Inheriting A Divine Cultivation Clan At The Start, All My Juniors Are Empresses

Chapter 1045: Chapter 312: The Valley Master of Medicine Master Valley! The Bloodshed of Six Provinces! (Part 2)

Yuchi asked with a smile, feeling confused: ”What’s it about? Does she usually read the annals of history?”

Of course not! Sun Miaoxing shook his head: ”She erased a lot of her own memories.”

Huh? What does it mean to erase a lot of memories? Yuchi had a vague feeling, but he couldn’t be sure about it.

Sun Miaoxing was completely certain of his guess and said: ”Every thirty days, the Valley Master clears out her memories. Some unimportant memories are completely erased, leaving only knowledge of Medicine Master Valley, and basic face recognition memories.”

”Others say you need inner peace, but the Valley Master doesn’t need it.”

”Because she herself is a very peaceful existence; her memories don’t include useless ones filled with emotional colors, they’re all sorts of Divine Soul and Physique knowledge, which is why she appears confused, but actually, it’s because she’s too strong.”

Sun Miaoxing looked at Yuchi and thought: You should say damn.

Yuchi: ”Damn!”

Damn, really? Is this girl so fierce? Directly erasing her memories and leaving only knowledge, throwing away worldly emotions? It’s just like a reading machine without feelings.

Understood.

Now I know why this girl could become Valley Master, who knows what level she’s reached in pharmaceutics? So it wasn’t by being cute that she reached the Valley Master position of Medicine Master Valley, it was this almost abusive practice that led her there.

Yuchi completely forgot what he said earlier about not shouting loudly again, but now he couldn’t help but ask tentatively: ”Removing one’s memories directly, wouldn’t this feel uncomfortable? Wouldn’t you feel nauseous? After losing so many memories at once, wouldn’t there be a painful feeling of amnesia then unable to recall?”

”Sometimes I suddenly forget what I was going to do, trying hard to remember what I wanted to do, can’t recall, and that feeling makes me sick. Also, once this compulsive feeling starts, it’s hard to maintain a calm state.”

”So, doesn’t she feel uncomfortable?”

Sun Miaoxing: ”When you don’t even know what feeling uncomfortable is, would you still feel uncomfortable?”

Yuchi: ”...”

Sun Miaoxing said with a smile: ”Exactly, uncomfortable? You need memories of discomfort first, which the Valley Master simply doesn’t have.”

”Even if she had some unpleasant feelings this month because she saw you, the damned, it wouldn’t be a problem; once this month ends, she’ll erase you from her memories thoroughly, and she’ll still be the stable Medicine Master Valley’s Valley Master.”

Caught the chance to slam me, that old thief Sun... Yuchi could only smile wryly: ”I get it, so the girl operates like this, only retaining knowledge, keeping as little else as possible, doing this should be pretty difficult.”

Sun Miaoxing nodded seriously: ”Yes, it’s very hard, currently there’s only the Valley Master in Medicine Master Valley who can erase her memories without causing Divine Soul issues. No one know how she does it, and no one intends to learn such a skill. Remember, memories are the evidence of how long one has lived, without memories, whether one exists or not becomes unclear.”

Physique and Divine Soul are matched. Physique refers not only to the flesh but also the memories within, which must match with Divine Soul.

If there are issues with memories, then the matched Divine Soul will definitely have problems, so to stabilize Divine Soul before erasing one’s negative emotions and retaining pure emotionless knowledge, that requires scary determination.

After all, when I formatted a hard drive in a previous life, there was reluctance, unwilling to let go of the memories stored there over the years. Some sentimental people can’t delete photos of relatives from their phones, yet these are merely shallow evidence of memories, different from pure memories themselves.

How cruel to oneself to erase one’s memories, was there really no one worth cherishing within those memories the first time doing so? Or forget people, was there not even a simple memory fragment worth keeping?

Otherwise, a computer hard drive filled with random data wouldn’t be entirely formatted for a precious video memory.

”She’s too fierce.”

Yuchi didn’t know how to express his view on this Valley Master.

Is she strong? Definitely strong, to manipulate memories like that, it’s nearly non-destructive memory manipulation. But is she weak? She’s weak too, as ultimately it’s fear of memories having adverse effects that causes her to erase them.
