Stronger by Paying Salaries and I Have 1 Billion Employees

In other words, holding out for just one more hour would have earned him another two million.

”President Dai...” Wang Jie asked tentatively.

”No.” Dai Zhanhong cut him off decisively.

’You lowered the price yourself, and now you want to raise it again?’

’What a joke!’

「At the same time.」

A black-and-white Rolls-Royce pulled slowly into the park, followed by an all-black Mercedes MPV.

Ye Qiuping called Dai Zhanhong to give him a heads-up.

Upon getting the news, Dai Zhanhong immediately left his office and led a group of staff members to welcome them.

After a moment’s thought, Wang Jie hurried to catch up.

’After all, this is the big boss of Senlian Capital. If I can make a good impression and get his contact information, it’ll be a great networking opportunity.’

Just as he got downstairs, he saw a young man stepping out of the Rolls-Royce.

He wore a light gray suit that accentuated his broad shoulders, narrow waist, and long legs. With his straight, imposing posture, he stood a full head taller than Wang Jie.

In person, he was less approachable and more stern than in his photos, exuding a powerful presence.

”Boss,” Dai Zhanhong greeted him.

”Old Dai, you’ve worked hard these last two days,” Chen Yansen said, patting Dai Zhanhong on the shoulder.

’Boss, you could really just call me Ah Hong, or even Hongzai.’

Dai Zhanhong cried out inwardly, but he didn’t dare to object.

Long before he joined Senlian Capital, he’d heard that Chen Yansen liked to call his subordinates ”Old” followed by their surname. Not even the former President of DST’s Great China Region had escaped the nickname ”Lao Zhou.”

”Boss, this is Wang Jie, the owner of Jiahaojia. Our preliminary negotiated price is 58 million,” Dai Zhanhong introduced.

”Hello, Boss Chen.” Wang Jie greeted him politely, leaning forward slightly.

He knew full well that Jiahaojia’s acquisition rested entirely on the decision of the man standing before him.

”Boss Wang, a pleasure to meet you,” Chen Yansen replied with a nod, shaking his hand.

Jiahaojia had been reduced to selling itself off to cover its debts for a few simple reasons. Competition in the industry had become white-hot, squeezing its profit margins. Its supply chain management was poor, and it had been blindsided by its upstream motor supplier. Its technology couldn’t keep up with consumer demand. And finally, its offline channels had failed while its online expansion was inadequate.

Furthermore, Wang Jie’s decision to develop their own motors only accelerated Jiahaojia’s demise.

”How many assembly line workers would be needed to run the production lines at full capacity?” Chen Yansen asked his first question.

The only thing President Chen cared about was the number of jobs. As long as the net profit could cover all costs, the business was a go.

”About 1,000 people, though 800 could manage the production workload,” Wang Jie replied.

”Have you already spoken with the Cloud Speed Express and Kuai Pao branches in Hai Zhou?” Chen Yansen then asked Dai Zhanhong.

Currently, Jiahaojia only had a little over two hundred employees left, waiting to receive their severance pay.

Chen Yansen didn’t just need to hire R&D and management staff; he also had to select suitable factory workers from among the family members of his Cloud Speed Couriers and Kuai Pao Deliverymen.

’Keep the spoils in-house!’

’You can trust your own people!’

”We have 473 candidates submitted so far,” Dai Zhanhong reported.

”Speed things up. Let’s go see the production floor,” Chen Yansen said.

The group then took a tour of the factory grounds.

Chen Yansen gave a slight nod. Dai Zhanhong immediately took the hint, and they finalized the deal to acquire Jiahaojia’s entire production base for 57 million.

Effective immediately, Jiahaojia would be renamed Orange Intelligent Life Co., Ltd.

The workers’ original base salary was raised from 2,200 to 3,300 yuan, with an hourly wage of 25 yuan.

The workers, who had been ready to take their severance and leave, instantly changed their minds. ’From this day forward, I’m an Orange Intelligent Life employee!’

News that Orange Technology was entering the electric fan industry quickly spread throughout the business world.

Brands like Midea, Gree, and Airmate all felt threatened, crying out in alarm, ”The shit-stirrer is here!”

After all, Orange Technology had just torn through the smartphone industry. And while it had propped up a few internet phone brands like Xiaomi, 360, and NetEase, the number of manufacturers it had driven out of business was too high to count.

They were afraid Orange Technology was about to pull off a hat trick in the electric fan industry.
