Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 1191: Dragon Rider

Kingdom. The New World Restaurant.

Once in one of her favorite places, Hailey started drooling, and her stomach wouldn’t stop rumbling.

She had never felt such intense hunger before. Moreover, the aromas of various exquisite dishes were driving her crazy.

With difficulty, she found an empty spot from where she could see Sofia and the other chefs. Removing her annoying “older” brother from her head, she sat him down next to her.

“Food, food, little sister!” she heard the baby dragon’s hungry voice. “I’m hungry too.”

Hailey looked at him irritably, and in response, the dragon tilted its head to one side and stuck out its tongue.

The other customers only heard his sweet growl, but Hailey, having become a full-fledged dragon, could clearly hear his words.

When Hailey turned back towards the kitchen, her gaze met with two pairs of curious eyes that were staring at her intently.

“Hailey?” Ashley asked, tilting her head to the side.

Emily was standing next to her, blinking in surprise.

Hailey looked more closely, and an image of little succubus girls popped into her mind. She recognized them and smiled.

“Yes, it’s me,” she nodded.

“Oh!” the girls exclaimed joyfully and jumped up and down, attracting attention.

Sofia, Valeria and Edgar, attracted by the noise of the girls, also came up to Hailey and stared in surprise at her new appearance.

Noticing familiar faces, Hailey began to gradually recall them, awakening some of her memories.

“Have you turned into a dragon?” Everyone was surprised in one voice.

[Hailey]

Hearing Hailey’s stomach growl again, everyone laughed and immediately started cooking. Soon, the first course was in front of Hailey.

But before Hailey could touch it, a small paw appeared from the side and stole the entire dish.

The temperature rose sharply, and Hailey, ready to explode, turned around and, seeing the joyful and sweet face of the baby dragon, who was enjoying the meal, immediately relaxed.

No matter how arrogant and annoying this baby dragon was, Hailey felt a kinship with him and on the level of instincts she could not get angry and raise her hand at him. Instead, she was overwhelmed with a sense of wanting to protect him.

Out of frustration, she clenched her hands so tightly that she broke the fork and knife she was holding in her hands while preparing for the meal.

She had to wait a little longer before a new dish was placed in front of her, and she finally began to eat.

“Mmm… how delicious!” exclaimed Hailey, unable to contain her emotions.

Once she tasted it, she was unstoppable.

She devoured one dish after another greedily, as if she had a bottomless stomach. From time to time, her “older” brother stole her food.

When the hunger finally subsided, Hailey patted her stomach without embarrassment, which, by the way, had not increased at all. Unlike the baby dragon, who could barely move, sprawled on the table with a rounded belly.

“That’s a glutton,” she laughed, but her laughter suddenly stopped when a series of system notifications appeared in front of her eyes.

[Ding! Host, Congratulations on Ascension]

[Ding! The Lava Dragon bloodline has been obtained]

[Ding! The transformation into the Lava Dragon was successful]

[Ding! Rank upgraded to Platinum]

[Ding! The System level has increased to 31]

…

[Ding! The Soul Space has evolved into a Dragon’s Lair]

Along with the system notifications, waves of memories flooded Hailey’s mind.

She grabbed her head and hit it on the table, breaking it.

From the sharp pain, she clutched her head and hit it on the table, breaking it, and fell to the floor.

Her actions caused a strong reaction in the audience.

All the customers stopped eating and watched in horror as Hailey writhed in pain on the floor.

The pain didn’t last long.

Soon, Hailey, staring at the ceiling, sprawled on the floor, periodically starting to cry and laugh.

She remembered what had happened.

She remembered how her doppelganger had died, how her first Beast Soul had been destroyed, and how she herself had destroyed her second Beast Soul.

Surprisingly, these memories were intertwined with other unusual memories in which she lived and fought for her life in the form of a dragon. These memories were so vivid and realistic that she couldn’t put them down to a dream.

Now that she had become a real dragon, her mind accepted these memories as something real and did not try to reject them.

A bright spot in these memories was the episode when she met an old dragon when she was still a very young dragon. He told her the legend of dragons and knights, and what she remembered most was the word “Dragon Rider.”

As soon as Hailey remembered this, the image of a shy young man appeared in her mind.

Then came the vague words of the one Hailey considered her mistress.:

“You have to keep an eye on him and take him for walks so that he doesn’t hide in his room all the time.”

Previously, Hailey had taken these words simply as an assignment. Take care of the young man. Make sure he doesn’t shut himself in. Sometimes pull it out.

But now that her consciousness has changed, those same words have taken on a completely different meaning for her.

A young man hiding in his room.

The dragon tasked with taking him outside.

And the legend of the Dragon Rider.

At that moment, something trembled in the depths of her soul. It wasn’t a simple memory or a random thought. It was a wish. Vague, instinctive, but very strong.

In the chaos of her memories, she wanted this young man to be her rider.

And as if responding to this desire, a new system message appeared before her eyes.

[Ding! The condition is partially fulfilled.]

[The selection of a candidate for the role of Dragon Rider has begun.]

[The candidate has been selected.]

Meanwhile, not far from the restaurant, in one of the houses, loud music was playing in a dark room. The young man, immersed in working on the Kingdom’s Contribution System, was intently studying the many screens in front of him.

Since Leo returned from a party at the bar with the guys, he had not left his room and did not want to participate in such events anymore.

He realized that he liked spending time alone in his dark room.

Determined that no one would be able to get him out of this room, Leo plunged into his work.

And then, suddenly, an unexpected System notification appeared in front of his eyes.:

[Ding! You have been selected as a candidate for the Dragon Rider].

0_0

Leo stared at the System Notification in amazement.

A screen with the emoji [(⊙_⊙)] appeared next to it.

Leo’s own system was in turmoil.

[Ding! Verification of the candidate’s compliance with the minimum requirements of a Dragon Rider has begun.]

Leo was still sitting motionless in front of the screens, not blinking at the notification.

“Dragon… who…?”

Next to him, his System’s screen went blank for a moment, then flashed back on.

[(o_O)!]

[Ding! The check is completed.]

[Host’s candidate does not meet the minimum requirements of a Dragon Rider.]

«…»

[…]

Leo and his own System didn’t understand what was going on. System only displayed incoming messages from another System.

For a few seconds, the only sound in the room was loud music.

Leo, overcome with fear and misunderstanding, said, “Dragon Rider? Me? Is this some kind of joke?”

And as if in answer to his question, a new notification appeared in front of his eyes.

[Ding! The error was not detected.]

[Host, you were chosen as a candidate correctly.]

[Due to the critical discrepancy between the candidate’s physical, combat, and psychological training and the minimum requirements for a Dragon Rider, this System launches a special task.]

[Special task: Dragon Rider Training.]

[Description: Candidate Leo must complete a basic advanced training course that will help him establish a strong bond with the dragon, survive flight, withstand the dragon aura, and take part in combat maneuvers.]

[Objective of the task: To achieve the minimum acceptable level of physical and mental fitness.]

[First stage: Leave the room.]

[Time limit: 10 minutes.]

[Reward: Unlock the next stage of preparation.]

[Failure penalty: Forced teleportation.]

Leo froze.

“System… Are you serious?”

His System’s screen flickered, and a new expression appeared on it.

[┐(︶▽︶)┌]

[The process is already running, Host. Nothing can be changed. Only success or failure awaits you.]

Leo straightened up abruptly.

“No way! No, no, no! This is too much! I refuse!”

[Ding! The countdown has started.]

[09:59]

Leo stared at the timer.

Then at the door.

Then set the timer again.

The music continued to play loudly, and the screens flickered.

“I protest,” Leo said flatly.

[The protest is rejected.]

[Suck it up, Host.]

[(￣▽￣) System sent Leo a joyful emoji, as if mocking him.

[This is the best thing that happened to you after taking the weight loss potion.]

[Don’t miss this chance! Not everyone can be chosen as a Dragon Rider.]

[You’re very lucky.]

Leo was stunned to realize that his System had so quickly changed its attitude and betrayed him.

here is only 1 chapter today. I will publish the second chapter as an additional one in the coming days. Today I didn’t have time for 2 chapters of 1000 words, so I combined them into one chapter with 1500 words.
