Stronger by Paying Salaries and I Have 1 Billion Employees

Chapter 73: Chapter 71: 20 Million on the First Day, FoxTao 2.0 Plan

”President Chen, we hit 3.6 million in sales in just one hour. That’s already shattered our store’s monthly record. What do you think the final sales figure will be for today?”

Min Jie stood by the window, phone in hand, and gazed at the skyscrapers in the distance. A fierce competitive drive surged within him.

”We’ll definitely hit 10 million. If we can push it to 20 million, it’ll be a win for both of us.”

Chen Yansen replied nonchalantly, leaning back in his chair.

”That’s right. We have to break 20 million!” Min Jie muttered to himself.

He had convinced the management to give FoxTao a 70% commission for the entire store, but he’d staked his career on it. If he couldn’t deliver results, his Banggou would have a hard time securing premium resources from the group in the future.

The big boss would be disappointed in him, too!

”President Chen, I’ll add another 1,000 units of stock for each of those three blockbuster items from this morning. You have to help me hit that 20 million sales figure.”

Min Jie said decisively after a moment of contemplation.

The three items were worth a total of 537,000 yuan. The fact that Min Jie added more promotional stock without hesitation spoke volumes about his decisiveness.

”Deal. We’ll run another flash sale for the blockbuster items at 12:00.” Chen Yansen agreed without hesitation.

”Zhuang Rui, issue Queue-Jump Codes to the users who placed orders this morning. One code lets them join the sale one minute early. Change the actual start time to 11:50.”

After hanging up with Min Jie, Chen Yansen turned and gave the instructions to Zhuang Rui.

The Queue-Jump Code was part of the user benefits system. Its development had been on the schedule since October and it went live after the ”Slash to Zero” feature. It simply hadn’t been used yet because FoxTao hadn’t run any limited-quantity flash sales.

Zhuang Rui had divided users into five tiers based on their total order value:

F1 (Order value 0-1,000; 1 free Queue-Jump Code per month);

F2 (Order value 1,001-10,000; 3 free Queue-Jump Codes per month);

F3 (Order value 10,001-100,000; 5 free Queue-Jump Codes per month);

F4 (Order value 100,001-300,000; 10 free Queue-Jump Codes per month);

F Diamond (Order value over 300,000; 30 free Queue-Jump Codes per month).

During events like the Brand Cluster promotion, purchasing even a single regular item would also grant one Queue-Jump Code.

”Brother Sen, are we just going to drop the Queue-Jump Codes directly into their accounts? An approach like that could easily lead to a ton of users canceling their orders,” Zhuang Rui said, frowning as he listened to Chen Yansen’s instructions.

Users would definitely place and cancel orders over and over just to get the Queue-Jump Codes!

”You think I didn’t consider that? That’s precisely my goal!” Chen Yansen let out a sly laugh, giving Zhuang Rui an inscrutable look.

’I need to give the users the thrill of discovering a ”bug,” of feeling like they’ve gamed the system. He and Min Jie both need impressive sales numbers.’

Getting users to help them inflate the sales numbers was, naturally, a part of his plan.

”Brother Sen, I understand. In the instructions for this batch of Queue-Jump Codes, I’ll add a disclaimer that if a user cancels their regular item order within 24 hours, the platform reserves the right to cancel their order for the blockbuster item as well.”

Zhuang Rui was quick-witted. With Chen Yansen’s hint, he immediately grasped the key to the plan. He nodded in understanding and hurried back to his workstation to get started.

Before long, as soon as the Queue-Jump Code feature went live, the order volume for regular items shot up like a runaway horse.

In just fifty minutes, regular orders surged to a shocking sixty thousand!

Total sales shot up by more than 6 million!

Min Jie was stunned and immediately called. Chen Yansen didn’t hide anything, explaining the situation candidly, ”Of these forty-thousand-plus new orders, probably half will be canceled for a refund.”

”I can accept losing half! The most important thing is delivering results and making a name for ourselves.” Min Jie paused for a good ten seconds before replying with a hearty laugh.

He couldn’t help but feel a growing admiration for Chen Yansen. Before FoxTao came along, brand owners like them had viewed shopping-guide e-commerce sites as nothing more than garbage.

But now, his opinion had completely changed.

The importance of Chen Yansen and FoxTao had skyrocketed in an instant.

”After this event, the items in your store will have a baseline monthly sales volume of at least 1,000. Then if you run another promotion on Juhuasuan, you’ll see at least another million in sales. President Min, seize the opportunity.”

Chen Yansen offered Min Jie a new strategy with a faint smile.

FoxTao’s Brand Cluster was similar to Taobao’s Juhuasuan. They had comparable models, except Juhuasuan was still in its trial phase, whereas Chen Yansen had rolled out a fully developed version from the start.

”Thank you for the advice, President Chen. It’s settled, then. Once things calm down in a few days, you must come to Hu City and let me host you properly.” Min Jie felt a rush of warmth, his tone exceptionally earnest.

”Sounds good! We’ll talk more later. Call me if anything comes up,” Chen Yansen said with a smile before hanging up.

This final battle of November held immense significance for both him and FoxTao.

The team of over forty people had been busy from morning till late at night. Only when the autumn wind began to howl outside did Chen Yansen finally snap out of his focus and survey the scene around him.

The ten members of the customer service team were a blur of motion, their keyboards CLACKING furiously as they responded to an endless stream of user inquiries.

The development team didn’t have much to do, but they stayed late to keep everyone company, claiming they were all brothers in the same trench and had to fight side-by-side.

The operations team had the least to do. They were all crowded around the data team, staring at the real-time sales figures jumping on the screen.

”The dorms are about to lock up. Not heading back? Or are you planning to sleep on my couch again?” Chen Yansen glanced around and, seeing that no one was paying attention, leaned in to whisper in Song Yuncheng’s ear.

”I’m leaving right now! I sent the latest UI design draft for the Brand Cluster to your email.”

Song Yuncheng didn’t dare to respond, not even daring to look Chen Yansen in the eye. Clutching her laptop, she scurried away in a fluster.
