Inheriting A Divine Cultivation Clan At The Start, All My Juniors Are Empresses

Chapter 978: Chapter 301: Corridor to Yuncao Tower! Forming a Paladin Team?

Yes.

The situation at Ascension Gate now cannot be dwelled upon too much; the more you think about it, the more you may feel a bit apprehensive.

”If the disciples were all cultivators, then the weather issues could be temporarily set aside. After all, once they reach a certain level of cultivation, weather wouldn’t pose any danger to cultivator disciples. However, there are also other disciples within the sect who are more vulnerable, so proper planning is necessary.”

”At least, the stronger disciples should reside in relatively more dangerous areas, whereas the ones prone to injury need a safer place to live. Currently, Ascension Gate has four platform levels. In terms of danger level, the one closest to the mountain’s base is the safest and most suitable for them to reside in”

”But if only three disciples are placed at the bottom, it would be too deserted, and it may be hard for them to look out for each other if something happens. So, the disciples should not be separated when the numbers are insufficient. I need to devise a solution so that in the future, adverse weather will not harm the disciples again, or else it will be my negligence as the Sect Leader.”

The solution needs to be considered.

But Yuchi lacks enough gold and silver for the Mountain Protection Array to be open 24/7, costing a thousand points a day, totaling more than three hundred thousand a year. The annual income of Ascension Gate disciples is less than a million, and increasing the expenses by thirty percent, amid the Immortal Robe Pavilion’s and the sect’s secondary businesses’ stagnation, is certainly adding insult to injury.

”Otherwise, we might as well buy a professional medicinal field.”

The medicinal field can be placed directly on the ground, just like Ascension Gate’s current approach, only costing a thousand taels and the problem not being significant.

But such medicinal fields are exposed to the elements.

If one wants the medicinal field not to be exposed, a building needs to be constructed for it.

The building is structured story by story, with each story being a ten-meter square room. Due to the Yuncao Tower’s strong expansion capabilities, future connectivity between these with sky bridges can form a sizable medicinal herb cultivation zone, so the price of Yuncao Tower is very expensive.

The cheapest option is a nine-story Yuncao Tower, priced at a hundred thousand Dao points... regretting not having taken Xiang Shaoyuan’s dowry straight away.

”Let’s buy it.”

”The Yuncao Tower is beneficial for medicinal herbs; each floor can adjust corresponding feng shui and weather. Expensive as it is, at least disciples won’t be subjected to danger while focusing on cultivating medicinal herbs.”

As the saying goes, no sooner said than done. Yuchi first went to the original location of the three medicinal fields and collected them directly, then erected a nine-story Yuncao Tower. The Yuncao Tower resembles a Demon-locking Tower, with eight sides. Good gracious, this flying eaves and walk-through-wall style really doesn’t seem like it’s for medicinal herb cultivation.

Inside the Yuncao Tower, the first sight is an upward staircase, crisscrossing with nine floors total, and at each floor, facing eight directions, there are eight expandable doors. These doors can form corridors, connecting to the Yuncao Tower next door, which is actually quite nice.

Since this is the case, there’s no need to skimp on medicinal fields. The medicinal fields have also been enhanced, making the fields appear as if made from white velvet.

Now the Yuncao Tower has nine floors, and each floor has corresponding medicinal fields.

Yuchi temporarily made a corridor at the entrance facing south on the first floor, which connects directly to the Immortal Grass Tower, and then placed a corridor at the east entrance, extending all the way to the location of four Hexagonal Immortal Towers. Thus, when disciples leave their residences, they have a sheltered corridor they can safely walk through.

It is much safer now.

”Hmm, your balance is now less than one hundred twenty thousand. Please recharge in advance.”

”...”

”Are the corridors this expensive!?”

Yuchi wept, sitting on a long wooden bench next to the corridor, feeling for the first time that Ascension Gate was in serious financial crisis. After having more gold and silver, the sect’s spending has been extravagant. Is there really less than one hundred twenty thousand now? Will there come a day when I have to flee with a bucket?

One hundred twenty thousand, to be safe, that is Ascension Gate’s annual expenses. Is this really Ascension Gate? It is a devouring sect. Using my head to earn a hundred twenty thousand, unless I make some ill-gotten gains, it would be letting Ascension Gate down.

But now, finally, with corridors throughout Ascension Gate, it doesn’t seem so deserted. The straight corridor, with lanterns under the eaves illuminated by Luminous Pearls for lighting—no wonder it’s so expensive.

Now, the long corridor is brightly lit in the dark, akin to returning home. With the ability to accommodate five people walking side by side, the efficiency of passage is also very high. Coupled with clean wooden flooring, it is all luxuriously sophisticated.

Looking to the left, hmm, hanging with various lanterns is the Hexagonal Immortal Tower, four in total, plus other daily living buildings totaling eight scattered together. After crossing the corridor through the Martial Arts Arena, on the right are the Immortal Grass Tower, Yuncao Tower, and Land of Trial, there are quite a few buildings now.
