Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 313: Chapter 313: Going to Work with Mother-in-law and Elder Sister

Cheng Su had a meeting with several salespeople because there was some family matter, so she asked Wang Gang and Zhu Lifen to temporarily look after the factory.

”Follow the orders for these two days, and when the new strawberries arrive in a couple of days, make sure to carefully check the list. If anything comes up, call Joy Soon Loy Restaurant. You all know the phone number, right?” Cheng Su instructed.

Wang Gang and the others indicated they understood.

”President Ning went back to Beijing to deal with the order for Beijing, and if this time our Joy Soon Loy’s jam can make it onto the menu for the foreign guests, it will be a qualitative leap for our Joy Soon Loy. I hope everyone continues to work hard!” Cheng Su said.

Everyone responded in agreement.

”Then I’m counting on you all. You must notify me urgently if anything happens,” Cheng Su said again.

”President Cheng, rest assured, we will definitely do a good job!”

Cheng Su then relaxed a bit, thinking this was not a solution. She needed to establish a management team quickly. As it is now, although there were two presidents, one was away on business. Even when present, dealing with a family matter could completely tie up one’s hands and feet, severely limiting personal actions!

The operation of a company surely cannot run smoothly depending solely on one person.

Cheng Su added, ”If someone comes for an interview, just take down their contact information, and I’ll personally conduct the interview later.”

After arranging everything, Cheng Su went out to find her mother-in-law and elder sister, apologizing, ”Are you feeling bored? The company has just been established, and my partner is not here. There’s a lot to do, so it took a while to arrange things.”

Qi Fenglian said, ”We’re just getting in your way. Why don’t you tell us how to take the bus, and we’ll head back first?”

She hadn’t expected Cheng Su to be truly so busy, as she had been gone for two hours.

”It’s fine, everything is arranged. Let’s head back to the city. I said I’d take you to the mall to buy some clothes!” Cheng Su said with a smile.

Qi Fenglian felt a bit apprehensive.

Walking out of the factory, Qi Fenglian and Mother Qi heard many people respectfully calling Cheng Su ”President Cheng,” and both were extremely impressed. Looking at the woman walking ahead, smiling gently and nodding with confidence, how could this be the same young girl who used to be jealous and troublesome?

The two exchanged a glance, amazed at how much a person could change.

By the time they got back to the city, it was already noon, and Cheng Su took the two to the restaurant for lunch.

A little after twelve o’clock, when the restaurant was at its busiest, everyone was continuously on the move. Cheng Su had no choice but to seat Qi Fenglian and her mother, pour them tea, serve them a meal to eat, and then she herself got involved in the hustle and bustle as well.

Taking payments, greeting regular customers with a bright smile, and swiftly clearing tables, Cheng Su worked both comfortably and busily. Qi Fenglian watched, feeling increasingly shocked in her heart.

Qi Fenglian had heard that Cheng Su had opened a restaurant that seemed to be making good money. Now seeing it in person, she realized that while it was profitable, it certainly wasn’t easy. Look at this—no time to stop, the workers couldn’t even spare a moment to drink water!

”Mom, Taiguo is really amazing. She opened a restaurant and manages that factory. I never knew she had such capabilities before!” Qi Fenglian said softly.

Mother Qi was not blind and replied, ”That’s why I told you to come over. Look how good the business of this restaurant is. She’s so trusting, having that girl take the money. That’s the sister of that Qiulan upstairs, right?”

”Yeah, I think her name is Qiumei!”

”You should ask her earnestly later, offer to help her out. You get along better with her; she will definitely agree. Elder Sister, you already have a child. You should plan not just for yourself, but for your child as well,” Mother Qi reiterated the old advice, and this time, Qi Fenglian didn’t contradict her mother.
