The Sword God of the Universe

Chapter 891: Revised: Chapter 891 The Second Plan

Old Six left the arena and returned to Jing Yan’s side under the watchful eyes of everyone from the Chu Family.

Where did Jing Yan’s followers come from? What kind of monsters are they? This Old Six actually killed Yang Shi from the Netherworld Sect with his bare hands! If not seen with their own eyes, who could believe this to be true?

Bai Anshu from the Jade Book Sect was also utterly stunned.

The third match they were certain to win ended in such a conclusion. If it were just losing the third match, it would be understandable, but Yang Shi actually died! Yang Shi, whom the Netherworld Sect had heavily cultivated, died in today’s literary duel!

”Chu Xianlie, aren’t you guys... going too far?”

”You actually killed Yang Shi! You should know how important Yang Shi was to our Netherworld Sect.” Lu Chen’s face was cold as he looked at Chu Xianlie, his voice deep.

”Since it’s a competition, injuries are unavoidable. Didn’t the person from the Jade Book Sect seriously injure Huang Yishan in the second match?” Chu Xianlie remained silent, but Jing Yan spoke up with a smile.

”Who are you?” Lu Chen’s cold gaze swept towards Jing Yan.

At the beginning, when the Chu Family entered the Netherworld Sect Battle Camp, Lu Chen and others did not pay attention to Jing Yan. Although Jing Yan seemed unfamiliar, they just assumed he was an ordinary member of the Chu Family.

It wasn’t until Jing Yan called Old Six back from the arena that Lu Chen began to pay attention to Jing Yan. It wasn’t Chu Xianlie, the commander of the Chu Family Camp, who called Old Six back, but this young martial artist in a blue robe.

Who is this person really?

The one called Old Six, who killed Yang Shi on the arena, seemed to completely follow Jing Yan’s instructions, not Chu Xianlie’s, the commander of the Chu Family Camp.

”Who I am is none of your concern. You can consider me a helper for the Chu Family. In this literary duel, there’s no rule against outsiders helping, is there? Otherwise, why did your Netherworld Sect help the Jade Book Sect in the duel?” Jing Yan smiled.

”Fine! Very well!” Lu Chen was so furious that he laughed.

Jing Yan’s words left Lu Chen with no rebuttal. Everyone knew Yang Shi was from the Netherworld Sect, yet he fought for the Jade Book Sect. So, couldn’t the Chu Family Camp enlist some help? Plus, when Huang Yishan was injured in the second match, how did Bai Anshu respond to the Chu Family? Are they now going to contradict themselves?

Lu Chen’s face changed as he tried to figure out Jing Yan’s identity, but after pondering for a long time, he couldn’t think of a young martial artist named Jing Yan emerging in the Quicksand Divine Domain. Moreover, it seemed this person had a significant relationship with the Chu Family.

”Today’s literary duel, the Chu Family won. The new mine source will be mined by the Chu Family.” Lu Chen had no choice but to announce the duel’s outcome.

Although reluctant, he couldn’t lie about the results. Today’s literary duel between the Chu Family Camp and the Jade Book Sect Camp was public knowledge in the gathering place, with many forces watching. Even the Netherworld Sect had to acknowledge the Chu Family’s victory.

”Commander Chu, I won’t keep you any longer. You can leave now!” Lu Chen waved his hand at Chu Xianlie.

”Commander Lu, we take our leave then.” Chu Xianlie didn’t wish to stay a moment longer at the Netherworld Sect Battle Camp.

With the matter resolved and the outcome decided, it was best to leave as soon as possible.

Even though with many eyes watching, the Netherworld Sect probably wouldn’t dare to attack the Chu Family Camp members, it was better to be safe than sorry.

Chu Xianlie led the Chu Family quickly out of the Netherworld Sect Battle Camp, boarded the warship, and headed back to the Chu Family Camp.

The Chu Family left, but the Jade Book Sect did not leave immediately.

”Lord Commander, should we implement the second plan?” Bai Anshu carefully asked standing in front of Lu Chen.

He knew that with Yang Shi dead, Lu Chen’s mood must be extremely foul.

”Implement it!” A fierce gleam flashed in Lu Chen’s eyes.

”It’s just that the Chu Family’s helper seems somewhat extraordinary.” Bai Anshu frowns slightly, referring to Jing Yan.

”Hmph, I don’t care who he is or what his status is. In the Quicksand Divine Domain gathering place, even if he’s a dragon, he must coil up for me.” Lu Chen gritted his teeth.

”Commander Bai, proceed with the second plan! Be sure it’s done cleanly, leaving no evidence. Otherwise, our Netherworld Sect will face many troubles.” Lu Chen’s voice lowered.

”Yes, I understand. Lord Commander, leave this to me. Rest assured, I will handle it perfectly.” A gleam of excitement flashed in Bai Anshu’s eyes as he departed.

On the Chu Family warship.

”Old Six, when you were fighting Yang Shi, your combat power suddenly skyrocketed. What happened?” Jing Yan inquired of Old Six.

”Just activating the core hub. Under normal circumstances, we puppets won’t use our second form. But that Yang Shi was indeed formidable. If I didn’t use my second form, I would have been thrown off the arena.” Old Six replied.

”Second form? All of you have a second form?” Jing Yan was astonished.

”Yes, we puppets all have a second form. However, we can’t maintain the second form for too long as it consumes a lot of energy. Our internal array constantly absorbs the world’s energy, but in the second form, the absorbed energy cannot match the consumption.” Old Six nodded.

”When you fought me, you didn’t use your second form.” Jing Yan shook his head.

”You are the inheritor. Our existence’s purpose is to test the inheritor’s strength, not to fight to the death with the inheritor. As long as the requirements are met, it’s enough.” This time Old Second spoke.

Several other puppets also nodded.

...

Chu Family Headquarters in Feiyu City, Quicksand Divine Domain.

”Patriarch, you must give me an explanation for this!” An elder with a gloomy face spoke to the Chu Family Patriarch.

He was Chu Dongxiong’s grandfather, Chu Family core elder Chu Ziming.

”That Jing Yan is Chu Lianxing’s son. Even though he is your grandson, you cannot let him act recklessly in the Chu Family Camp. He can hurt Dongxiong today, and he might kill other Chu Family members tomorrow. Over time, what then?” Chu Ziming’s eyes flashed as he continued speaking.

”Elder Ziming, what is your idea?” The Chu Family Patriarch, Chu Hongnan, looked at Chu Ziming.

”My idea is to bring Jing Yan to the family headquarters. If he wants to join the Chu Family and become one of us, he must abide by the family rules. If he does not wish to join the Chu Family, then let him leave the Quicksand Divine Domain.” Chu Ziming snorted lightly.

”Also, even if he truly wants to join the Chu Family, he must be thoroughly examined. After all, he is the son of humans from the Heavenly Origin Continent.” Chu Ziming added another sentence.

Chu Hongnan frowned.

At this moment, he felt a fluctuation from his communication crystal stone.

”Elder Ziming, please wait a moment.” Chu Hongnan said, taking out the communication crystal stone, ”It’s news from Xianlie, probably related to the duel with the Jade Book Sect.”

Chu Hongnan spoke as he checked the message, full of expectation and nervousness.
