to fight tenaciously.

The arena is open.

Yet no one steps onto it immediately.

Qin Jin remains calm, relaxed and composed, with his eyes slightly closed. Part of his primordial power monitors the situation on the other arenas through the spiritual level, while another part concentrates on himself, slowly adjusting his breathing technique, not cultivating, but fine-tuning it to better suit himself.

Throughout his academy days, this adjustment has been ongoing; for a Martial Arts Family, it’s necessary.

On the nearby arena, battles continue.

The initial champion of the arena has been defeated, and the champion’s position replaced.

On Arena No. 2 stands a handsome man.

The second-ranked in the school entrance exams, defeated by Fang Shuo, Yu Xingchen.

At this moment, he has defeated his opponent, his gaze shifting to Arena No. 1 with a complex expression.

He, too, has broken into the Innate Realm and has the confidence to battle Fang Shuo again, but he knows he can’t be as effortless as Qin Jin.

The gap is most evident in comparison.

Just then.

A flash of light, a figure appears on Arena No. 2.

Xie Wuya!

He didn’t plan to fight for the champion’s position, initially wanting to challenge Ye Ping’an, but… Ye Ping’an was taken down directly by Qin Jin and is still in healing, yet to return.

Being naturally combative, he wouldn’t wait indefinitely for the opponent. Now he steps directly onto the arena.

“Xie Wuya.”

Yu Xingchen withdraws his gaze to look at him, with a tone of reminder: “You seem to have yet to break into the Innate Realm.”

“You’ll suffer greatly on my arena.”

“No problem.”

Xie Wuya waves his hand and lets his gaze sweep over the other arenas in fierce battles, with a hint of intoxication quickly transitioning to seriousness.

He turns to look at Yu Xingchen, his eyes extraordinarily solemn: “Mind waiting for me a moment?”

At these words, Yu Xingchen slightly raises his eyebrows: “Whatever you want to do, just go ahead.”

“Alright.”

Xie Wuya responds loudly.

As his voice falls, he closes his eyes slightly. A peculiar aura emanates, interweaving spiritual power and life energy, wandering over his body like forming a special armor. As it interweaves, his momentum rises continuously, around Xie Wuya, a transformative essence arises.

This scene is very familiar to Yu Xingchen.

Though everyone’s specific circumstances vary, leading to differences, Xie Wuya… clearly attempting to breakthrough into the Innate Realm on the arena, starting his first transformation.

“Already sensed the spiritual mechanism yet chose to breakthrough on the arena?”

“What does he aim for?!”

As the thought arose in Yu Xingchen’s mind, while observing, across the arena, Xie Wuya suddenly opened his eyes.

His power interweaving, his aura extremely unstable, his hands clasped as he flexed his muscles, looking at Yu Xingchen: “Ready to fight.”

“You’ve lost it?”

Yu Xingchen’s eyebrows furrowed: “During the transformation, the body is in a very delicate state. If you fight now, should you get injured, affecting the transformation, making the spirituality retreat, it’d take immense effort to rediscover the spiritual mechanism.”

“Thank you for your kindness.”

Xie Wuya grins brightly: “However, this is a path I’m destined to take on my cultivation path.”

“Please do attack.”

He extends a hand as an invitation, not his usual carefree demeanor, instead exceptionally earnest: “Regardless of win or lose, I will enter the Innate from this battle.”

In response to his invitation.

Yu Xingchen shakes his head.

He scrutinizes Xie Wuya, voice calm hidden away: “Whatever you think, whatever you do, I can’t control.”

“But, we bear no animosity, though not too familiar, we are nonetheless classmates.”
