Inheriting A Divine Cultivation Clan At The Start, All My Juniors Are Empresses

Chapter 1167: Chapter 332: Feng Zhaoyang Arc (15)_3

The female cultivator was somewhat satisfied and she also spoke using the official language of the Fifth State: ”Not bad. To completely master the language of the Fifth State, you need to understand other people’s pronunciation. Our Sixth State tends to speak with open mouths, but the Fifth State speaks with closed mouths, using their lips, which makes their speech have a softer and lighter feel. Once you’ve learned this way of speaking, you’ll gain recognition from the Fifth State.”

The importance of language needs no further discussion. When encountering someone in the wilderness, if they speak your hometown dialect, you can immediately feel a much closer connection. Of course, you must still be cautious outside; it’s said that people from the Third State don’t deceive other people from the Third State, but in reality, those who deceive the most are their own people.

Your own people know more about each other, and it’s your own people who kill each other the most.

”Alright!”

Lu Qingyin then said in the language of the Third State:

”Senior, how... how far are we from the Third State now? The language of the Third State is noticeably harder; they... they don’t quite... don’t quite... pronounce...? The last time I heard how difficult this language was, was back then...”

She was red-faced, stumbling over her words.

The female cultivator wiped the sweat from her forehead: ”Take your time. There’s still two months; prepare for the questions others might ask you in advance and solve them simply; the issue shouldn’t be major.”

Goodness, stuttering while speaking can’t be learned, or it’ll be hard to correct.

Lu Qingyin nodded her head.

She continued studying some homophones. Mastering two languages in three to four months is indeed challenging, but Lu Qingyin had obviously prepared this time, so the problem shouldn’t be significant.

”So, what kind of fate awaits me when I reach the Third State? Am I sold into some family, or do I end up in a brothel?”

”I have no idea.”

”But no matter what, even if my fate seems very miserable, compared to my sister Qin Xiu who’s still in the Sixth State, I already have a much better outcome. At least I’ve left the war behind; at least there are places in this great world not at war.”

She looked down at the clean ground beneath her feet. After leaving the Sixth State for the Fifth State, even the air seemed purer as if the war instantly disappeared behind her. Though there was intense reluctance in her heart, she knew her future was fraught with difficulties, and she had to forge ahead step by step.

What a beautiful moonlit mountain ridge.

”Sister Qin Xiu, wait for my return!”

”No matter how many years it takes, I’ll return to your side; I will definitely rescue you from that wicked woman.”

”Unless I die; otherwise, I surely will!”

...

Next day.

Yuchi asked Feng Zhaoyang with confusion: ”Old Feng, why can’t I watch her match oh?”

The group had already arrived outside the State Capital. The people inside the State Capital were completely unaware of such events occurring; they continued living happily.

And there were six matches in total.

These matches were fought in different regions. From Yuchi’s perspective, since he had brought Wan Qishang in, he surely wanted to observe Wan Qishang’s combat situation, as that would provide more references. However, just then, when he intended to watch Wan Qishang’s match, Feng Zhaoyang blocked him, preventing Yuchi from heading to Wan Qishang’s match venue, which was the main reason for Yuchi’s puzzled inquiry.

So why?

”I forgot to tell you before. Though for the big shots of other state capitals, they can easily watch any match, you can see that there are many other dignitaries next to us.”

Feng Zhaoyang and Yuchi wore masks together, standing on a hilltop where not far away they could see the Flying Ships from the Celestial Craft Workshop. These Flying Ships each could accommodate a hundred people; there were six in total in this area, representing six different stage battles.

The gentlemen could drink a little wine, listen to tunes, and watch the matches below in the mountain ridge—such a way to enjoy life.

”But for those who brought people in, like the six people from Celestial Craft Workshop and the six people from the Li Family, watching their own corresponding match is prohibited.”

”As for the reason, it is quite simple. These battles are relatively brutal, and if an outsider dies, they’re just dead.”

”But if someone you know dies, it can be mentally taxing for those from Celestial Craft Workshop and the Li Family, hence creating an unwritten rule.”

Speaking of rules is complex. In fact, now that Yuchi has brought Wan Qishang in, he isn’t allowed to observe any match from the Foundation Establishment Stage, only processing matches concerning any Foundation Establishment Stage matches.

And Yuchi was momentarily stunned.

He seemed to catch an important point: ”What do you mean by the battle being relatively brutal, what do you mean by an outsider dying just being dead, and then when someone familiar dies, it becomes rather sad?”
