Succubus World - Start with Incubus System

At the same time, in the city’s most exclusive residential district.

A white building sat among sprawling estates, bearing no signboard, no advertisements, and no stream of people coming and going. The squad of Succubus guards stationed around the perimeter alone was enough for any ordinary person to understand this was not a place they could approach freely.

Every flying car that came near was required to descend from over a hundred meters away. Passengers would have their identities checked before transferring to small electric carts driven by handmaidens. Not a single unnecessary sound passed through the main doors.

On the top floor, a room spanning over three hundred square meters was lit by pale yellow magical lamps. In the center stood a long table, with more than twenty men seated on either side.

A single glance was enough to notice something very strange.

Those nearest the door were mostly obese. Some were so fat their bodies nearly spilled over the edges of their specialized electric carts, their massive bellies pressing against the armrests, breathing heavily even while sitting still.

Yet the closer one looked toward the center, the thinner the men became. Their skin was pale white, their wrists so slender that the bones were clearly visible, and their fingernails grew progressively longer with each seat toward the middle.

One man in the sixth position had nails nearly twenty centimeters long, polished to a shine and coated in a faint layer of blue. Sitting beside him was another man with two female Succubi kneeling by his chair. One supported his hand while the other used a small brush to carefully paint each nail.

He glanced at the nails of the man across from him and sneered. ”Your nails broke again?”

The other man immediately looked annoyed. ”Don’t bring it up.”

”Don’t tell me you actually did something with your own hands?”

”My attendant was a bit slow the other day, so I had to pick up my own glass of water.”

The room went quiet for two seconds. Then several laughs rang out at once.

”Picked up your own glass?” One man turned his entire head around, his expression like he’d just heard something unbelievable. ”You actually picked it up yourself?”

The man’s face went red. ”It was only once!”

The one getting his nails painted shook his head, carefully raising his hand for the handmaiden to continue. ”I haven’t held a spoon myself in six years.”

Another immediately chimed in: ”I haven’t opened a door myself in eight years.”

His tone was brimming with pride. Several men seated nearby instantly looked over with admiration.

To them, the longer one’s nails, the greater the proof of one’s nobility. A person of true status never needed to use their hands for anything. Someone fed them, someone dressed them, and vehicles carried them everywhere. Even lifting a glass of wine to their lips required a Succubus standing at the ready.

Unbroken nails were the finest evidence that they had never once labored.

On the other side, a gaunt man frowned at the plate in front of him. ”What is this?”

The Succubus standing behind him immediately bowed low. ”My lord, this is meat raised at the southern farm.”

”A farm?” His expression instantly soured. ”You’re trying to feed me something raised inside the safe zone?”

The female Succubus went pale. ”Forgive me, my lord.”

”Take it away. I only eat natural food sourced from outside.”

He waved his hand dismissively. The excessive length of his nails made the gesture look rather clumsy, but no one in the room found it funny.

The man beside him chuckled. ”Still fond of Frost Deer meat?”

”Mm.”

”My household’s team just found a herd last week.”

The gaunt man immediately perked up. ”Really?”

”The location was deep in. Lost six Succubi to bring back three.” The other man even laughed as he said it. ”But the flavor was excellent.”

Several people around them looked over at once.

”Only six?”

”Fewer than last time.”

”That’s acceptable, then.”

The team of handmaidens standing around the table kept their heads bowed. None of them spoke. A young female Succubus pouring wine tightened her grip on the bottle. Her fingertips went white, but she quickly loosened her hand and bowed even lower.

Six lives traded for three beasts and a comment about flavor.

To the men seated around this table, it seemed no different from losing a few goods during transport.

Just as the laughter was growing louder, a calm voice rang out from the center of the table.

”Enough.”

The room fell silent instantly. Every head turned at once.

Seated at the head was a white-haired man. He appeared to be in his early thirties, but his skin was so pale it was nearly bloodless. His frame was extremely thin, his cheeks slightly sunken, and his cold grey eyes surveyed the entire room.

His nails were longer than anyone else’s here, drooping down on either side of his chair like strands of ivory-white hair. Two female Succubi standing behind him had to use small velvet-lined supports to hold his hands, keeping the nails from touching the table surface.

That single sentence had silenced more than twenty men.

The white-haired man looked at the attendant to his right. ”Turn it on.”

”Yes, my lord.”

The large screen on the wall ahead immediately lit up. The first image that appeared was Meira’s garden.

Erik was down on one knee. Elowen stood before him, both hands covering her mouth, tears falling without end.

The entire room went dead silent.

A few seconds later, an obese man near the end of the table slammed his hand against his cart. ”What the hell is this?!”

The person next to him erupted in fury. ”He’s kneeling before a Succubus?”

”Lunatic!”

Another man stared at the scene of Erik holding the ring, his face rapidly reddening with rage. ”What kind of circus is this? He’s humiliating every man alive!”

On the screen, Erik’s voice rang out clearly.

[I don’t want you to stay by my side just because the Contract bound us together.]

One man immediately scoffed. ”The Contract exists precisely to keep those Succubi in line.”

[And I don’t need you to treat taking care of me as an obligation.]

”Of course it’s their obligation!”

[The person I want by my side is Elowen. Not some perfect Succubus. Just you.]

The room erupted into even more noise.

”Turn it off!”

”Disgusting!”

”A man actually said that kind of thing to a Succubus?”

Someone seated closer to the middle spoke coldly: ”They’re nothing but tools for men to cultivate and reproduce with. Does he actually see them as his equals?”

The young Succubus pouring wine kept her head bowed. Only her eyelashes trembled when she heard those words.

One man didn’t fly into a rage right away. He frowned at the screen, his expression growing increasingly grave.

”The problem isn’t that he’s fond of that Succubus.”

Those nearby turned to him. He pointed a gold-capped nail toward Erik.

”Don’t you understand? Today he kneels. Tomorrow, every Succubus who sees this will start wondering why their Partner doesn’t do the same.”

The room slowly went quiet.

The man continued, his voice dropping lower. ”Today he thanks a Succubus. Tomorrow they’ll ask why we’ve never thanked them. Today he says taking care of a man isn’t an obligation. After tonight, those women might start thinking that what they do really isn’t something to be taken for granted.”

The expressions on many faces shifted immediately.

The outrage at being insulted was still there, but beneath it, something else had appeared.

Unease.

One man said coldly: ”What can one idiot accomplish?”

The man who had been analyzing shook his head. ”He’s being broadcast live. The entire city is watching.”

His gaze swept over the bowing handmaidens around the room. That single look alone made every one of them lower themselves further.

”Not just the city. The recording has already been shared beyond the safe zone. By tomorrow morning, the number of Succubi who’ve seen it will be even greater.”

The atmosphere in the room changed completely. A question had already surfaced in everyone’s minds, but no one wanted to say it aloud.

What if Succubi started making comparisons?

What if they started wanting to be respected the way Elowen was?

What if one day, they no longer considered it natural to trade wealth, strength, and even their lives for a man’s nod of approval?

Someone immediately spoke up: ”Force him to issue a public apology.”

”Exactly. Make him say it was just a performance.”

”At the very least, he needs to explain to those Succubi that a real man would never do something like this.”

”We can also demand the media channels take down the recording.”

”It’s too late.” The man seated near the middle cut in coldly. ”You take down one copy, they’ll share ten more. If you come down too hard, those women will only become more convinced that we’re afraid.”

That remark sent the discussion spiraling into chaos.

The white-haired man hadn’t spoken a single word from start to finish. He simply watched the screen, his gaze resting on the ring Erik was sliding onto Elowen’s finger.

Only when Elowen threw herself into Erik’s arms did he lightly raise one finger.

The handmaiden immediately cut the feed. The screen went black, and the room fell silent with it.

A man seated near the center asked: ”How do you intend to handle this, my lord?”

The white-haired man leaned back slightly in his chair. The two female Succubi behind him immediately adjusted the supports beneath his hands.

”Summon him.”

”Here?”

”Yes.”

Another man laughed coldly. ”And if he refuses?”

The white-haired man slowly raised his eyes. In the pale yellow light of the room, those grey eyes held not a trace of emotion.

”Then it’s even simpler.”

He tilted his head slightly, looking at the men awaiting his decision.

”Men are already few in number. Each one is a precious asset of humanity.”

Several men nodded immediately.

The white-haired man’s voice remained very soft. ”But a man who causes all men to lose their dignity, who plants unnecessary thoughts in the minds of Succubi...”

He paused for a beat.

”Doesn’t need to exist.”

No one in the room objected.

The young Succubus gripped the wine bottle tightly once more. This time, she couldn’t let go right away.

The white-haired man looked toward the handmaiden in charge of communications.

”Send the letter tonight.”
