Chapter 1060: Nexus Sol03

[The “Back entrance to the Dungeon” is set]

[Connection to Nexus Sol03 has been established]

[Due to the right of “Permanent Guest”, Hosts are granted access to Nexus Sol03]

[Would you like to visit Nexus Sol03?]

Looking at each other, Idan and Arabel saw in each other’s eyes an undisguised desire to see this System City.

But before they visited the Nexus, they turned to Irene and the others.

“Now you understand why we called you back,” Arabel smiled, noticing the amazement and disbelief on their faces.

“With this, the Kingdom has its own entrance to the Dungeon, and we no longer have to fight for the right to get there with others.”

“It really changes everything,” Irene nodded.

“Now we just have to wait for the gates to open and finally see what this Dungeon is like,” Idan said, glancing at the timer.

He turned to Irene and the others with a mysterious smile, “Sister and friends, Belle and I need to leave for a while.”

“We’ll tell you everything when we get back,” he added, because neither he nor Arabel had yet fully realized what this System City harbored.

While Irene and the others were trying to digest what they had heard, Idan and Arabel, holding hands, gave their consent to the System to visit the Nexus Sol03.

The gates of the Dungeon shone, and an invisible force pulled them inside with irresistible force.

The bright light blinded Idan and Arabel for a moment, forcing them both to squint. When the feeling of teleportation passed and they felt a solid surface under their feet, they opened their eyes and saw a huge empty space in front of them.

There was a huge circular teleportation building behind them. It was not just a set of disparate gates, but a single system node embedded right in the center of the square.

The floor surface of the building was lined with smooth, light-colored slabs, on which symbols and outlines resembling diagrams of some unknown mechanism could be seen in thin lines. There were several wide arched entrances around the perimeter of the building, identical in appearance and unmarked from the outside.

Idan and Arabel appeared just at one of these archways.

Instead of the expected futuristic System City they expected to see, there was a vast, deserted square in front of them.

[Welcome to the Nexus Sol03!]

A system notification popped up.

When Idan and Arabel received the notification, they noticed that four new objects had appeared a little further in front of them.:

* Dark monolithic wall;

* A device similar to a vending machine, but more futuristic;

* A small building with a terminal and many enclosed cells;

* Huge holographic console.

Before Idan and Arabel could look around, the system displayed the following notification.

[Ding! Congratulations to the Hosts for becoming the first visitors and activating Nexus Sol03!]

[Ding! You have been awarded the unique status of “Pioneers of the Nexus”!]

[Ding! Each Host received 50,000 System Points!]

[Ding! According to the rules of the Systems, this achievement has become a Global Event. A Global System Announcement will be published in the “Local Systems Network”.]

[Attention Hosts! Do you wish to remain anonymous?]

“A Global System Announcement?” wondered Arabel, ignoring the other awards. She turned to Idan, “Dan, what should we choose?”

“We’re already not in the best light for many, and it’s better not to attract even more attention. Although, most likely, the System uses our nicknames in the System Network, and sooner or later someone will find out. So we’d better choose anonymity.”

Arabel agreed that it was not worth loudly proclaiming her success.

“We choose anonymity,” they announced.

And at the same moment, all the Awakened in the world received the same notification.

[Ding! A new Global System Announcement has been received in the “Local Systems Network”!]

[GLOBAL EVENT: NEXUS SOL03 ACTIVATION]

[The fulfillment of the conditions of the world achievement is hereby confirmed. A group of two Hosts [IDENTITIES HIDDEN] successfully logged in and activated the Nexus Sol03 facility. In accordance with the protocols of the development of the world, the object was transferred from the status of “Blocked” to the status of “Active”. The discoverers have been given the unique status of “Pioneers of the Nexus”.]

“I’m sure my sister and the others will guess that it’s us,” Idan said, plunging into reading the Global System Announcement on the Local System Network.

“Of course they’ll figure it out,” Arabel agreed, not doubting it.

That’s exactly what happened.

It didn’t take long for Irene and the others in the Kingdom to realize that these two unknown Hosts were Idan and Arabel. After all, not long after they disappeared inside the dungeon gate, a Global System Announcement appeared.

Meanwhile, Idan and Arabel approached the four objects and, after carefully examining them, realized what they were. In addition, they noticed that there are about eight similar places around the circular building, where the same four objects are located.

The dark monolithic wall, known in the System as the {Quest Wall}, served as a kind of place where tasks could be received and transferred from other Hosts, Systems, and even from the Nexus City itself.

Yes, the Nexus was a System City that was currently empty and just beginning its operations.

The Nexus is a city that has yet to be built by the Awakened.

The vending machine served as a basic system store, where basic healing potions and other supplies could be purchased for system points.

A small building known as the “System Auction House” was the place where all the purchase and sale transactions were carried out within the System Auction within the Local Systems Network.

In other words, the Awakened Ones couldn’t just buy or sell goods through the System Auction.

“Probably, the systems cannot transfer the purchased goods over a distance, and these auction houses serve as places for their storage and transfer,” Arabel thought, not fully understanding the whole mechanism.

“It probably is,” Idan agreed.

And the last object, the holographic console, was one of the most important things here. It not only contained the Nexus map, but also the function of buying and renting so-called Core Modules and Slot Modules in the Nexus.

In other words, the acquisition and lease of land.
