Chapter 1041: Chapter 311: Only by Acting Can You Win! This Is a Wandering Soul!

”In the wandering spirit state, the Divine Soul can already leave the physique and cause disturbances everywhere. As for the hailstorms throughout the sect you mentioned, these aren’t deliberately summoned by the wandering spirit. Instead, they are the heavens unable to tolerate the mischief of such a soul. To understand, a wandering spirit can be seen as a ghost.”

”So once a wandering spirit appears, the heavens will gradually increase the punishment. It might start with heavy rain, then severe snowstorms, then thunder and lightning, even leading to the Thunder Tribulation faced at the Nascent Soul Stage, vowing to entirely obliterate the wandering spirit to prevent it from plaguing the world.”

Is that how it actually is?

Yuchi previously thought this shadow was the one creating the bad weather. Turns out it’s a passive skill—a negative one at that!

Yuchi looked admiringly at Sun Miaoxing: ”Your words are more enlightening than reading for ten years, Elder Sun truly has great powers, I am genuinely impressed!”

This is genuine admiration. Many things, when relying solely on oneself to think, could make one’s head feel like exploding, yet unable to figure it out until a person enlightened shares a bit of guidance. Then many things naturally fall into place, like the Mountain Protection Array at the Ascension Gate, which not only protected the disciples, but also protected the wandering spirit.

Thinking now, Xuexiang’s wandering spirit is quite stubborn, even with all that, still wants to run outside. It’s truly fearless of death.

”Haha, don’t praise me, I’ll get conceited,” Sun Miaoxing chuckled mischievously.

Then, under Yuchi’s respectful gaze, he began to lose himself a bit, since being praised by a bit player didn’t really stir any feelings, but to be sincerely complimented by someone like Yuchi, it truly warms the heart, people are made of flesh after all.

”The situation was likely like this; your disciple should have been cultivating at the time.”

”Because while she’s cultivating, a lot of Spiritual Qi washes over the physique, so the physique, like a hair follicle freshly washed with hot water, couldn’t control the Divine Soul and hair. Consequently, the Divine Soul and hair are easily washed away by the Spiritual Qi.”

”As a result of this, the Divine Soul left the body and became a wandering spirit.”

Feeling Yuchi’s respect beside him, Sun Miaoxing spoke in greater detail.

”A connection exists between the wandering spirit and the physique, but there is only one Divine Soul Silk connecting them. The wandering spirit wishes to escape, but perhaps the surrounding heavens quickly exert pressure, forcing the wandering spirit to reluctantly return.”

”As for why sleepwalking occurs, it’s because the body is searching for its wandering soul. In common terms, her soul is lost, it ran outside. Her physique, to prevent the Divine Soul Silk from breaking, actively follows the Divine Soul.”

”In others’ eyes, this is sleepwalking.”

Sun Miaoxing indeed lives up to his reputation; although there’s an ongoing disciple dispute, undeniably he’s from Medicine Master Valley, and his skill is truly impressive. After listening, Yuchi understood some things and speculated: ”Could frequent sleepwalking indicate a problem with the Divine Soul?”

”Yes.”

Sun Miaoxing confirmed: ”This often occurs among children and those with unstable conditions.”

”Such situations are highly dangerous. If someone forcibly awakens them, the Divine Soul Silk might tear due to sudden constriction of the physique, causing the Divine Soul to lose its link with the physique completely, becoming a totally solitary ghost.”

”If things reach that point, it’s dangerous, calamities will inevitably fall, swearing to destroy the Divine Soul.”

”So your disciple doesn’t have any calamity interpretation. It’s just her Divine Soul being strong. Wandering spirits are often troublesome, which annoys the heavens, making them think everyone around the wandering spirit is an accomplice, thus fate gets worsened, known as misfortune.”

Sun Miaoxing: ”If you were the heavens, being often provoked by a wandering spirit, and unable to quickly eliminate it, you’d probably be quite annoyed too. Hence, an all-out attack is launched on the region around the wandering spirit, yet because the owner of the wandering spirit has a rather strong soul, they usually remain unharmed, but the closer people are, the more miserable their luck becomes.”

Got it.

Now I understand.

After Sun Miaoxing explained things clearly, Yuchi felt deeply shocked. Is it really this serious? He thought it was just sleepwalking; turns out it’s about retrieving a soul that’s left the body? That mysterious female shadow, was it actually Xuexiang herself all along?

But once the Divine Soul leaves, where does it go?

Could it undergo Impure Land Rebirth or something?!

Break your Impure Land Rebirth... Sun Miaoxing retorted speechlessly:

”This is how it is; if the Divine Soul is far stronger than the physique, it will lead to the physique being completely suppressed, unable to tame the entire Divine Soul. The Divine Soul is unwilling to stay with the physique; to put it lightly but seriously, it wants to run away from home. Yet the physique causes some lingering emotions, leading it to start causing mischief around.”
