The Mecha Driver Is a Cultivator

Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Qin Jin

Mining Star JK4176.

Xinyang District.

“Qin Jin, when will you become number one in the whole school?”

In an old warehouse about a hundred meters in size, Qin Jin, standing on a high ladder and screwing bolts with a mechanical arm, didn’t turn back as he directly replied, “Of course, after the holiday ends.”

“Damn, even with talent like yours, you can’t challenge the throne of number one in the whole school yet!”

“That’s because the school-wide exam is only held after the holiday ends, and the rankings will be released then.”

Qin Jin paused his work, turned around, and looked at the figure below: “Yan Yue, I told you to stop reading so many juvenile web novels online. Uncle Yan always thinks it’s me who led you astray.”

It was a school-uniformed girl with a ponytail. She clenched her small fists slightly as she replied, “But this rule is so unreasonable!”

“In the novels I read, all the top academies have real-time Life Index rankings. I wonder when our school will have one too. Otherwise, it would delay your takeoff time!”

At this point, her expression became more serious as she counted on her fingers: “Qin Jin, I’ve checked. Including you, there are only five people in the whole school with a Life Index over ten.”

“If you can reach a Life Index of 20 and break through to the Newborn Realm before school starts, then being first in the whole school will be a piece of cake.”

“My dad has already promised me that as long as you become number one in the whole school, he’ll use his connections to introduce you to a big shot.”

“This is a Spiritualist, a real big shot, unlike the rough martial fighters. If he takes a liking to you and invests in you, you’ll soar to great heights, and I’ll follow…”

“Hey, hey, hey, Qin Jin, are you listening?”

“I’m listening.”

Qin Jin put down the mechanical arm, jumped down from the high ladder, and looked back at the big guy he just finished working on, nodding with satisfaction.

This was a humanoid mining mecha nearly ten meters high, with black and red paint, standing quietly, exuding a deep aura.

“You’ve been tinkering with it every day lately. Can it help you raise your Life Index?”

Yan Yue looked frustrated, “I really don’t understand you men, you just have to pilot mechas, right?”

“Focusing on raising your Life Index is the right thing to do now. If one day you become a Martial Arts Grandmaster, you can directly apply to the Federation for a custom mecha.”

“Alright, alright.”

Standing by Yan Yue’s side, Qin Jin was half a head taller. He patted her head softly to smooth her ponytail.

“I’ve never slacked off in my cultivation.”

“Rest assured, with the test after school starts, I’m determined to take first place.”

He was about to say more when Yan Yue’s communication watch on her wrist vibrated slightly, and a light screen popped up.

She glanced down, “My dad’s calling me home for dinner.”

“Want to come along?”

“You head back first, I still have some finishing work. I won’t be dining at your place today.”

“Then no leftovers for you.”

Leaving these words behind, Yan Yue turned and left the warehouse.

As the door descended, locking the warehouse, it left only one person and one machine in the empty space.

Qin Jin’s gaze lingered on the mecha in front of him. He exhaled deeply, his thoughts stirred, and phosphorescence flourished in front of him, gathering into a screen displaying information above.

[Name]: Qin Jin

[Age]: 16

[Profession]: [Martial Arts Family][Mecha Refitter]

His gaze focused on the Martial Arts Family section, revealing more information.

[Martial Arts Family: Unranked]

[Life Index: 16.6]

[Thunder Beast Breathing Technique: Level 3 (Perfection)]

“It’s been two months since awakening my memories.”

Qin Jin murmured in his heart.

Starting about two months ago, fragments of memories began appearing in his mind, increasing continuously, resembling the life memories of a person.

In these memories, he was a visitor from Earth.

Upon confirmation, it was highly likely that he had awakened his past life’s memories, known as the ’mystery of the womb.’

As these memories gradually completed, this mysterious profession panel appeared accordingly.

Over time, he roughly understood the panel’s information.

When he met certain basic conditions, a new profession would be generated on the panel, displaying the specific growth progress.

Seemingly ordinary, but after detailed research, Qin Jin discovered he could entirely verify whether his chosen path was correct through the profession growth progress.

Moreover, once his growth progress was recorded on the profession panel, it would solidify, avoiding the trouble of skills deteriorating without diligent practice.

For this reason, during this past time, Qin Jin’s Life Index growth was remarkable, making him a genius figure in the school.

“Practice the Breathing Technique, temper the body, when the Life Index reaches 20, the human body undergoes a transformation, officially stepping into rank, advancing to [New Life Realm].”

“A New Life Realm Martial Arts Family is eligible to apply for top academies within the star system, potentially using this chance to leave the Mining Star.

At a top academy, the resources, connections, the martial arts heritage available would be incomparable, a bright path.”

“The current primary goal is to reach Freshman Level.”

Qin Jin’s eyes were full of ambition.

In these two months, as memories intertwined, he researched many classics, gaining a deep understanding of the world he now resides in.

Today, he’s situated in the seventh star system of the Starfire Federation, the Corridor Star System.

According to classic records, almost ten thousand years ago, the Starfire Federation was a chaotic nation state, like Earth in past memories, but during a lunar mission, unknown civilization heritage was discovered on the moon.

The specific content of the civilization heritage is no longer traceable, the only known detail is it contained extraordinary star sea jump technology.

After that, the Starfire Federation was formed, beginning continuous exploration and expansion into the vast, endless star sea.

Today, nearly ten thousand years have passed, humans have set foot across the star sea, the Starfire Federation’s territory extends in all directions, becoming a colossus, and alongside diverse technological development, humanity began exploring self-evolution.

Technology, Martial Arts, Spiritual Energy, Esoteric Buddhism!

The four directions.

Among them, Technology Side requires money, Spiritual Ability Series needs awakening of related talents, while Esoteric Buddhism involves mysterious cosmic divine spirits, thus Martial Arts has become the most common choice among the public.

Martial Artists train themselves, explore themselves, enhance life energy, temper spiritual will, becoming known as Martial Arts Family!

Within every size of academy under the Starfire Federation’s Life Planets, there are specialized martial arts courses, the specific martial arts grades are also important considerations in major academic examinations.

With flickering thoughts, Qin Jin stepped onto the high ladder, climbing to the chest part of the mining-type mecha.

The chest cockpit opened, he entered inside, closing the hatch.

The initial darkness gave way to a sphere of light materializing in front of him after a moment.

Qin Jin extended his hands, placing them on the sphere.

In an instant, light swayed, in the dark void, Qin Jin formed a connection with the mining mecha, attempting to lift his right arm as if controlling his own body and flesh, and the mecha’s massive right arm rose in tandem, moving with his will.

This is a spiritual level connection.

As a Martial Arts Family raises their Life Index, they also need to hone their Spiritual Index, cultivating both divine body, thus making them excellent mecha pilots.

In rumors, the Federation’s most advanced combat mechas are even more tightly connected with Martial Arts Family, capable of wielding terrifying Blast Star Level power.

Such beings can traverse star sea alone, face cosmic divine spirits, and their pilots are genuinely ultimate evolved beings, Martial Arts Celestial Beings, transcending the ordinary.

After making a mental connection, Qin Jin’s vision was linked with the mecha, and after a few attempts, information appeared within the cockpit.

[Details Expand…]

This mining mecha named [Deep Driller] was one of the relics left by his parents.

The exploration of the boundless universe by the Starfire Federation has continued, with exploration teams formed by the Federation’s official and personal forces penetrating deeper into the star sea, exploring the unknown.

Qin Jin’s parents were members of one such private corporate exploration team.

When he was ten years old, his parents had an accident, lost during a star sea exploration, leaving him with a compensation fund.

Since then, Qin Jin had been living alone, with the only closeness being with the family of Yan Yue.

Yan Yue’s father, named Yan Gaoyuan, was a friend of his parents. After they went missing, he took great care of Qin Jin.

Because of this, Qin Jin and Yan Yue had an excellent relationship.

Familiarizing himself with the Deep Driller, Qin Jin’s thoughts stirred, and the profession panel reappeared within the cockpit.

He skimmed over the profession information above, looking at the bottom of the panel.

There, a bronze-gate-like icon about palm-sized was glowing brilliantly.

This is the second feature of the profession panel.

This Bronze Gate connects to an unknown mysterious world!
