The Sword God of the Universe

Chapter 2085: Accepting the Trial

Yihua Palace Master shot forward, trying to get close to the East Emperor God-Emperor’s remains, but very soon she discovered that she simply could not enter.

That world was right before her eyes, yet she could not step into it.

Jing Yan looked toward the Guiding Immortal Spirit, wanting to open his mouth and ask the other to let Yihua Palace Master enter.

The Guiding Immortal Spirit sensed Jing Yan’s gaze and knew what Jing Yan wanted to say.

He shook his head and said, ”Since you don’t plan to go to the Mixed Element Immortal Domain, you cannot go inside. I can let you in, but once you go in, you can never come out. After entering, there are only two outcomes: either you pass the trial and enter the Mixed Element Immortal Domain, or you die inside.”

”However, I can pull out the corpse of that kid called East Emperor. Living Life, I can’t take them out of the Guiding Space, but dead Life, I can relocate them from within.” the Guiding Immortal Spirit continued.

As his voice fell, he rubbed his fingers together.

The scene before Jing Yan and Yihua Palace Master shifted slightly, and the East Emperor God-Emperor’s remains emerged from within that world, appearing before the two of them. The East Emperor God-Emperor’s remains still maintained a cross‑legged posture.

”East Emperor!” Yihua Palace Master’s eyes were already brimming with tears.

She flung herself onto the East Emperor God-Emperor’s remains, her delicate body trembling violently.

She had always believed that the East Emperor God-Emperor was still alive.

Yihua Palace Master had always thought that the East Emperor God-Emperor had perhaps simply left this Chaos. Only now did she know that the East Emperor God-Emperor was truly already dead, dead here.

From the information revealed in the Guiding Immortal Spirit’s words, it seemed that the East Emperor God-Emperor had originally intended to go to the Mixed Element Immortal Domain and thus accepted the trial. It was just that he failed to pass it and died in that world created specifically to test Chaos Creatures.

”Yihua Palace Master, please accept my condolences.” Jing Yan sighed softly.

Yihua Palace Master also gradually restrained her grief.

”Senior, may we bring the East Emperor God-Emperor’s remains back to the Chaos World?” Jing Yan again looked toward the Guiding Immortal Spirit and asked.

”Of course you can. Keeping this corpse is of no use to me. After that kid called East Emperor, no Life from this Chaos World ever reached this place. Now that you’ve come, if you wish to take his corpse away, then just take it.” the Guiding Immortal Spirit said very straightforwardly.

”Many thanks, Senior.” Jing Yan cupped his hands in thanks.

Within this Chaos, Jing Yan was the supreme existence. But this Guiding Immortal Spirit clearly existed on a level beyond the Chaos World. So before he figured out exactly what level the other party was at, Jing Yan maintained a respectful attitude.

”Don’t call me Senior, I’m just a Guiding Immortal Spirit. Here, I’m only responsible for one thing: guiding Life from the Chaos World to the Mixed Element Immortal Domain.” The Guiding Immortal Spirit waved his hand. ”Little fellow, just call me Immortal Spirit.”

”Yes!” Jing Yan said.

”Immortal Spirit, if I want to go to the Mixed Element Immortal Domain, do I still need to undergo the trial?” Jing Yan asked.

Yihua Palace Master clearly had no intention of going to the Mixed Element Immortal Domain, but Jing Yan was going to leave this Chaos. If he did not leave this Chaos, he would never have the ability to seek revenge against that Luo Dejie.

”All Chaos Creatures who wish to go to the Mixed Element Immortal Domain must undergo the trial.”

”By passing the trial, one can enter the Mixed Element Immortal Domain. Moreover, passing the trial also grants an enormous benefit. This benefit is obtaining the Thunder Emperor’s inheritance. Little fellow, you may not understand the Thunder Emperor’s inheritance very well. I can tell you that in the Mixed Element Immortal Domain, the Thunder Emperor’s inheritance is also a first-class Immortal Technique.” The Guiding Immortal Spirit said to Jing Yan.

”Understood.” Jing Yan nodded.

”Yihua Palace Master, shall we leave here first?” Jing Yan said to Yihua Palace Master.

Yihua Palace Master hugged the East Emperor God-Emperor’s remains and silently nodded in grief.

Jing Yan took Yihua Palace Master and first left the Purple Thunder Forbidden Zone, returning to Luoshui Divine Palace in the Ultimate Land.

Before going to the Purple Thunder Forbidden Zone, Yihua Palace Master had thought that this trip would delay them for a very long time; she had not expected to return in only a few months.

”Yihua Palace Master, do you wish to go to the Mixed Element Immortal Domain?” Jing Yan asked.

”Jing Yan Daoist, I only want to stay with East Emperor. I don’t want to go anywhere.” Yihua Palace Master shook her head and said.

”The East Emperor God-Emperor has already fallen. You should not be overly grief‑stricken. I hope you can recover soon. Then I will take my leave.” Jing Yan paused for a moment and said.

After saying this, he flashed away.

After leaving Luoshui Divine Palace, Jing Yan walked a circuit around the border of the Chaos, collecting all the Chaos Spirit Milk he could find. Chaos Spirit Milk contained the Chaos Origin. Jing Yan felt that even in the Mixed Element Immortal Domain, resources like Chaos Spirit Milk should still be useful. As for ordinary resources, Jing Yan did not plan to take them.

After making his preparations, Jing Yan once again returned to the Purple Thunder Forbidden Zone, arriving above the secret treasure left behind by the Thunder Emperor.

”Little fellow, why have you come back again?” The Guiding Immortal Spirit appeared once more.

”Immortal Spirit, I want to go to the Mixed Element Immortal Domain!” Jing Yan said directly.

As for accepting the trial, Jing Yan had nothing to hesitate over.

This body was only a Dharma Body. Even if he failed the trial, at worst he would lose this Dharma Body. His true body would remain within the Chaos, going nowhere.

The true body would guard the Chaos; the Dharma Body would go to the Mixed Element Immortal Domain to seek new opportunities.

”Oh? You’ve thought it through? There is a high chance of dying in the trial. That kid called East Emperor was also very confident in himself before he accepted the trial, yet in the end he failed to pass and died within the Guiding Space.” The Guiding Immortal Spirit’s eyes brightened as he looked at Jing Yan.

The Guiding Immortal Spirit did, in fact, hope that more Chaos World Life would accept the trial and go to the Mixed Element Immortal Domain. However, before a Chaos Creature accepted the trial, he still had to make the dangers clear.

”I’ve thought it through.” Jing Yan said with a light smile.

”In that case... enter the Guiding Space.” The Guiding Immortal Spirit waved his hand.

The next moment, Jing Yan vanished from the platform and appeared in the Guiding Space, before that gigantic statue.

As soon as he entered, Jing Yan felt a terrifying pressure descend. This pressure was somewhat similar to the pressure emanating from the Guiding Immortal Spirit, but it was even more frightening than what the Guiding Immortal Spirit released. This pressure directly targeted a Life’s Divine Soul Body.

Jing Yan’s Kneeling cross‑legged, his Divine Soul Body bearing the pressure.

Jing Yan’s Divine Soul Body was perfect, without the slightest impurity. Though the pressure was terrifying, it posed little threat to Jing Yan’s Divine Soul Body. Jing Yan was even able to pry into the source of this pressure.

”This Mysterious energy seems capable of cleansing the Divine Soul Body of the Life that enters this place. The trial of the Guiding Space should be the purification of a Life’s Divine Soul Body, right?” After peering for a while, Jing Yan gradually gained some understanding.

The East Emperor God-Emperor had failed the trial most likely because he could not withstand the purification of the Guiding Space’s Mysterious Energy.
