Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chi Yan saw the classroom quiet down and then turned his gaze back to He Yue, ”Hey, He Yue, let me ask you, who is that guy who brings you in every morning?”

He Yue still didn’t make a sound.

”Are you mute or something?” Chi Yan spent a long time talking to He Yue here, but she didn’t say a word, so he deliberately provoked her.

”You’re the mute.” He Yue finally got angry, glaring at Chi Yan and loudly saying, ”Don’t go too far! What’s wrong with being a kid from the countryside? You shouldn’t look down on rural kids; it’s ignorance and shallowness like the questions you asked earlier.”

Chi Yan saw He Yueyue was upset, her pretty little face was flushed red, looking quite adorable: ”Oh, getting angry? Is that really necessary?”

”Absolutely necessary!” He Yue stood up abruptly, pointed to the aisle between the two rows of desks, and said, ”Please get off my desk! The farther away the better!”

Chi Yan stared at He Yue in shock for a long time without speaking, his eyes lingered on her rounded chest.

”You!! Chi Yan! You’re shameless!” He Yue yelled at Chi Yan angrily, ”If you keep this up, I’ll tell the teacher!”

Chi Yan looked at He Yue, swallowed, and said: ”Is this the fabled babyface... giant... breasts...”

He Yue felt hugely insulted, raised her book with both hands and slammed it on Chi Yan’s head, knocking him off the desk.

The loud noise stunned the entire class.

Even the unruly students at the back of the classroom were shocked.

Chi Yan got beaten!

You know, Chi Yan was the son of the city’s biggest entrepreneur, his family was as wealthy as Jin Shan, and he was domineering at school.

However, what’s undeniable is that his grades are exceptional.

In short, he’s one of those people favored by God, doesn’t read much but is smart, plus he has such outstanding looks and wealth, envied by many.

Such students, while troublesome for the teachers, aren’t ones they dare to confront.

Now that he got beaten, it’s certainly something that shook the entire class!

Usually, the students in this class buried their heads in books like ostriches, but at this moment, their eyes were wide open, waiting to see what would happen next.

Some were worried Chi Yan would get angry, others were anxious for He Yue.

”Alright! You’ve got some guts! You dared to hit me; let’s see what happens.” Chi Yan left, clutching his head, which was buzzing loudly from the hit.

”Let’s see then. I don’t believe you can really do anything to me.” He Yue usually doesn’t stir up trouble, but she doesn’t shy away from it when it arises.

After school, He Yue rode her bike home on her own.

Ning Chenguang had an important academic meeting at school tonight that he had to attend, so he couldn’t take a detour to pick up He Yue and could only let her head home herself.

She hadn’t gotten far from the school gate when a few boys blocked her path, with Chi Yan leading them.

”Come, come, get off the bike and let’s talk.” Chi Yan, uncharacteristically, smiled as he walked over to her, instead of wearing a stern face.

”Damn! Brother Chi is smiling, isn’t he?” asked Zhang Ming, Chi Yan’s little follower, rubbing his eyes.

Chi Yan rarely smiled, usually being the silent tough guy.

They seldom saw this expression on Chi Yan’s face.

”He’s smiling. You didn’t see wrong! I bet Brother Chi probably has a thing for this firewood girl!”
