Entry: I Secretly Cultivate Immortality in the Martial Arts World

97: Chapter 97 Arranging the Aftermath of the Azure Wave Sect!As Youhun was thinking, a soft sound of footsteps came from outside the palace.

He opened his eyes, and a graceful figure had already stepped into the hall.

Su Wanyue.

This former Sect Master of the Azure Wave Sect, now an Elder, wore a simple-colored long dress, her appearance cold and elegant, her temperament transcendent.

She was naturally beautiful.

But Youhun had no inclination to admire her.

His mind was currently filled with thoughts of his main body preparing for Ascension, the uselessness of the Azure Wave Sect, and what he would do in the future—how could he have time to look at a beauty?

Besides, what was there to look at? It wasn’t as if he hadn’t seen her before.

”Elder Su,” Youhun nodded slightly, ”What brings you here to see me today?”

Su Wanyue paused in her steps.

Elder Su.

This form of address had been used ever since Youhun took over as Sect Master.

Su Wanyue had long since grown accustomed to it.

Come to think of it, back when she took Youhun as her Disciple, she, as his Revered Master, hadn’t really taught him much.

”Sect Master,” Su Wanyue walked closer and got straight to the point, ”There is something I would like to ask your opinion on.”

Youhun raised an eyebrow: ”What is it?”

Su Wanyue raised her hand, and a sword talisman appeared in her palm.

The sword talisman was crystal clear throughout, faintly emitting a sharp Sword Intent.

”Do you remember Senior Zhou Ziyang, the Elder of the Tianyan Dao Sect who once presided over the Azure Wave Sect?”

Youhun nodded.

”He sent a message through this sword talisman left for me, saying that the Eastern Continent is going to hold a grand Dao Discussion and is inviting various major Sects to participate.”

”He specifically asked whether the Azure Wave Sect would like to go.”

Hearing this, Youhun became thoughtful.

Zhou Ziyang personally extended an invitation?

It seemed that the other party had learned of his annihilation of the many Nascent Soul and Golden Core cultivators during that battle back then.

Now that the Eastern Continent was holding a Dao Discussion, specifically asking through Su Wanyue could be considered giving the Azure Wave Sect plenty of Face.

After all, whether a Sect was qualified to attend such a grand event depended entirely on its strength.

With him as Sect Master, the Azure Wave Sect was naturally qualified.

Deep down, Youhun was actually somewhat interested in going.

A Dao Discussion, with experts from all walks of life gathering.

Moreover, he had been cooped up in the Azure Wave Sect for these past few years and was indeed feeling a bit stifled.

However...

Upon second thought, he shook his head.

Going to such an occasion was prone to causing trouble.

After all, he had previously said he didn’t want to invite trouble.

”We won’t go,” Youhun waved his hand.

”It is better for our Azure Wave Sect to keep a low profile.”

Su Wanyue nodded, not asking any further questions.

She was merely here to deliver the message; whether to go or not was Youhun’s business.

”Then I will reply to Senior Zhou,” she turned to leave.

”Wait.”

Youhun spoke suddenly.

Su Wanyue stopped and turned to look at him.

Youhun pondered for a moment and said slowly: ”Elder Su, do you have a candidate in mind for the next Sect Master of the Azure Wave Sect?”

Su Wanyue was stunned.

Immediately, her brows furrowed slightly: ”Why does the Sect Master say this?”

Youhun had already prepared his excuse: ”I plan to go into seclusion to focus on Cultivation, and I fear I will have no energy to handle Sect affairs in the future. It is better to abdicate this position of Sect Master sooner rather than later.”

Su Wanyue fell silent.

She knew this was an excuse.

Under Youhun’s management, the Sect Master’s duties had long since ceased to be busy.

What was truly busy were the Elders.

For instance, she, an Elder dedicated to Alchemy, had to refine many furnaces of Medicinal Pills every day now to supply the Sect’s Disciples.

But since Youhun had brought it up, he naturally had his reasons.

Su Wanyue thought for a moment and said: ”If we are talking about a candidate, there is indeed one person.”

”Who?”

”Wu Changan.”

Su Wanyue said, ”He is a veteran of the Sect, having experienced the battle with the Demon Blade Sect back then and walked this path to the present day; he is loyal and devoted. His Cultivation has now reached the Early Stage of the Nascent Soul, and his prestige is sufficient.”

Youhun nodded.

Wu Changan, he had some impression of him.

An honest man, reliable in his work, who neither caused trouble nor feared it.

He was indeed suitable.

”Fine,” Youhun said, ”Then let it be him. Convene a Sect meeting directly and announce this matter.”

Su Wanyue was stunned again: ”So soon?”

Youhun glanced at her: ”Why drag out such a matter?”

Su Wanyue was speechless.

She always felt that Youhun’s decision was too sudden, but upon closer inspection, it didn’t seem to be anything inappropriate.

It was just that...

”Does the Sect Master have some other plan?” she couldn’t help but ask.

Youhun did not answer.

He merely stood up and looked at the sky outside the hall.

What plan?

Naturally, the plan to run away.

When his main body ascends to the Immortal Realm in the future, his External Incarnation will certainly have to follow.

Otherwise, why would he stay in the Spirit Realm?

The Spirit Realm didn’t have many good things, and he couldn’t refine the entire Spirit Realm into a Daoist field like his main body could.

The Spirit Realm was different from the Mortal Realm.

There were countless Mortal Realms, so refining one to take away was no big deal.

But there was only one Spirit Realm.

Once refined, it would be gone.

The Heavenly Dao wouldn’t allow it.

Therefore, he would have to leave sooner or later.

Since that was the case, it was better to let the Azure Wave Sect get used to life without him early on.

It would save the Sect from falling into chaos the moment he left.

Of course, he wouldn’t completely ignore them.

Before leaving, he would certainly leave behind some measures.

For example, adding some tricks to the Sect’s great array, hiding a few life-saving Magic Treasures, or leaving behind a few strands of protective Sword Qi.

But these things definitely couldn’t be done openly.

Otherwise, if everyone knew, they would rely on the safeguards he left behind whenever they encountered danger, which would actually make things prone to going wrong.

They had to be hidden.

Only when they were hidden could they play a role at critical moments.

Youhun withdrew his gaze and looked at Su Wanyue: ”Go and notify everyone. Early tomorrow morning, we will discuss matters in the main hall.”

Su Wanyue was silent for a moment, but in the end, she didn’t ask any more questions.
