One battle… shook the Heavens.

One battle… rend the Earth.

Every clash shattered the very space, causing the Sun and Moon to lose their light.

This was the most terrifying battle the cosmos had ever witnessed.

In fact, the battle had already spread across several galaxies. The shockwaves from their clashes swept through the starry expanse, like colossal tsunamis.

However, whether by intention or by chance, as their battle raged on…

*Crack…crack…* Crisp, brittle sounds rang out in succession as space collapsed, and the Demon Emperor and the Void Purple Dragon transformed into streaks of light, plunging into the interlayers of space.

*Booooom… Booooom…* In an instant, space shattered completely, and endless torrents of void turbulence surged forth.

Meanwhile…

Within the interlayers of space, there existed a world, much like the Buddha Realm or the Shadow Realm…

*Crack…* A sudden, piercing sound echoed throughout that entire world.

Following the sound, the eternally dark Heavens of that realm suddenly split apart.

Immediately after…

*Boooom… Boooom…* Two blazing streaks of light tore through the sky, ripping the firmament of that world clean in two.

*Boooooom… Booooom… Boooooom…* Terrifying rumbles rippled through the world.

Apparently, the entire world seemed unable to withstand the strain, and started to crumble piece by piece.

This was the Realm of Ghosts, a place where Mortal Souls returned.

And yet, this world was being torn apart amidst the clash of two awe-inspiring existences.

“So… such beings have already appeared within the universe…” A voice filled with shock rang out, a horrified look taking over the Lord of the Ghost Realm’s face.

[Merely the aftershocks of their battle have shaken the entire realm, and are even showing the momentum to completely destroy it. How is this even possible?!]

However, no matter how difficult he found it to accept it, witnessing the sky shattering and land collapsing, he fell silent.

*Boooooom…* Howling tempests flattened countless mountains and rivers alike.

Under the clash of those two figures, the entire world fell apart, riddled with cracks, utterly ravaged.

Fortunately, those two terrifying beings did not linger.

Instead, they continued their battle, plunging ever deeper into the layers of space.

*Boooooom… Booooom… Boooooom…*

Wherever they passed, thunderous roars followed, shaking yet another hidden world nestled within the interspatial layers.

This was a calamity.

The greatest calamity since time immemorial.

Two peerless existences shattered the space of the universe, then continued their ultimate slaughter deep within the layers of space.

…

Of course, this was only what others saw.

The real truth was that Yu Zi Yu was intentionally leading his two Forms toward the deepest region of all: the Void Space.

Only there could he truly ensure his safety.

After all, the Void could already be considered his territory.

The very Will of the Void would shelter him.

As for other worlds, even the Universe itself, compared to the Void, were far more dangerous than one might imagine.

*Hoooo…* Letting out a long, deep breath, Yu Zi Yu, who had finally retreated into the depths of the Void, finally exhaled in relief.

Faintly, he could feel a dull ache spreading through both bodies, like his palm, the back of his hand, etc.

This time, the two bodies had fought each other to the utmost. For the sake of realism, Yu Zi Yu had shown no mercy at all.

He had truly unleashed seventy to eighty percent of his power, engaging in an all-out clash…

Under such circumstances, sustaining injuries was inevitable.

However, his vitality surged the next moment, restoring both bodies once more instantly.

And not long after that…

In the deepest reaches of the Void, within a purple palace, Yu Zi Yu’s two bodies sat high upon their thrones, while his mind sank into contemplation.

[What next!? In what state should the Demon Emperor return!?]

Hesitating, Yu Zi Yu pondered quietly.

The most crucial step of deceiving the entire universe had already been completed. What remained was the finale, and it had to be executed flawlessly.

However, just then, as if struck by some realization, Yu Zi Yu guided the Soaring Purple Dragon Form into slumber…

[Purple Dragon Form needs to sleep. It can only grow stronger through slumber. As for what comes next, there’s no need for the Purple Dragon to act anymore. My True Body can handle everything alone!]

With a faint smile in his heart, Yu Zi Yu began to make his arrangements…

…

At this very moment, Yu Zi Yu had no idea that the entire universe was already in an uproar.

“For our sake, the Demon Emperor went alone and lured the Void Hegemon back into the Void…”

“Heavens, so this is the Demon Emperor?”

“Worthy of being the greatest Emperor since ancient times. This kind of bearing is beyond words…”

One voice after another rang out as countless powerhouses felt admiration well up in their hearts. Many gazes flickered uncontrollably.

A sense of yearning had already taken root.

Such grace and kindness could never be forgotten.

The Demon Emperor had not only shown grace to them individually, but to the entire universe as well.

…

However, just then, as if discovering something amazing, one powerhouse after another cried out in astonishment, “Look, the Void Army is retreating!”

Amid the shouts, countless experts saw it clearly: at the far end of the cosmos, the seemingly endless Void Army was withdrawing like a receding tide.

“They’re retreating! They are really retreating!”

“The Demon Emperor is mighty! The Demon Emperor is mighty!”

Excited cries echoed throughout the Starry Sky, filling countless hearts with exhilaration.

More than that, there was also the joy of having survived a catastrophe.

[If not for the Demon Emperor… we would have likely…]

At that thought, many experts felt their gratitude toward the Demon Emperor deepen even further.

However, just then, as if another thought had surfaced, a worried voice suddenly echoed across the Starry Sky, “The Demon Emperor has gone deep into the Void… who knows if—”

A rare worry appeared in Ni Shang’s beautiful eyes.

“It’ll be fine.”

Offering reassurance, Dream Dragon, the Matriarch of the Dragon Clan, spoke frankly, “The Demon Emperor’s strength exceeds all imagination. With his power, nothing will happen to him.”

“En.” Nodding slightly, Ni Shang finally let go of the worry weighing on her heart.

[That’s true! With such strength…nothing could possibly go wrong!]

What these powerhouses did not know, however, was that the very Demon Emperor they were worrying about was currently racking his brain over one simple question: In what state should he return?

“If I return gravely injured, wouldn’t that tarnish the Demon Emperor’s prestige? But if I return completely unscathed, wouldn’t that damage the Void Hegemon’s reputation instead…?” Muttering to himself, Yu Zi Yu felt a headache coming on.

This really was a difficult choice!

Still, one thing was certain, his decision would profoundly affect how Yu Zi Yu would rule the entire Starry Sky from here on.
