Strongest Hammer God

Chapter 903 – Everyoneʼs preparing

Killing had become so normal to Kyle.

Every second, he killed hundreds and thousands of Demons. He saw the appearance and mannerisms of every Demon he killed, and whenever he killed one, he saw how its life ended.

After years, ending lives had become as natural as breathing, although Kyle didnʼt need to breathe.

It was just such a natural and common occurrence.

Death, death, and even more death.

Yet, every life he ended represented a potential saved life. Sadly, despite the lines, he couldnʼt really see the difference he made.

However, this didnʼt mean that Kyle wasnʼt making a difference.

The Transcendents, Primals, and Crushers behind Fort S-878 didnʼt know that a Decimator had been deployed in its area, but almost all of them still knew that there was one.

First, the groups noticed that their next opponent wasnʼt immediately waiting for them. For once, they actually had time to recover.

Naturally, the Demons returned after some time, but by then, the chaos had given way to order. Since the teams had time to realign, they could choose opponents based on their level and area of deployment again. This made the next fights easier.

After some time, the chaotic fighting returned, but then there was another pause.

At that point, the people realized that there was a Decimator patrolling this area.

A year after Kyle had been deployed, another thing changed.

5% of the deployed teams were granted leave to work on their power. Transcendents could finally look at Laws again. Primals could finally unlock more Clusters. Crushers could go through another Compression.

The numbers the Commander of Fort S-878 got alleviated his worry. He hadnʼt been sure if Black Sin Hammer 37 could keep up with the quota. After all, his quota was 50 times higher than the quota of a Decimator of his level.

Yet, based on the numbers, Black Sin Hammer 37 was actually meeting the quota. The actual number of soldier deaths was 10% lower than the expected number.

A powerful Decimator couldnʼt protect the powerful Seekers, but they could protect their future powerful Seekers. According to statistics, Kyleʼs actions would increase the number of Spirit Lords in tens of thousands of years by over ten.

Oftentimes, when a Spirit Lord was asked about their most difficult battle, they recalled a battle near the frontlines when they had just been a Transcendent, Primal, or Crusher.

Sadly, one Sage could only do so much. In the grand scheme of things, Kyleʼs actions eased the pressure on Humanity by less than 0.0001%.

As Kyle kept killing waves of Demons, his companions also began their duties.

Swamp Dragon was going through the Second Refinement while doing several different things at the same time. He was refining all about the different Battle Rites, the history of Humanity, the values of Humanity, how to train a unit, how to train a mentally younger person, how to train a mentally older person, and so on. He also watched how experienced Guides taught their students. He needed to know all of these things if he wanted to be an effective Guide for the Tribes.

Sebastian was also going through the Second Refinement while learning about the Abyss and the Demons. At the same time, he also went through several exercises with his new team to promote teamwork. If everything worked out, he would soon join one of the excursions into the Abyss.

Star Genesis was also going through the Second Refinement. At the same time, she also studied the basics of Formation Arrays. She had believed that she already knew the basics, but that was not the case. The previous teams from Inner World had shared all their knowledge with Humanity, meaning Star Genesis was essentially learning how Inner World designed and created its Formation Arrays. She would need to spend several centuries relearning everything before she could take on any kind of job.

Many also went through the Second Refinement. While doing so, they also learned as much as they could about the world. On top of that, he needed to finish his Refined Law and reach a certain level with it. If his Refined Law wasnʼt up to par, he wouldnʼt be considered for a position in Humanity.

Fierce Breaker was the only one who wasnʼt allowed to start his Second Refinement. He had been sent to the frontlines immediately. His position was called Reinforcer. A Reinforcer worked alone, and their job was to patrol the battlefield and join any battle that seemed too hard for the battle team. He was supposed to change the tide of battle. If he did well, he would be allowed to start his Second Refinement while still doing his job.

Years passed.

BANG!

Kyle killed another New Sage Demon, its corpse joining the Corpse Mountain.

”There have been more New Sage Demons in this area recently,” Kyle thought, looking towards the east. ”Well, Iʼve expected this to happen since that one guy left.”

Kyle looked at a thick green Karmic Line. After years of looking at his Karmic Lines, Kyle had learned a lot more about them. He still couldnʼt tell where the other end of the Karmic Line was located, but he could make some guesses based on other things.

This green Karmic Line didnʼt represent Kyle receiving Karmic Luck. This green Karmic Line represented Kyle granting Karmic Luck to someone else. The sheer thickness of this Karmic Line meant that the person, on the other end, had saved Kyleʼs life several times, even though the two of them had never seen each other.

Just like Kyleʼs actions protected the people behind him, someone in front of him was also protecting him.

Sadly, the Karmic Line had lost some of its intensity some time ago. It was still there, which meant the person was still alive. According to his suspicions, Kyle believed that this person had left the frontlines or moved to a different Fort.

And sure enough, more New Sage Demons had appeared, making it harder for Kyle to fulfill his quota.

On the other hand, an increase in New Sage Demons also meant more practice for the Refined Law Kyle wanted to create.

Over the past years, he had also seen three Early Sage Demons. One hadnʼt noticed him, while the other two had attacked him.

The first battle had been intense, but a team of Shields had noticed the battle and joined. With their help, the battle became much easier. Luckily, normal Momentum rules didnʼt apply in such a war. This entire war was a constant battle, and everyone on the front lines felt like they were in a battle. This meant that Momentum increases only occurred when a Seeker entered one of the Forts or left the frontlines.

So, even if Kyle got saved or received some help, his Momentum wouldnʼt take a hit.

Sadly, nobody had saved him during his second battle, but he still managed to win.

The battle had counted as a light to medium True Battle. Kyle could have died, but he had felt like the clear favorite.

If anyone knew that Kyle had killed a Demon of a higher level all by himself, they would need some time to process.

Had this ever happened in the history of Humanity?

The most accurate answer Humanity could give was...

We donʼt know.
