The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 589: Cute Weapon

”We didn’t find anything, and we barely got any decent food! Violet, I’m starting to doubt your abilities,” I say to Violet as we head back to the castle.

”Azraelith, don’t complain! I’m doing you a favor, and you still want to bitch about it?” Violet snaps irritably as I reach my bedroom door, frustrated despite having found something interesting for Pandora to eat.

”Haaa...” I sigh, opening the door and stepping inside, only to be struck by a sight that instantly pisses me off.

”PANDORA!” I scream at her.

”What is it, Azraelith?” Pandora replies flatly as Violet dissolves into purple particles and returns to her.

”Why are you naked in my bed?! I’ve told you before—stop being naked!! Wear clothes!” She stares at me, then drops her gaze to her own chest.

”...I don’t feel like it. Mommy put me in time-out, so for as long as I’m grounded, I’m not wearing clothes. I can’t leave the room, either. By the way, there’s a bowl of milk over there for you. It’s mine—I approve of the flavor. Really tasty,” she says, pointing toward the bed.

”...Are you fucking with me?”

”...”

”Are you seriously going to ignore me, you cow?”

”Whoa, hold on. Just because I produce milk, you decide to call me a cow? That milk is what’ll feed our children! Don’t be so cruel, okay?”

”...You little slut. And I even went and got you a present! What a joke—”

”You were using Violet. It’s only natural you’d pay me back somehow, right?” She throws that fact in my face, and the worst part is, even though I did use Violet, I didn’t get anything useful out of it. It was just a waste of time.

”...” I toss a yellow sphere at Pandora. It lands on her stomach. She grabs it, confused, as I move closer to her bed and pick up the bowl of milk.

”You’re a shameless whore...” At least I’ll drink this. The taste is pleasant. Pandora looks at me with an arrogant smirk, holding the sphere in her hands.

”A present for me? Thanks, big sis!” I toss the empty bowl to the floor.

”Satisfied?”

”Oh yes, I am. After all, I’m stuck in this room, so entertainment is good.” When she says that, I finally realize she really is grounded, so I give her a scornful smile.

”Looks like the favorite did something wrong!” I say, proud that she’s the one stuck in her room like a child.

”Uh-huh. I did something I apparently wasn’t supposed to...”

”Hahahahahaha!! Serves you right! Maybe this’ll teach you to stop being such a spoiled brat!” I mock her. Her expression tightens with irritation, and even though she pretends not to care, I know the fact that she got grounded bothers her.

”Hey, sis. What are you gonna do?”

”Huh?”

”Without me, you basically can’t train. You’ve got no one to really push you. So boredom’s gonna set in fast. And the only fun place you’ll have will be this room!”

”So?”

”Hehehehe... I’ve got five months to make you drool over me. To make you beg to have me.”

”Oh? Is that a challenge?” I say, locking eyes with her as she looks so bold.

”Challenge? Hahaha. A challenge would imply some kind of difficulty. This is just an easy appetizer.” She gets up from the bed and runs over to me lightly, then pulls me into a hug.

Suddenly, her body starts shrinking, ending up around 150 centimeters tall, more or less. Pandora looks up at me with an incredibly cute face. Her now-shorter frame has lost all that exaggerated, breathtaking sexuality she usually carries, and while she still looks sensual, it’s about ninety percent adorable.

”Big sis, I’m hungry.” When she says that, my whole body shudders, and I feel my face flush. She looks so innocent. Her voice is so sweet and naive.

”W-What the fuck!?!” I shove her with my tail, shivering with goosebumps. Pandora falls to the floor, and instead of cursing me out or saying something bold, she looks at me for about three seconds—before tears well up in her adorable little face.

”Stop it right now, Pandora!! How humiliating. Aren’t you ashamed? Pretending and acting like this is just pathetic...” She doesn’t make a sound. She just lets the tears fall and stares at me as if she’s judging my very soul for pushing her.

”Damn it. You’re a bitch.” I try to leave, but before I reach the door, she’s clinging to my thigh, looking up at me with that tear-streaked face that completely paralyzes me.

”...T-Trading seduction for cuteness isn’t going to work on me!” I put my hand on her face, trying to push her off, but she latches onto my leg, wrapping her arms and legs around it to hold on tight while her tail grips me too.

”Let go of me, you menace!!! And stop crying those fake tears—you’re not even making any sound!!” It’s obviously an act, since she’s completely silent, but it’s such a good act.

”Big sis... p-please don’t hate me.” When she says that in that tone, I feel my heart stop for a moment.

”...” I feel something warm trickling down from my lips. I touch my face and look—there’s blood between my fingers. I just got a nosebleed.

”Damn it!!!” I try to shove this cute, weepy little ball called Pandora off my leg, but my hands hesitate to use any force that might hurt her.

”What are you doing to me!!! You’re an absolute menace, you know that?!”

”Big sis has such simple, sweet feelings! They’re so easy to see!! And being cute is the way!!” She smiles at me, stopping her tears. She even explains how she’s manipulating me, using that weird ability of hers to see the colors of emotions. Violet already told me she does that.

”Prrrrruuuuuu...” Pandora makes a soft, purring sound as she rubs her smooth cheeks against my thigh, wiggling her body up and down, pressing her shrunken chest against my leg.

”...” I swallow hard, watching this display that’s as infuriating as it is adorable.

”What do you want to make you stop?”

”I’m going to win you over, big sis! Just accept it. I love you. Love, love, love you so much. Big sis acts all tough, but I know she likes cute things! I saw the drawings under your bed.”

”!!!”

”What the hell were you doing under my bed?!”

”Hehehe. Big sis is like someone from the Stone Age, drawing cave paintings under the bed,” she says, saying something I’m pretty sure is an insult.

”There’s no paper in the Abyss, you know?! And my mother didn’t give me much! All I had was the wall under the bed! You nosy little snoop!” I punch her in the head, but it lands so weakly.

”Big sis... please don’t, guuuaaahh!!” I use water magic to splash her in the face before she can fake-cry again.

”Pandora, if I didn’t know you, I’d say you have the mentality of a child. But I do know you, and I know you’re trying to manipulate me. Let go, or I swear I’ll close my eyes and blast fire magic right in your face.”

”...Hehehehe. HAHAHAHA!! Close your eyes, big sis? You can’t burn your little sister’s face while watching, can you? Big sis, if you hurt me, I’ll do something way worse than this.”

”You’re bluffing,” I say, watching her expression.

”...”

”Bluffing?” She gives me an utterly sinister smile, then lets me go. She takes a few steps to the center of the room and spreads her arms wide like she’s presenting something. Since she’s naked, I can see everything.

”...” She sits on the floor, her legs folded back and slightly apart in a W shape. She looks at me, and then her expression shifts completely. She brings her hands to her face and starts wiping away tears.

”H-hic... hic... s-sorry, big sis... p-please forgive me...” Her sobbing sounds absolutely perfect. Her eyes look so wounded. Her posture seems so fragile that before I realize it, I’m hugging her, and a tear slips down my own cheek.

Then I realize what I’ve done and shove her to the floor, jumping up toward the ceiling like a startled cat. I cling to the chandelier, staring down at Pandora, who’s smiling up at me.

”Like I said, big sis—I can do way worse. The art of being cute is a gift I can show you quite well. I learned it from my dear daughter, Azazel. I watched her hunting and copied her, then refined the technique.”

”...Don’t do that again... it was terrifying in a disgusting way.” For a moment, I felt like my brain had completely abandoned all rationality.

”It’s called maternal instinct, big sis. You’re a woman. So the sight of a fragile little girl crying and looking so vulnerable is obviously a great lure—very attractive to a woman’s instincts.”

”Besides, it’s even more effective because you already love me. Now, big sis, get down from the ceiling. Come here and hug me. I want to sleep all cuddled up with you. And no, I’m not wearing clothes. Like I said, for the next five months, I’ll be completely naked.”

”So get used to it, because I’m going to make you drool over this cute little miniature version of myself! Small breasts, but pleasant. Soft, adorable curves. A little face that could charm the world. Think you can handle five months of this mental weapon of cuteness, big sis?”

”I dare you to last. So don’t you dare back down... unless you’re scared of your little sister?” She taunts me with the tone of an arrogant little brat, even worse than Violet.

”Fine, you manipulative bitch. I won’t fall for your stupid tricks!! Five months? That’s nothing!!” I drop down from the ceiling, stopping right in front of this cute, infuriating little thing.

”Thank you, big sis...” She steps closer to me and gives my belly a little kiss. I stare at hers, at the tattoo etched there marking our bond. The partner mark I put on her. The mark she’s now shamelessly showing off to me.

’What the hell did I get myself into when I branded this goddamn psycho?’ A wave of regret crashes through my chest.
