Chapter 1125: Evolution

Anthony froze in his steps as he sensed the energy, the energy immediately poured and converged around his parents’ and grandparents’ blobs of flesh, and the next moment, it formed a cocoon, a small sized one, then pulsed; with each pulse, the size increased as though it was being steadily inflated, expanding with an eerie, rhythmic motion.

Anthony could tell the process seemed to have entered a critical stage.

The intensity skyrocketed with a booming sound that slammed onto Anthony, but his Infinity activated and blocked it immediately. Anthony ignored the blast entirely, his eyes fixed on the four huge cocoons as he waited and watched, his focus unwavering despite the overwhelming pressure.

The next moment, mana in its purest form hummed, then poured into the cocoons, seeping into them as though actively aiding the process, as though responding to some unseen call.

Hours passed without any visible change, the unknown energy and mana continued to hum and pour forth in endless streams without any sign of stopping anytime soon, their presence constant and suffocating.

Then a change came, a noticeable reduction in the activity of the unknown energy and mana. Anthony didn’t need to guess, he could tell the process was approaching its end, and within a few minutes, the unknown energy vanished in totality, returning to wherever it came from, while mana itself returned to its natural, normal state.

The cocoons remained, still pulsing like a heartbeat, steady and alive, then suddenly, a crackling sound emerged, followed by another echo, then another, then another, all four cocoons cracking at the same time as though some primordial eggs were hatching. Then, with a powerful blast, the cocoons exploded outward, yet they didn’t shatter into shards, no, they immediately dispersed into vanishing energy motes, dissolving into nothingness.

Irene, Collins, Michael, and Mitchelle all came into view, their bodies suspended in the air as they floated, seemingly unconscious, they hovered for a moment, unmoving, held in place by an unseen force, then suddenly, that force gently lowered them to the green grass plain, and the moment their feet touched the grass, they regained control over their bodies by sheer muscle instinct, their eyes fluttering open.

At that moment, the four of them stood dazed for a moment as though they were communicating with something unseen. But Anthony understood what was happening, their brains were being filled with information on whatever they had gained during their evolution, knowledge flowing into them like an endless tide.

Silence consumed the Mirror Dimension as nobody spoke, only the gentle sound of the breeze could be heard as everyone stood in quiet stillness, absorbing the moment.

Michael, who was already handsome due to him being an Apexus Mana Ranker, seemed to become even more striking, his height now reaching six feet eight inches. But it wasn’t only him, Mitchelle, Irene, and Collins all experienced the same phenomenon, their bodies brimming with vitality, their charm becoming even more absurdly elevated.

After a moment, the silence shattered as Michael was the first to speak.

”This is totally ridiculous,” he whistled as he spoke, his voice filled with shock as his mind processed the information he had just received, he could hardly believe it, as though something like this wasn’t supposed to exist.

”Is this even possible?” Mitchelle’s voice came next as she raised her hand and looked at it as though she was admiring the freshness and smoothness of her skin, but that wasn’t truly what held her attention.

”It seems we were nothing but frogs in a well,” Collins added as he felt the overwhelming power brimming within his body, his tone laced with awe.

As for Irene, she didn’t speak, she simply smiled, her expression serene, yet deeply satisfied.

They had all momentarily forgotten about the pain they had been subjected to due to the immensity of what they had received. They couldn’t care less about the pain at this moment, if they had to endure such suffering again to gain something of this level, they would agree to it in less than a heartbeat.

Anthony smiled as he saw the expressions on their faces, although they hadn’t said everything outright, he knew they had all received something that left them dazed and dazzled. He walked forward as he spoke with a smile, hiding the concern he had felt earlier since everyone was now back in one piece.

”I honestly thought you guys were going to die,” Anthony stated as he walked forward.

Anthony’s voice snapped them out of their thoughts, and they turned to him, wide smiles spreading across their faces.

”HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!” Michael laughed like a madman, ”my Baby Monster has outdone himself this time,” he spoke as he moved, scooping Anthony up as though he was a baby and raising him toward the sky.

Anthony immediately frowned and vanished from Michael’s grasp as he teleported back to his former position, he hadn’t expected Michael to do that, and he had been completely caught off guard.

’Thank God Veg wasn’t here to see that,’ he thought to himself as he was certain she would use it to tease him endlessly.

”You brat, you said it was only a bit of pain which we could endure, yet you had to watch us scream like little children,” Collins, who wasn’t much of a talker, was speaking and smiling at this moment, and rightfully so, who would remain silent after such an overwhelming boost?

But he still complained about screaming in front of Anthony, as though all the aura farming he had been doing since Anthony’s birth had just gone down the drain.

Mitchelle simply hugged Anthony and planted a kiss on his forehead as motherly love and gratitude filled her eyes to the brim.

Anthony smiled as he spoke, ”you all are almost as handsome and charming as me now,” his voice carried a playful boast as he still remained the most handsome.

”Sigh... your father is already married, if I were in my younger or single days, with such looks, I would have attracted all the women,” Michael replied with a sigh, sounding almost exasperated at the fact that he couldn’t make full use of his charm now that he was married and a loyal man.

”Sigh, I feel the same, with my new charm, more men would pester me, like that Pervy Sage, what was his name again, Azarion Starweaver?” Mitchelle replied as she matched Michael’s energy perfectly, both of them clearly joking.

Anthony simply shook his head at the two of them, he didn’t care about their banter, he only wanted to know what they had gained from their evolution, although he was already aware of one of their gains.

”So, what did you all gain?” he asked, his eyes filled with expectation.
