Forty Millenniums of Cultivation

Therefore, the experts from the nine worlds of the Star Glory Federation did not gather in the capital city, the Heaven’s Origin Sector, which was the most important industrial world far away from the capital city.

Even Ding Lingdang, the Speaker of Parliament, had come to this place in the name of ‘inspecting the troops’.

Of course, the fleet that was being refined, modified, and upgraded in the orbital docks of the Heaven’s Ring Sector and the other space rings deserved a thorough inspection.

It was the third deep-space fleet that boasted super long-range space jumps after the Burning Prairie Fleet and the Great White Fleet.

The core of the warship was Nuwa’s warship, which had been excavated from the depths of the icy plain of the Ancient Sacred World.

The warship, as well as the Pangu Underground Palace buried deep below the warship, stored countless secret treasures and secrets that corresponded to the technology of the Kunlun Mystic Realm that the federation had been studying for a hundred years. The technology reserves and cutting-edge

exploration abilities of the federation had advanced by leaps and bounds.

The federation had employed a lot of Kunlun technology to repair and modify Nuwa’s warship. They had even dismantled a lot of magical equipment units from the Kunlun Mysterious Realm and installed them on the warship. Finally, the warship regained the ability to cruise in the sea of stars in the

shortest amount of time. By conservative estimation, 30% of its previous combat ability had been restored.

30% of the combat ability of the primeval era was a shocking figure, too. It was much higher than Prairie Fire, the previous flagship of the federal army.

Therefore, after the Nuwa warship was named ‘Kunlun’, it did not join the Burning Prairie Fleet directly but became the core of the new fleet.

According to the tradition of the federal army, the flagship was named ‘Kunlun’. Naturally, the entire fleet was named ‘Kunlun Fleet’.

It was a fleet with a strong smell of experiment and exploration. It was also a new fleet that boasted a lot of technologies. The primeval technology from the Ancient Sacred World and the Kunlun Mystic Realm, the imperial technology from the remnants of the Black Wind Fleet, and the original

technology of the federation and the biochemical technology of the Blood Demon Sector had all been consolidated in the new fleet, making it look completely different from the Burning Prairie Fleet, the Black Wind Fleet, and any other fleet of the federation, the imperium, and the Sanctuary Alliance. It

was a super fleet that was truly oriented to the future and could leap into infinity.

‘The Burning Prairie Fleet was the core of the federal army. A slight change could affect the entire fleet. Since they had just fought a bloody battle against the Black Wind Fleet of the Star Ocean Imperium a few years ago, the officers and soldiers of the fleet still had a deep hatred for the Immortal

Cultivators. It was impossible for them to express their stance on whether or not to support the Star Ocean Imperium.

The origins of the Kunlun Fleet were complicated. The technology was advanced, the personnel were integrated, and there were not many historical baggage. Therefore, the Kunlun Fleet was the most suitable choice for an expedition to the center of the sea of stars.

But there were still many contradictions that needed to be resolved.

At the very least, the chief of staff of the federal army could represent the military. He had a different opinion when he gazed at Bai Kaixin in the depths of the sea of stars with a frown.

“The military is not against the expedition to the center of the sea of stars. Although we paid a high price in the bloody battle against the imperial army a few years ago and are still in the recovery phase, we know better than anybody that hatred is not enough to blind us.

Bai Kaixin raised his eyebrow and looked around the meeting table. He glanced at Ding Lingdang, Guo Chunfeng, Jin Xinyue, Meng Chixin, Han Baling, Di Feiwen, and so on. He paused for a moment and continued. “However, I hope that you can consider carefully whether or not it is the best time to send

your troops.

“First question. It’s been less than five years since the ‘Federation Defense War’. The federation suffered tremendous losses in the war. Countless elite troops haven’t recovered to this day. The people are not very enthusiastic about the war, either. There is a saying that goes ‘if the federation is saved, the

war will be over forever’.

“At that time, countless children of the federation will have to go to billions of lightyears away to bleed and sacrifice themselves. The public opinion and the morale of the troops, including the economic model in peacetime, will all be seriously affected.

“The federation is like a balloon that has been under the pressure of the Black Wind Fleet for the past hundred years. The balloon has been expanding, and every inch of the surface of the balloon has been tightened. But during the ‘Federation Defense War’ a few years ago, all the pressure was released, and

the balloon suddenly deflated.

“Now, we are going to ask the balloon to expand to its limits again in only a few months. We cannot do that no matter what!

“Second question. I believe that, after you’ve watched the modification, refinement, and combat drills of the main force warships of the ‘Kunlun Fleet’, you’ve seen that the newest, sharpest deep-space fleet of the federation is far from the final integration and upgrade. The infinite potential of the

technology of the imperium, the federal technology, and the primeval technology has not been fully exploited yet! If the fleet is given another ten years, no, five years, no, even three years, its combat ability will be doubled, tripled, and even more!

“The time we have is too short. The time we have to build up and get to know each other is too short. If we go into battle in such a hurry, it will be tantamount to turning the future general into a child soldier. It will be a great waste and a crime. The endless potential of the Kunlun Fleet will be sacrificed in

vain!

“Therefore, we are not against the expedition to the center of the sea of stars. But if we postpone it for another two years and let the propaganda machine of the federation be fully activated, we will be able to explain the significance of the expedition to the civilians and the soldiers at the grassroots level.

We will also be able to fully digest the technology of the Star Ocean Imperium and bring out the best combat ability of the Kunlun Fleet. At that time, if we reinforce the Star Ocean Imperium, will we be more confident and have less negative influence on the federation?

“Everybody here is an experienced soldier. Although speed is of paramount importance for a soldier, it is not unusual for a battle to last three to five years in the boundless sea of stars. Take the ‘war of the federation’ for example. Although the outcome of the war was determined within several days, it still

took almost a year for the war to come to an end, didn’t it? And this is the result of… General Di’s understanding of the situation and the ‘rebel on the battlefield’.

“The Star Glory Federation and the Star Glory Federation each boast hundreds of Sectors, countless resource planets, and star fortresses. It is perfectly normal that the strategical war will last five years or even longer.

“If so, wouldn’t it be better if we could focus our attention on the development of our army, accumulate our strength, and wait for the Holy Accord Alliance’s edge to be worn down before we suddenly attack and cut its throat?”

Chief of Staff Bai’s words were neither sincere nor unfair.

But the ruthlessness that was hidden behind the sincerity and fairness was clear to everyone present.

He could only say that he was definitely going to send his troops. With such a heated battle in the center of the sea of stars, how could the federation not send their troops to fish in troubled waters or rob someone else?

But if they were really going to send out their troops, it was not the time to do so yet. They should let the Star Ocean Imperium and the Sanctuary Alliance fight first so that they could tear each other apart and bleed to the last drop of their blood. When both sides were down to their last drop of blood, the

federal army could clean up the mess. Wouldn’t it be much better than joining the battle right now?

It couldn’t be helped. Although Bai Kaixin was a real Cultivator, he was too merciful to command an army. The competition between two countries could be as cruel as that.

After all, his every bit of ‘mercy’ might cost the precious lives of countless children of the federation.

After Bai Kaixin finished his speech, many experts had different expressions on their faces.

Most of the experts from the ‘Old Federation’ agreed with him. They valued their chips and were not willing to take risks easily.

The experts from the new worlds such as the ‘Ancient Sacred World’ were much calmer. The development of the new worlds was not as fast as that of the Core Worlds. The experts from the new worlds such as the Ancient Saints, the Heaven’s Ring, and the Crystal Sector were often slower in the federal

system, too.

They were not against a large-scale expedition that would benefit the federation and break the old structure so that they could rise up in the future.

Especially the ‘Twelve Ancient Saints’.

Led by ‘Meng Chixin’ and ‘Wu Suiyun’, the spectral Cultivators in the Divinity Transformation Stage, the twelve experts were in an awkward position in the system of the Star Glory Federation.

In terms of personal capability, the twelve of them combined were definitely one of the strongest groups in the federation, especially the two spectral Cultivators and the unreasonable ‘Sword Addict’ Yan Liren.

However, in terms of comprehensive capability, the ‘Special Administrative Region of Ancient Saints’ was still feudal. Their technology and social development were thousands of years behind other Sectors. Even the ‘Crystal Sector’, the weakest world in the desert, was far behind.

In terms of resources, there were well-preserved prehistoric starships and all kinds of ancient treasures in the Ancient Sacred World. The melee combat ability of the ancient Cultivators was much higher than that of other worlds, too. The ‘Kunlun’ below their feet had been excavated from the Ancient

Sacred World, too.

But in regard to technology, they did not have the ability to repair and utilize the primeval technology, the ancient treasures, and the giant soldier gods perfectly. Without the technical support of the federation, they could only watch the countless ancient treasures embedded deep inside the crust.

It was even possible that countless civilians would lose their homes, starve to death, and be trapped in the cycle of life and death for tens of thousands of years.

Although the federation offered preferential treatment and all kinds of support to the Ancient Saint World, the unparalleled experts such as Meng Chixin, Han Baling, and Yan Liren were not the kind of people who would beg for mercy or receive charity.

Naturally, they hoped that they and their hometown could make greater contributions to the federation and expand their voice so that they could be part of the federation.

Wasn’t a magnificent war that allowed the Star Glory Federation to truly stand at the peak of the sea of stars the perfect opportunity for them to prove themselves and for the rapid development of the Ancient Saint World?
