The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 842: Chapter 842: Scheming...Su Yu

Su Yu looked at Han Jing’s bright eyes and knew what she was up to.

But, hmm, how could he possibly let her get her way?

”Jing’er, you really like Xiao Xue, don’t you?” Su Yu suddenly asked.

Han Jing was a bit baffled: ”Isn’t that obvious? Don’t you like Xiao Xue?”

Su Yu pinched her cheek: ”Of course, I like Xiao Xue. I always regret that when she was very young, I couldn’t be by her side, watching her grow. I missed too much time, and later when I wanted to be close to her, I didn’t dare get too close because I didn’t know her well enough. I feared it would backfire—not only would she not accept me, but she might even resent me. Jing’er, can you understand how I feel?”

Han Jing...

She indeed could... understand his feelings.

Su Yu’s love for Xiao Xue was beyond doubt. Since before she was born, he poured all the love a father could give into her. He even risked changing his blood with her, just for her to live safely and happily.

However, there was still a five-year gap between them. Over those five years, Xiao Xue developed her own mind, her own way of thinking. She had her own ideas, and the fatherly companionship she longed for was something Su Yu could never make up for. Her admiration for him was innate, due to blood ties, but when it came to closeness and trust, Xiao Xue’s feelings towards Su Yu might not even be as strong as with the maids who took care of her since childhood. Let alone her master, An’an, and Lan Ling.

If you seriously calculate, in Xiao Xue’s heart, Su Yu’s position was probably just about the same as Lianwu, whom she met later on. In fact, Lianwu, who was with her every day now, was perhaps even closer to her.

Su Yu was really frustrated, but this matter couldn’t be rushed.

So...

Han Jing immediately understood the meaning behind Su Yu’s words.

He was telling her that if they really followed that old man’s proposal and had a child for him to raise as the next leader of the Xia Clan, they would probably never be able to truly get close to this child.

Because once entering the Delusion Void Array, unless Su Yu by chance could completely refine the Shengxue Pearl and breakthrough to Divine Level, they couldn’t get out.

The duration of this time was unknown.

Maybe by the time they returned, the child wouldn’t even recognize them.

Just thinking about it... was incredibly frustrating.

Han Jing’s previously enthusiastic expression suddenly withered.

Su Yu knew Han Jing was smart, so he never planned to hide anything from her. He had said he would never lie to her again because he was sure he could convince her to stand on the same side with him!

So, to prevent the old man Xia Qingcheng from indirectly suggesting something to Han Jing, it was better for him to speak to Han Jing himself and convince her.

Su Yu held Han Jing’s face sincerely and said: ”So, Jing’er, we can’t be so selfish. To shirk our own responsibilities by pushing them onto the next generation, they should have the right to freely choose their future. Isn’t that how you treat Xiao Xue? We should be fair.”

Han Jing... how could she have been completely persuaded by him?

He had clearly hit her soft spot.
