Entry: I Secretly Cultivate Immortality in the Martial Arts World

64: Chapter 64 Three years later, let’s get started!Almost all the Elders of the Demon Blade Sect shared this sentiment.

The Sect Master of Demon Blade Sect kept his eyes half-closed.

His thoughts, however, differed from the others.

To strike now would carry too great a risk.

The Azure Wave Sect was not weak, with two old ghosts at the Late Nascent Soul Stage guarding it.

Their sect-protecting array had been maintained for thousands of years and was as solid as a golden fortress.

Even more troublesome was their backer: the Tianyan Dao Sect!

The Demon Blade Sect’s plan was essentially to swap the beams for pillars—a covert replacement.

They were not going to openly destroy the Azure Wave Sect, as that would inevitably invite the thunderous wrath of the Tianyan Dao Sect.

They intended to secretly eliminate the core leadership of the Azure Wave Sect.

In the end, the Azure Wave Sect would still be the Azure Wave Sect in name.

But beneath the surface, it would have long since taken the shape of the Demon Blade Sect.

This tactic was known as peaceful evolution, a hallmark of demonic Cultivators.

The idea was beautiful, but executing it was not easy.

If any single link went wrong—for instance, if Supreme Elder Qingxu or Supreme Elder Xuanyun managed to escape—

or if the news leaked to the ears of the Tianyan Dao Sect...

then the Demon Blade Sect would face total annihilation.

Perhaps they wouldn’t even need to come in person; they could just send a Disciple wielding a Magic Treasure to raze their sect grounds to the ground.

”Sect Leader, hesitation only leads to disaster!”

An Elder named Yin Jiuzhu, seeing the Sect Master of Demon Blade Sect silent, stepped forward and said urgently:

”Currently, there are signs that our secret enslavement of the Azure Wave Sect Disciples has been detected.”

”If we stop now, not to mention that all our previous efforts will be wasted, once those two old ghosts start investigating the clues, the pawns we’ve planted will surely be uprooted!”

”By then, if the Azure Wave Sect is enraged and joins forces with the Tianyan Dao Sect to investigate, I fear the Demon Blade Sect will be...”

He didn’t finish, but the meaning was self-evident.

They had been planning for years and were already deep in the mire.

Stop now? Wait for them to react?

Wouldn’t that be like drawing water with a bamboo basket—all for nothing?

The atmosphere in the hall was heavy.

The gazes of several Elders were focused on the Sect Master of Demon Blade Sect.

Waiting for his decision.

Ghostly flames flickered, casting light and shadow across everyone’s faces.

After a long while.

The Sect Master of Demon Blade Sect slowly opened his half-closed eyes, a fierce, blood-colored light surging within them.

”One step slow, every step slow. One wrong move, and the whole game is lost.”

”Since there is no retreat, then... a thunderous strike, to achieve success in one battle!”

The Elders perked up.

”Notify the shadow within the Azure Wave Sect. Tell him to find a way to lure Supreme Elder Qingxu and Supreme Elder Xuanyun out of the Azure Wave Sect’s mountain gates in three years, and have them head toward the vicinity of the Dragon Fall Abyss.”

”As for the reason... just say that clues to a suspected ancient Cultivator’s Immortal Cave have been discovered, and that the two Grand Elders need to go and confirm it personally.”

”Remember, make the trail convincing; it must be trusted.”

”Yes!” Yin Jiuzhu’s eyes flashed with a sharp light, and he immediately responded.

The Sect Master of Demon Blade Sect continued: ”I will personally go to the Dragon Fall Abyss and invite Grand Elder Blood Soul and Grand Elder Bone Fiend to join in the attack.”

”We will set up the Three Talents Soul-Locking Heaven-Severing Array there in advance!”

”This array is an improved version of an ancient incomplete array. Once trapped inside, heaven and earth are severed, and escape techniques are forbidden. Even if they are at the Late Nascent Soul Stage, they won’t be able to easily escape!”

”The Sect Leader is wise!” The Elders shouted in unison, their faces revealing smiles that intertwined excitement with cruelty.

After years of planning, it was finally time for the real showdown!

Tu Wanren also grinned and said: ”As long as we eliminate these two old ghosts from the Azure Wave Sect, won’t everyone else be left at our mercy?”

”By then, the Azure Wave Sect will still be the Azure Wave Sect, but the actual ruler, hehe... will be our Demon Blade Sect!”

”That Spiritual Vein, and especially the fresh, hot talent of that world... Hehehehehehe!”

Thinking about how they could openly and sustainably harvest the living beings of a world in the future—

without having to sneak around and live in fear like they did in the Spirit Realm—these old demons all felt that this risk was worth taking!

The Sect Master of Demon Blade Sect closed his eyes again and waved his hand.

The Elders understood, bowed respectfully, and just as they had arrived, silently transformed into black smoke and went off to prepare for this final strike.
