Reincarnation Of The Strongest Sword God

Chapter 3924 - Chapter 998 - 30-Second Primordial God

Chapter 998 – 30-Second Primordial God

He blocked it?! Seven Melody had eyes like saucers when she saw Shi Feng sending the amorphous hand flying. But how is this possible?! Not even that old woman managed to block its attack!

Forlorn Chime was Level 244 and fully equipped with Divine Artifacts. She was one of the Scarlet Merchant Alliance’s old monsters and had risen to prominence over a century ago. Even back then, she could already fight a Level 245 Ancient God and survive for quite some time. If she couldn’t block even one attack from one of the Undying Mother’s amorphous hands without taking damage, it went without saying the Undying Mother was significantly stronger than a Level 245 Ancient God.

Yet, Shi Feng had blocked the attack that Forlorn Chime had failed to block. Moreover, Seven Melody could see that Shi Feng was only Level 232. The quality of his equipment should also be much inferior to Forlorn Chime’s.

Besides Seven Melody, the other old monsters who had fled from the center of the battlefield were also shocked by Shi Feng’s accomplishment. A few even forgot to defend themselves against the amorphous hands and got killed.

When did he become so strong? Kowloon Demon was surprised by Shi Feng’s strength.

Kowloon Demon remembered that the first time he fought Shi Feng, although Shi Feng could rival sixth-floor experts, the other party only had a 50% chance of beating him, even after he had suppressed his Basic Attributes to match Shi Feng’s.

In an actual fight, Kowloon Demon was confident he could trounce Shi Feng if he did not suppress his Basic Attributes. Even if Shi Feng had leveled up a lot since then, there should still be a significant gap in strength between them.

Not to mention, ever since his first visit to the Greater God’s Domain, he had upgraded much of his equipment.

So, what was up with this situation?

Even though Shi Feng was only Level 232, the attack he had executed felt deadly to Kowloon Demon. It had even sent the amorphous hand flying, a feat Kowloon Demon doubted he could replicate.

Wasn’t he supposed to only rival sixth-floor experts? Flawless Cotton was similarly stunned when she saw Shi Feng blocking one of the Undying Mother’s attacks.

The Undying Mother’s strength was self-evident. In Flawless Cotton’s opinion, only Umbra Talon and Purgatory Jade could just barely block the amorphous hands’ attacks without taking any damage.

Hence, Shi Feng’s attack, which sent an amorphous hand flying, completely shattered Flawless Cotton’s understanding of God’s Domain.

“Incoming! Everyone, spread out!” Umbra Talon shouted when he saw over a dozen amorphous hands extending toward their group. At the same time, he reached for the two axes on his back and stood in front of everyone.

Subsequently, Umbra Talon brandished his axes, stirring up a storm as he created an illusory world before him.

When the amorphous hands collided with the illusory world, each collision forced Umbra Talon back a step. After over a dozen steps back, he successfully blocked the attacks of all the amorphous hands, shielding the players behind him from all damage.

“This thing is really powerful,” Umbra Talon said when he saw that he had lost over 50% HP. However, this was still an acceptable outcome. With Flawless Cotton healing him, he could tank the dozen or so amorphous hands by himself.

However, as if to ridicule Umbra Talon for his thoughts, over a hundred amorphous hands shot out from the ground ahead and bombarded him like raindrops. Umbra Talon’s face sank at this turn of events.

“Leave the defense to me. You guys should figure out how to deal with the Boss,” Purgatory Jade said before leaping forward and standing in front of Umbra Talon. At the same time, the two round shields she wielded transformed into iron walls that covered all directions.

Upon completing this transformation, Purgatory Jade twisted and turned her body, making the iron walls, which were apparently composed of World Laws, spin with her. When the amorphous hands came down on Purgatory Jade, not only did they fail to break the iron walls protecting her, but all their power also dispersed into the surroundings—as if they had just struck a wall of air. They didn’t damage Purgatory Jade in the slightest.

“What brilliant Law Manipulation!” Shi Feng was amazed at this scene.

Law Manipulation[1] was a special way of using World Laws in God’s Domain to perform various complex tasks. However, as most players already had difficulty replicating the standard operation of World Laws, few players could accomplish Law Manipulation. Even after his Concentration had reached the Pseudo-Tier 7 standard, Shi Feng had only begun to attempt Law Manipulation.

On the other hand, Purgatory Jade could already put Law Manipulation into practice. Her multitasking standard was simply unprecedented.

“My Law Manipulation is only entry-level. It’s only doing well now because the Undying Mother isn’t proficient at attacking. It wouldn’t have been as effective against the Primordial Demon from before,” Purgatory Jade said, glancing at Shi Feng and giving her opinion of the Undying Mother.

“Since our defense is no longer a concern, we should consider how to deal with these amorphous hands!” Umbra Talon said upon seeing that Purgatory Jade had the situation under control. However, when he swept his gaze across the crater and saw how many amorphous hands there were, he winced.

At Umbra Talon’s words, everyone else also turned to look at the amorphous hands scattered across the crater.

According to the intelligence their respective Guilds had collected, the Undying Mother didn’t have a specific form. Every amorphous object could be considered an incarnation of the Undying Mother, so damaging any of these amorphous objects was equivalent to damaging the Undying Mother. While this made it easy to damage the Undying Mother, the Taboo Boss’s undying nature made it so that unless all its incarnations were destroyed simultaneously, it could rapidly reconstruct the destroyed amorphous objects and stay alive.

There were over a thousand amorphous hands in the crater. Unless they could get enough experts to survive and attack all these amorphous hands, their chances of killing the Undying Mother were nonexistent.

“I’m afraid simultaneously eliminating all these amorphous hands isn’t possible,” Bloodsoaked Knight said, feeling helpless as he watched the players fleeing from the crater.

Previously, he thought defeating the Undying Mother would be easy with so many powers working together. However, when it came down to the actual fight, there weren’t even a hundred players who could hold their ground against the Undying Mother…

“We’re not out of options,” Shi Feng suddenly said. “I have a solution, but it’ll be difficult to pull off and requires the cooperation of many players.”

“Cooperation? How should we cooperate? Also, most players here can’t survive even a hit from an amorphous hand,” Kowloon Demon said.

“I can make it so everyone here can fight the amorphous hands for a short period. My only concern is that they can’t kill all the amorphous hands fast enough,” Shi Feng said, glancing at the amorphous hands that had one trillion HP each. Most Tier 6 players would need significant time to deal one trillion damage, even against a defenseless target.

“A short period? How short is it?” Umbra Talon asked.

“Thirty seconds!” Shi Feng said as he pulled a bottle of Divine Blood from his bag. “This Divine Blood can let me wield the strength of a Primordial God for 30 seconds. During this period, I should be able to completely suppress all these amorphous hands.”

I am using this name as a placeholder for now. I might come back and change it when I have more information on this supposedly special method of using World Laws in the future.
