The Mecha Driver Is a Cultivator

Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Thunder Elephant

Visualization Technique!

The beginning of the Martial Arts Family lies in tempering the physique through Breathing techniques.

After undergoing a transformation and stepping into the Newborn Realm, the martial artist’s heart and spirit become clear. Apart from breathing techniques, they must also begin cultivating the Visualization Technique, honing the spirit and refining the Divine Intent!

The spirit and body progress together; cultivating both is the right path for a martial artist.

Facing the inquisitive gaze from Wen Jinglun, Qin Jin nodded, “I would like some guidance from Teacher Wen.”

“Wait for me here.”

Leaving just one sentence, Wen Jinglun turned and walked towards the inside of the villa.

Qin Jin waited calmly and quietly.

Not long after.

Wen Jinglun returned with a stride, holding in his hand a palm-sized, irregular crystalline object within which streaks of thunder surged.

He arrived in front of Qin Jin, placed the crystal down, and his expression became solemn.

“After your initial transformation, you’ve advanced to the Newborn Realm.”

“And the cultivation for a martial artist has only officially begun for you.”

He spoke eloquently: “Firstly, regarding the breathing technique issue.”

“Within the Federation, the evolutionary path of martial arts has existed for a long time. The oldest breathing techniques can trace back to before the great exploration began. In today’s Federation, various breathing techniques emerge endlessly: some are profound and mysterious, others simple and easy for cultivation.”

“The Thunder Beast Breathing Technique provided by the school was created by masters within the Federation and its value far exceeds that of ordinary breathing techniques.”

“However, breathing techniques also have compatibility. Whether a martial artist can find the most suitable breathing technique is a critical part of the evolutionary path.”

Wen Jinglun looked at Qin Jin: “In this aspect, the school can’t provide much help, and you need to make an effort on your own.”

Qin Jin nodded.

“Secondly, it’s the Combat Technique, the martial techniques that involve using life energy in combat.”

Wen Jinglun’s voice turned sharper: “In martial arts, combat is extremely important.”

“Only through the struggles of blood and fire can one forge a true martial heart and go further on the martial path.”

“The school has many Combat Technique legacies. Although classes haven’t started, since you’ve stepped into the Newborn Realm, I’ll help you apply to the principal for early learning.”

Upon hearing this, Qin Jin said, “Thank you, Teacher Wen.”

“You’re welcome.”

Wen Jinglun smiled amiably, though the scars on his face made his expression appear a bit peculiar: “With your talent, if you can perform outstandingly in future exams, my status will also rise, and perhaps I can transfer to a life planet to enjoy life..”

“By then, I should thank you.”

He shifted the topic: “Combat techniques and breathing techniques are old topics.”

“After stepping into the Newborn Realm, you’ll encounter new cultivation elements, which is why you’ve come.”

“Visualization Technique.”

His voice elongated: “A stronger Spiritual Will can control the ever-transforming body; only a more robust body can bear increasingly powerful spirits.”

“The Visualization Technique arises accordingly.”

“After the first transformation, a martial artist’s heart and spirit become clear, beginning spiritual cultivation through Visualization Technique, continuously sharpening the mind until the Spiritual Index reaches 40 points, at which time you can start refining your Divine Intent!”

“Divine Intent is the external manifestation of a martial artist’s Spiritual Will.”

“Once you refine Divine Intent, you can perceive secrets without fear of illusions, and even use it as an attack, forming a mental impact.”

“Successfully refining Divine Intent marks entry into the martial artist’s second level, the Condensation Realm!”

“In its initial formation, Divine Intent might be weak, but it will grow constantly with the martial artist.

“I once witnessed the Divine Intent of a Grandmaster Realm elder, whose manifestation was a fierce white tiger over ten meters tall, vivid and intimidating.”

He said this, then picked up the crystal and handed it to Qin Jin.

“Take it, and observe carefully.”

Qin Jin took it and followed the instructions.

Focusing his vision within the crystal, with thunder flowing inside, reflecting on the crystal walls, transforming into mysterious colors.

After several breaths as Qin Jin observed.

Suddenly, the surroundings darkened abruptly.

Looking around, he saw a faint light curtain covering him, and beyond the curtain were columns of thunder descending with a roar.

It seemed as if he had entered the world inside the crystal.

“This is the Martial Arts Crystal.”

Wen Jinglun’s voice seemed obstructed, like a sound from afar: “This is a wonderful crystalline object, used to imprint martial arts legacies to help martial artists cultivate, and within this crystal is inscribed a Visualization Technique.”

“Thunder Elephant Visualization Technique!”

“Now, your Spiritual Will has entered the world inscribed in the Martial Arts Crystal.”

“The essence of the Visualization Technique is to observe extraordinary creatures beyond oneself, under the pressure of the other’s spirit layer, to continually hone the spirit.”

“The first step in cultivating the Visualization Technique is called Imprinting!”

“Imprinting in the Spiritual World aids in future cultivation.”

“Successfully imprinting equips you with the basic means of spiritual assault.”

“Long ago, in an era before Martial Arts Crystals were discovered, martial artists had to seek extraordinary creatures across vast star seas, risking their lives to imprint.”

“Now, it’s much easier.”

His tone bore a hint of sentiment, then he asked: “Qin Jin, are you ready?”

“Of course.”

Qin Jin responded.

“In that case, proceed with your first imprinting.”

“Imprinting is not easy. If you feel the mental pressure reaching its limit and unsustainable, make sure to stop in time to prevent damage to your Spiritual Will.”

“Now, step out from the protective light curtain.”

Wen Jinglun’s voice faded away.

The observation within the Spiritual Will layer was quite intriguing; Qin Jin could feel the light curtain providing protection, but upon looking down, he discovered that he was incorporeal, without a physical form.

“Divine Intent refining, becoming a martial artist in the Condensation Realm, only then will the Spiritual Will undergo change.”

The thought turned in his mind.

Within this Martial Arts Crystal, Qin Jin’s Spiritual Will took the initiative to leave the light curtain.

At the instant of leaving, information flooded his mind.

That was the legacy information inscribed within the Martial Arts Crystal, including the imprinting method of the Visualization Technique.

Meanwhile…

The true visage of the Crystal World emerged.

Within the world, thunder continuously struck, and in this thunderous realm, a colossal figure ceaselessly charged!

It was an elephant-like creature over ten meters tall.

The creature was enveloped in thunder, with parts of its skin and flesh stripped away, exposing the bones tempered by lightning, resembling worn thunder armor — terrifying to the extreme. As it ran, its trunk swung, generating arcs of electricity that raged all around.

As Qin Jin looked at it.

A indescribable terror spread, rushing toward him.

A sense of crisis surged.

At the same moment.

In this Crystal World, the descending thunder also struck Qin Jin’s mind, attacking his will.

Within his mind, information regarding the Visualization Technique surfaced, and he began to seriously imprint under the pressure!

During the imprinting process.

The pressure continued to escalate.

Qin Jin clearly perceived his Spiritual Will being constantly worn away.

Outside.

Wen Jinglun’s gaze remained on Qin Jin.

In his view, Qin Jin held the Martial Arts Crystal in one hand, eyes slightly closed, with a serious expression.

A focused young man possesses a unique charm.

“Being able to break through to the Newborn Realm so quickly shows exceptional physical talent.”

“I wonder how Qin Jin’s spirit talent is.”

“If he…”

Wen Jinglun pondered, showing a contemplative expression.
