Stronger by Paying Salaries and I Have 1 Billion Employees

Chapter 162: Chapter 150: DST: We’ll Give You 36 Billion! Brother Sen, We Just Want to Follow You

”Brother Sen, I want to come with you,” Zhuang Rui said solemnly.

”I’m not into men,” Chen Yansen replied instantly.

”...” Zhuang Rui was stunned for a moment, then quickly realized and hurriedly explained, ”I mean I want to work for you. As long as I can work on the product, I’m happy.”

”You’d turn down a job with a million-yuan annual salary? What kind of future is there with me?”

Chen Yansen shook his head. He thought Zhuang Rui must be out of his mind.

’If it were me, I would have packed my bags and headed for Hang City to start a new life without a second thought.’

”I just feel that the only real future is with you, Brother Sen.” The usually eloquent Zhuang Rui was now stammering like a wide-eyed college freshman.

”And your parents are okay with this?” Chen Yansen confirmed once more.

”Yep. They told me to make my own decision,” Zhuang Rui replied with a grin.

”The new project isn’t ready yet. Take a few days off. After the National Day holiday, report to Building 6 at the Zhuxianzhuang Science and Technology Park.”

Chen Yansen looked at Zhuang Rui, saw his resolute attitude, and decided not to refuse him any longer, revealing a little information.

’A new project?’

’Building 6?’

A flash of delight crossed Zhuang Rui’s eyes. ’I knew I made the right bet!’

He chuckled and pressed, ”Brother Sen, is the new project still in the e-commerce sector?”

”Sharp! Don’t be impatient. We’ll talk about the initial development requirements after the holiday.”

Chen Yansen clapped Zhuang Rui on the shoulder and said with a smile.

”Okay, Brother Sen! Honestly, I was so afraid you wouldn’t take me!” Zhuang Rui couldn’t hold it in and started blubbering.

”Alright, cut the drama! Get back home and sleep. Even if you don’t want to sleep, the teachers living around here do.”

Chen Yansen shot him a look, waved his hand dismissively, and motioned for him to get lost.

”You got it, I’m outta here!” Zhuang Rui scampered out of the faculty apartment building.

Chen Yansen closed the door, sat back down on the sofa, and had just turned to the last page of *The Character of Physical Law* when he heard footsteps stopping at his door again.

Chen Yansen sighed and pulled the door open.

Hu Yun had assumed Chen Yansen was still asleep, so he was startled when the door suddenly flew open.

”Brother Sen... I, I...” Hu Yun stammered.

”October 8th, report to Building 6 at the Zhuxianzhuang Science and Technology Park. Anything else?”

Chen Yansen cut him off and gave him the instructions directly.

”Brother Sen, you mean there’s another new project?”

Hearing this, Hu Yun’s awkwardness vanished, replaced by a look of pleasant surprise as he pressed for more.

”That’s right. And tell Zhuang Rui his October salary will be calculated starting from the 1st,” Chen Yansen confirmed with a nod.

’Zhuang Rui came too? That son of a bitch, why didn’t he call me?’

Hu Yun grumbled to himself, planning to go give Zhuang Rui a piece of his mind.

It didn’t occur to him at that moment that he hadn’t called Zhuang Rui either. When they met, it was anyone’s guess who would be giving whom a piece of their mind.

After Hu Yun left, Chen Yansen just left the door open.

’These guys... They don’t come last night, but they all decide to show up first thing in the morning. Good thing I don’t need much sleep, so they aren’t really bothering me.’

The next hour was much quieter. Just as Chen Yansen thought no one else was coming, Chen Xu and Hu Li arrived together.

”Brother Sen!” The two stood in the living room, looking like they were begging to be taken in.

”I can’t offer you a salary of thirty thousand a month. Are you sure you want to follow me to the new project?”

Chen Yansen asked with a smile, looking at the two of them.

”Brother Sen, I know my own limits. Without the FoxTao platform, I couldn’t even make ten thousand a month. Even if you offered me thirty thousand, I wouldn’t feel like I’d earned it.”

Chen Xu said with a cheerful laugh, his tone relaxed and carefree.

He knew his own business; he wouldn’t mistake the platform’s success for his own ability.

When he first joined FoxTao, he couldn’t even figure out product selection, let alone branding. It was Song Yuncheng and Chen Yansen who had personally guided him, step by step.

”Brother Sen, please take us in!” Hu Li quickly chimed in.

”Alright. Report to Building 6 at the Science and Technology Park on October 8th,” Chen Yansen said directly.

Still, Chen Xu was being modest.

After all, he had worked as a category operations manager at FoxTao for a year. If he applied for a job at Mogujie or Meili Shuo, he could get a base salary of at least 20,000.

’Building 6?’

’Isn’t Orange Technology in Building 8?’

”Brother Sen, is there a new project?” Chen Xu reacted quickly and asked with a smile.

’Isn’t it obvious!’

Orange Technology was in Building 8, with just over 3,000 square meters of office space.

He had seen the adjacent Building 6 the last time he was at the Science and Technology Park. Its single-floor area was twice that of Building 8.

It had 11 floors in total, with at least 10,000 square meters of office space.

That was almost four times the size of Orange Technology. ’This is clearly a huge project!’

”Get ready for overtime! You still remember what it was like when FoxTao first launched, right?”

Chen Yansen said jokingly.

These hot-headed youths in their twenties were showing him a different side of human nature.

Perhaps there was an element of gambling in their decision, but giving up a million-yuan annual salary from Ah Li’s P7 grade was no fabrication.

For the first time, Chen Yansen began to re-evaluate his relationship with his employees.

”No problem! I love overtime!” Chen Xu replied hastily.

”Get some good rest during the National Day holiday. After that, we start fresh,” Chen Yansen said.

Chen Xu and Hu Li agreed, then left the faculty apartment building with happy faces.

Afterward, Zhang Yifeng, Li Hui, Yuan Wei, Zhang Wenbo, and Xiang Pengfei came to Room 0418 one after another.

Seeing their determined attitudes, Chen Yansen didn’t try to persuade them otherwise and just told them to report to the Science and Technology Park after the holiday.

Out of more than 160 people at FoxTao, only a dozen or so were ultimately willing to follow him.

Xu Dan from HR, Li Bin from price comparison editing, Zhang Yi from testing, Tang Qin from design, and Hu Yongfan from the Investment Attraction team—though he had personally hired them—all decided to stay at FoxTao and join Ah Li.

Du Yaoyao from the editing team, after much deliberation, ultimately chose Ah Li.

When Tang Qingshan found out, he thought it was a shame that FoxTao was moving out of the Innovation Park, but there was nothing he could do.

For those leaving and those staying at FoxTao, every day of the last week of September was colorful.

After receiving his stock options, Zhuang Rui immediately bought a BMW 3 Series. Among the FoxTao members, he was by far the boldest spender.

Most of the others bought a commuter car worth a hundred-odd thousand yuan or just got themselves a new phone.

The customer service staff’s severance pay, after taxes, came out to a little over fifty thousand yuan. They were all busy buying new phones and Air Jordans.

When the news got out, it made the college freshmen incredibly envious.

They had wanted to join FoxTao, but after October, the project was moving to Hang City.

The difficulty of the interviews skyrocketed several times over!

After the funds from Lotte and Augusta arrived, Chen Yansen didn’t immediately have Cao Dahua expand the factory’s capacity and scale.

Instead, he pulled Gao Weilin aside to study Orange Technology’s valuation model.

Digital Sky Technology had offered a valuation of 36 billion!

They used a price-to-sales ratio valuation model, based on Orange Technology’s 30-day shipment volume of 500,000 units and sales revenue of 1 billion yuan, extrapolating an annual sales revenue of 12 billion yuan.

This valuation was calculated using the mobile phone industry’s average price-to-sales ratio of 2 to 4.

But Chen Yansen wasn’t satisfied!

Because even using the price-to-earnings ratio method based on Orange Technology’s projected annual net profit—and without even considering the rapid growth of Orange Mobile Phone—the valuation was already approaching 40 billion.

When Zhou Shouzhi learned that Chen Yansen didn’t agree, he reported the matter to his boss at DST Capital, Yuri.
