SSS-Ranked Surgeon In Another World: The Healer Is Actually OP!

“Come on,” he said, almost encouragingly. “Don’t freeze now. The fun just started.”

Maybe it was because of his encouraging words, that somehow sounded sadistic. Panic shattered their paralysis.

In an instant, the place erupted once more with wild, desperate retaliation.

Ice shards screamed through the air, lightning chains snapped and crackled against the nearby trees as they moved to Bruce, flames roared into pillars of fire, and wind blades spun outward like invisible saws.

Earth spikes surged from the ground, barriers flared into existence, buffs ignited across trembling bodies.

The entire place transformed into a vortex of chaotic mana, sound, and light: the skills of awakened of different class. They used every card they had to bring down the monster in front of them.

But Bruce drifted through the chaos like a shadow that did not belong to this world.

He stepped aside and a flame wave brushed past him, searing the air. He inclined his head as a lightning chain nearly kissed his cheek before snapping past harmlessly. An earth spike erupted beneath him, but he sensed it and shifted his weight with effortless grace, letting it shatter on empty ground. Every movement was precise, minimal, almost lazy, yet impossibly fluid, as though he had all the time in the world to avoid attacks meant to kill him.

Dominic watched through clenched teeth, chest heaving, unable to believe what he was seeing. “He is dodging everything. It is like he is reading us before we even move.”

One of the casters behind him trembled. “He can. His senses… he improved them somehow. It is as if he is seeing everything.”

“Hehe.” Bruce gave a soft chuckle, eyes glinting with predatory light. With a flick of his wrist, his dagger shimmered briefly, and then his palm opened, hitting three close-range casters who had rushed at him squarely in the chest in quick succession.

’Mana Lock.’

Three casters gasped at once. Their bodies stiffened, limbs freezing mid-cast. Their eyes widened with sheer, unfiltered terror as the mana in their channels shut down like someone had slammed every internal door at once.

Before they could fall into absolute despair, Bruce ended them quietly.

“Holy Rupture.”

The words fell gently from his lips.

Light burst outward, blinding, concentrated, impossibly dense. It was not just luminosity; it was destruction shaped like radiance. Their chests glowed white for the briefest instant and then exploded inward.

The blast folded their bodies like paper. Three corpses dropped in silence, steam rising from the holes where their hearts used to be.

A strangled feminine cry came from behind Bruce as the healer sprinted forward, sliding to her knees beside two fallen recruits. Her hands glowed desperately, frantically attempting to mend what remained of their shredded organs.

“No… no no no… why? Why can’t I heal this? Why is it not working?”

Bruce’s voice drifted from behind her, soft, almost sympathetic.

“Oh. Because it is impossible.”

The healer’s breath hitched sharply. She did not even have time to look back before Bruce’s dagger slipped cleanly through her heart. Her glowing hands dimmed instantly as her body sagged forward.

He sighed as he gazed at her corpse. ’This would have been me had I not created attack skills myself. The path of the system is not always the best. Being only able to heal and adapt from everything is not enough.’

The remaining recruits thought he was distracted and did not miss the chance. All around him, explosions shook the area. Fire clashed against him.

Lightning struck his back. All sorts of attacks hit Bruce. This time, Bruce did not bother to dodge.

BOOM!

A small explosion formed from the combined force of different skills. The explosion swallowed Bruce whole, a small mushroom cloud rising from the place.

The recruits moved back a bit, but then, their eyes widened as they made out a figure calmly walking out of the explosion.

“Impossible…”

Illusions flickered and died. Everyone was in a state of shock and helplessness.

Then Bruce moved again.

Spells detonated against rock and air as the recruits panicked, trying to overwhelm the monster in human form.

But Bruce wove through every blast, every attack, every desperate attempt with the calm rhythm of someone working through a familiar routine. His footsteps were light, precise.

His breathing never wavered. His smile never faded. He moved like death walking through a battlefield that had already been decided.

Minutes stretched into a nightmare.

When the dust began to settle, only thirteen recruits remained, wounded, trembling, breath ragged.

Their eyes were wide, unfocused, filled with a horror that refused to loosen its grip.

Bruce walked among them as though strolling through a garden, his coat swaying softly, his dagger still clean.

His gaze fell on Dominic, who had been guiding everyone this entire time.

“You are the leader, right?” he asked conversationally, as if they were discussing something mundane.

Dominic forced himself to raise his blade, though his fingers trembled. “Yes, I am Dominic Saviour…”

“Good,” Bruce interrupted gently, lifting his hand.

Dominic did not even have time to understand what that meant.

’Vitality Collapse.’

The effect hit him instantly.

Dominic’s entire body seized. His veins darkened violently, swelling beneath his skin like black ropes. His eyes bulged, blood rushing to the surface as his life force ignited from the inside out. Heat radiated off him in a sickening way, his flesh turning bright red as if lit by internal fire.

“NO…!” he screamed, though the sound tore apart halfway through.

The remaining survivors understood immediately.

“Run!”

“Get away from him!”

“H-he is turning him into a bomb!”

They scattered just as Dominic exploded…

BOOOOM!

His body ruptured in a massive red shockwave. The force tore off the trees to splinters of ash and wood and also consumed two fleeing recruits instantly, their screams cut short as they vanished into crimson light.

When the haze finally cleared, only a handful of survivors remained.

Shaking. Silent. Pale with dread.

Bruce stepped through the thinning smoke, exhaling softly as if warming up for the real work.

“Well,” he murmured, voice almost gentle. “Should we continue?”

A gulp resounded through the area as beads of sweat trickled down their brows. Their hearts clenched in despair. They were now experiencing Ozai, Claire, and the others’ despair firsthand.

Despite their numbers, this was simply a one-man slaughter. It was just one man, but from what they had witnessed so far, their hopes were completely dashed!
