Strongest Hammer God

Chapter 929: More About Rites

After savoring the moment for some time, Kyle pushed the last bit of Energy into his mind.

BANG!

He felt like a wall inside his mind had broken, and the world became much clearer. He felt like his mind flowed with unprecedented clarity as the pain of the Fifth Refinement vanished.

However, there was something different about this breakthrough. Kyle moved his body, and he realized that there was no feeling of delay. His body was reacting just as quickly to his orders as before.

As he looked at his hands, countless insights washed through his mind. Knowledge, he hadnʼt realized he had been accumulating, suddenly reached the surface, and everything about his body suddenly made sense.

Everything was gathered in one spot, and an overarching concept was created.

The concept of how his body worked.

Kyle looked forward in shock as he realized something.

BOOOOM!

He had just comprehended the Major Law of Body!
His physical power shot through the roof. The increase in strength from his Infused Body Law became irrelevant as a much more powerful Law took its place.

However, this didnʼt mean that his Infused Body Law became irrelevant. After all, his body still had the attributes of his three Yin-Elements, which also increased his power.

ʼI didnʼt expect that I would finish the Major Law of Body during this Refinement. I mean, yeah, I thought I would, but that was before I actually experienced the Refinement. It was way more debilitating than I had anticipated.ʼ

Then, Kyle summoned his hammer and used his Law of Hammer.

When he felt its power, he couldnʼt help smiling.

ʼ54 percent! I can use 54 percent of my Energy! Thatʼs way better than before!ʼ

The next moment, Kyle tried the six abilities of his Imposing Law.

They were perfect!

They worked just as he had envisioned them!

At least, in terms of quality. The quality of his six abilities had reached perfection, but the efficiency could still be pushed further. By swinging his hammer many more times and getting even more familiar with it, he could keep the abilities stable while using more Energy. Metaphorically, one could say that his lifting technique had reached perfection and that he only needed to train more to lift more. He didnʼt need to change his Law of Hammer anymore. He just had to get better at using it.

ʼAlthough,ʼ Kyle thought as he remembered that last hit. ʼThereʼs another way. My other six abilities have reached perfection, but Iʼve seen the image of a seventh one. If I can master that one as well, I can improve the quality of my Law of Hammer further.ʼ

ʼItʼs not yet time to create my Refined Law. I need to push the quality as high as I can. Increasing the level of an Imposing Law doesnʼt stop me from creating a Refined Law. I can still improve it even after Iʼve made a Refined Law. Additionally, since Iʼm going to create my Refined Law in a safe manner, I can also dissolve it without destroying my Imposing Law.ʼ

ʼHowever, if the quality of my Imposing Law improves after Iʼve made a Refined Law, it will essentially make my Refined Law unusable. Canʼt connect two puzzle pieces when one of them gets a new knob or socket.ʼ

ʼI really want to keep improving my Law of Hammer, but that has to wait. The Fifth Refinement was more difficult than I had expected, and without the Major Law of Mind, I wonʼt be able to do anything during the Sixth Refinement.ʼ

ʼLuckily, according to the stronger Seekers, comprehending the Major Law of Mind is somewhat of a cheat for one of the Refinements. The pain of the Refinements helps with condensing the Major Law of Mind, and working on the Major Law of Mind also makes it easier to resist a Refinement. It basically increases your maximum level in the Wisdom Fire Realm by one.ʼ

ʼYouʼre supposed to work on it when you feel like youʼre approaching your limit. If you go too far and save your comprehension for too long, you will miss the best opportunity to comprehend it. If you are actually at your limit or beyond your limit, the Refinement wonʼt help you comprehend the Major Law of Mind but make it even harder.ʼ

Kyle sighed. ʼAs much as it pains me to admit, Iʼm pretty sure the Sixth Refinement is my limit for now. Thereʼs no way I can do anything during the Sixth Refinement. This will take all of my focus. The Seventh Refinement will be impossible unless I comprehend the Major Law of Mind. Therefore, the Sixth Refinement is just perfect for comprehending the Major Law of Mind.ʼ

ʼAnd the Seventh Refinement...ʼ

ʼIt will just be pure ass.ʼ

ʼLuckily, it will be the last one, and when Iʼm done with that, the worst Realm will be over.ʼ

ʼAnyway, I should check with the others.ʼ

”Iʼm done with my Fifth Refinement. Anything happen while I was busy?” Kyle asked.

As Kyle connected to the relay, he could somewhat feel the states of the others. This was one of its functions. When Kyle had started his Fifth Refinement, he had changed his state to ”busy”, which meant that he wouldnʼt receive any voice transmissions that werenʼt marked as absolutely critical.

Right now, Sebastian, Star Genesis, and Fierce Breaker were also busy, which meant they werenʼt reachable. Most likely, they were also going through one of the Refinements. Most likely, they were also busy with the Fifth Refinement.

Only Swamp Dragon and Manny were available.

”I have established our semi-secret way of communicating,” Manny transmitted. ”Major Sovignor will tell you about it when you get back. Otherwise, nothing has happened. Everyone is busy growing stronger and gathering information.”

”Iʼve deciphered many of the Rites,” Swamp Dragon interjected. ”I will convey their secrets and how they are created to you. As of now, I canʼt see a proper use for this information, but you might find something.”

”Sure, send it to me,” Kyle answered.

Swamp Dragon sent an ungodly amount of information to Kyle, explaining how the different Rites were practiced and how weaker Rites were created.

When Kyle looked through the information, some of his previous questions were answered.

ʼI was wondering how the Demons havenʼt found a weakness for all the weaker Rites. I mean, the powerful sets are kept secret so that the Demons canʼt find a counter, but the vast majority of Rites can be practiced by anyone. How is it possible that they still work?ʼ

ʼTurns out, thereʼs not just one Rite. There is a constant stream of new Rites. There are several hundred Spirit Lords in the Sects who do nothing but create new Rites. They produce one, publish it, destroy their copy, create a new one, publish it, and so on. The quality of these Rites is low when compared to the really good ones, but theyʼre still good enough for the Sages.ʼ

ʼThese Spirit Lords have access to the only Level Four Law Wells of Humanity. Running these Law Wells is insanely expensive, and only the Spirit Lords of the Sects can access them. These Spirit Lords are also the only Seekers who grow stronger in the traditional sense, without Rites or Refined Laws. They actually comprehend Laws and Imposing Laws.ʼ

ʼFinding a counter to a Rite is just as hard as creating it. Since there are more Demons than humans, it would make sense that the Demons could counter all of them.ʼ

ʼHowever, thatʼs not the case for several reasons. First, the vast majority of Demons are dumb. They donʼt know how to make a counter Rite. Second, they also have to find out how it works first. For that, they either need to run a bunch of experiments on Seekers or find the teaching manual for the Rite.ʼ

ʼYet, Rites are distributed unevenly. Different Bases get different Rites, and if the Demons find a counter to one Rite, Humanity can narrow the location of a spy or traitor.ʼ

ʼFor the Demons, itʼs just not worth the resources to counter all Rites. Instead, they only counter the really strong ones, but those ones are kept secret.ʼ

ʼI wonder if I can make use of these Rites.ʼ
