Inheriting A Divine Cultivation Clan At The Start, All My Juniors Are Empresses

Chapter 487: Chapter 220: Small Plan! You Have to Take Responsibility for Me! _3

Su Qifang nodded, showing a grateful expression to Yuchi: It’s really not easy, as long as this young man understands. Once he understands, he’ll back off when faced with difficulties, otherwise everyone ends up unhappy—what’s the point in that? A peaceful breakup, that’s exactly what this is—a peaceful breakup. I wish you a bright future.

He took a sip of the tea poured by Yuchi and praised, ”Good tea.”

”Thank you.”

Yuchi smiled and turned the conversation, ”Continuing from what we discussed earlier, Patriarch Su, you believe in cooperating with our Chamber of Commerce, but from beginning to end, I never mentioned the Chamber at all. I spoke from a personal standpoint.”

”A personal standpoint?”

Su Ruyi clearly couldn’t understand at first. As the president of the Chamber, why would Yuchi operate from a personal standpoint? Isn’t being the president of the Chamber appealing? Is this about starting a different business?

That would mean leveraging the Chamber’s prestige and then setting up on his own? What other ventures will he pursue in the future?

Su Ruyi didn’t immediately provide a definitive guess; instead, she looked slightly puzzled at the young man in front of her, waiting for him to elaborate.

As for his business partner, Yuchi had no intention of hiding anything; he candidly said:

”Indeed, I want to open a store specifically aimed at female cultivators, wherein both the styles and the quality and material of the clothes will be distinct. Naturally, the prices are significantly higher than ordinary garments. In such circumstances, I need more control over fabric sourcing, hence my approach to discuss with Patriarch Su.”

Su Ruyi understood: ”President Yuchi intends to start anew, focusing on business with cultivators, wanting to use garments like ours to match the price, thereby avoiding conflicts with the Chamber’s own business.”

Understandable. If Yuchi were to compete within the Chamber, it might upset the other members and create discomfort. Who knows if Yuchi might exploit the Chamber for personal gain and possibly suppress other families?

Hence, business cannot be set within the Chamber, and the idea of competing with regular clothing must be abandoned. Instead, the focus needs to be on doing business with cultivators. Few will comment on this, and such business generally offers higher profit margins than regular ventures.

”Yes, the store location has already been selected—in Jiangzhou City, where there’s a good area and a store ready to be utilized,” Yuchi said with a smile.

The store is all set? Well prepared indeed! Su Ruyi nodded, ”I understand your point, President. Your idea is sound because our Su Family’s target coincides highly with yours... but there are things I’m unsure whether they should be said or not?”

”There’s nothing hindering between us,” Yuchi replied, returning to his seat and pouring himself some tea. ”Feel free to speak; no accusations will arise.”

”Well, then I’ll speak frankly. You certainly can do this, but you will encounter many issues.”

”First, how can you be sure that cultivators will buy your clothing? Cultivators do not hold commerce in such high regard. Expecting them to purchase attire from a store opened by you doesn’t make sense on a large scale.”

Cultivators are somewhat arrogant, casually buying clothes is trivial, but specifically purchasing from a store founded by a mortal is quite questionable.

”Second, we can help you with material sourcing, as we know many partners in garment production. However, your initial quantity will surely be small, so how can you ensure our family’s upkeep?”

This is a very realistic issue. Most businesses lose money initially, and it’s a test of endurance, especially such a store targeting cultivators. How can you ensure volume? Without volume, everything is empty talk. If it’s just a little fabric you need, we can sell it to you, but how can a small shop support the entire production of our family?

Don’t start with smiles, ending with tears; nurturing a family is no small task!

”Third, since it’s aimed at cultivators, the price isn’t the problem, and the material sourcing we can help with as well. But what about the style? Do you really think just switching out the fabric material will make them pay readily?”

This is extremely realistic. They’re both aprons; one is ten coins worth of fabric, the other is a hundred taels, and you expect a cultivator to choose the hundred-tael fabric casually? At such rates, people seek validation. The more distinct, the better.

The demand is for the ”different,” the pursuit is to stand out from others. Otherwise, if you’re just concerned about quality and not appearance, this business will not sustain.

Otherwise, if a passerby comments: Does this outfit look just like mine? Bought for ten coins too?
