Reborn as a Weak Beauty Pampered by All

Chapter 1438: Chapter 1242:

Seeing this, Kang Li grew anxious and hurriedly asked, ”Are you feeling wronged just because I said a couple of words?” Ming Wei shook her head, ”No, I’m not feeling wronged because of what Mom said, I, I...” Unable to continue, the tears welled up in Ming Wei’s eyes like a flood that couldn’t be stopped.

Ming Han’s eyes also started to redden, but stubbornly refused to let the tears fall. Kang Li’s expression suddenly changed, and she looked coldly at Luo Yanqing and asked, ”Professor Luo, what on earth happened with the two kids at school?” It was clear that he had returned from the institute but wasn’t home; apparently, he had been called to the school by the teacher.

But couldn’t this person explain things as soon as he walked in the door?

Luo Yanqing felt utterly wronged; it wasn’t that he wouldn’t speak, it was that his wife didn’t give him a chance to speak! As soon as she saw the kids, she went off in a stream of complaints, and now she was glaring at him, as if it were snowing in June!

”Mom... this afternoon almost all the students in the second year were spreading rumors that Ming Wei and I are illegitimate children, saying we were born from an affair and that we’re not Dad’s kids... Han Qian even said I looked like her father’s illegitimate child...”

As the words left his mouth, the grievance buried deep in Ming Han’s heart surged up all at once, and he could no longer hold back his tears, letting them flow freely.

”They’re talking nonsense!”

Kang Li was visibly agitated, ”Your dad is such a good man, do you think your mom would betray him like that? Besides, there are lots of people in the world who look alike; does that mean they’re all related?”

Ming Han: ”I didn’t believe those rumors, but they were really pushing it too far, so I couldn’t help but hit them!”

”Good job! They asked for it with their loose tongues, so they deserved it!” Kang Li’s expression softened somewhat, ”Since you gave them a good beating, and we’re not wrong, don’t feel wronged. Otherwise, your mom will think you’re being fussy.”

”But I feel upset inside.”

Ming Han still felt very wronged.

Kang Li walked over, embraced the teenager, ruffled his hair, and gently patted his back, ”Alright, our Han Han won’t feel wronged anymore. We’ll treat those classmates’ words like the wind passing by. Besides, with your dad going to the school, Mom believes he’ll surely resolve this matter. Go wash your face; dinner’s ready soon.”

Releasing the teenager, Kang Li pulled Ming Wei into her arms, wiped away her daughter’s tears, and comforted her, ”In Mom’s opinion, there’s a ninety-percent chance that Han Qian spread that rumor,

Her goal is nothing but to ruin your and your brother’s reputation, and the reason she’s doing this is definitely because she was annoyed by your mom and felt the need to vent her frustration on you siblings. People like her, with a twisted mind, are bound to fall hard one day.”

After a brief pause, Kang Li shifted her gaze to Luo Yanqing, ”Has the school’s decision been made?”

Luo Yanqing nodded, ”Yes.”

Kang Li: ”Do the children know?”

”I didn’t say anything on the way back.”

Hearing this from Luo Yanqing, Kang Li couldn’t help but give him a sideways glance, ”Can you tell the kids now?”

”The school suggested that the girl named Han Qian transfer, and if her family disagrees, the school will directly expel her.”

Luo Yanqing’s clear voice spilled over his lips, ”The students who spread the rumors about Luo Minghan and Luo Mingwei in their classes have already apologized to them, and the parents of these students also apologized in front of me,

The school leaders apologized for what happened today, and accompanied me to every class in the second year. I personally confirmed in front of those students that Luo Minghan and Luo Mingwei’s surname is Luo, shattering the rumors, so that they wouldn’t resurface someday.”

Speaking of which, Luo Yanqing originally intended to take this opportunity to reveal Ming Han and Ming Wei’s background to Kang Li today, of course, when Ming Han and Ming Wei weren’t home. Who knew, Ming Han spoke up first, and his tone was filled with grievance, and he was sobbing uncontrollably. Adding to that, Kang Li’s reaction after Ming Han spoke, made Luo Yanqing’s recently made decision somewhat waver.

After listening to what Luo Yanqing said, Kang Li pondered for a while and then said, ”In my opinion, why not directly transfer Han Han and Wei Wei to the affiliated junior high here.”

Although the man’s actions at the kids’ school can make the rumors disappear, people usually love gossip. Who can guarantee that one day some classmate won’t bring up the old stories again with a loose tongue?

Besides, is that so-called rumor really just a rumor?

If there was no basis, would the girl from the Han Family have been able to say those things?
