Reborn as a Weak Beauty Pampered by All

Chapter 1046: Chapter 1032

Cai Xiufen suddenly sighed and said, ”Thinking about Xiao En, that child is really pitiful. His father is unknown, and his mother died early, in fact, she died due to complications while giving birth to him. When Xiao En grows up and learns of this, he might feel very upset.”

Luo Yanqing said calmly, ”Xiao Li and I will take good care of the child.”

”I know you and Li Bao will be good to Xiao En, but ultimately, you’re just his Godfather and Godmother, and you have Ruirui and the others to take care of. You surely can’t spare much extra energy for that child...”

Before Cai Xiufen could finish her sentence, Kang Li’s voice sounded, ”If Xiao En’s situation is serious, I will discuss with Uncle Loh and Aunt Li to see if we can bring Xiao En back to live in North City for a period of time.”

”...Have you thought it through?”

Cai Xiufen looked at Kang Li but didn’t immediately voice any objection.

Upon hearing this, Kang Li didn’t immediately respond to his mother, but instead turned his gaze to Luo Yanqing: ”Shuimu University has an affiliated kindergarten. We can take him there in the mornings when going to school, and then bring him back to the compound in the afternoons. This way, Xiao En can spend more time with us and also with Ruirui and them. Gradually, he will surely return to how he was before.”

”I have no objections.”

Luo Yanqing nodded.

”If we really bring Xiao En back, I don’t think it needs to be as complicated as you said.” Cai Xiufen said, ”Just send him to the kindergarten Ruirui and the others attended before. I can pick him up in the afternoon, isn’t that quite convenient!”

Kang Li thought for a moment and said, ”We’ll see at the time.”

...

Hu City.

”Is Xiao En asleep?”

”Yes, he just fell asleep.”

”I don’t know if Xiao Kang coming over will help improve Xiao En’s condition.”

Elder Loh sighed, took off his glasses, placed them on the desk, and got up to go to the study door, ”Let’s go, it’s not early anymore, let’s go back to the room and get some rest.”

”Okay.” Old Lady Li nodded. She had come over after putting her great-grandchild to sleep to call her husband to go back to the room to rest.

To prevent the old man from staying up late and affecting his health.

”Why do you think Xiao En suddenly stopped being close to Xiao Xiao?”

Lying in bed, Elder Loh voiced his doubts.

”How would I know?”

Old Lady Li’s voice carried a hint of weariness, she said, ”We can all see that Xiao Xiao is very fond of Xiao En, and likewise, Xiao En enjoyed spending time with Xiao Xiao. No one could have expected that Xiao En would suddenly not want to be close to Xiao Xiao anymore.”

”Didn’t you find out anything from Xiao Xiao?”

”Xiao Xiao said he really likes Xiao En, and in front of the child, he has never said harsh words, nor has he ever spoken loudly.”

”What could it be then?”

”Not sure.”

”Xiao Xue wasn’t one to talk much before, but she never clammed up like a mute gourd like Xiao En.” As he spoke, Elder Loh sighed, ”I think Xiao En might have encountered something or overheard something while being with Xiao Xiao, which is why he doesn’t want to continue associating with Xiao Xiao. Then there’s that incident at the kindergarten, which still makes me upset.”

Old Lady Li: ”I feel the same way, but children never mean what they say, and the other child’s parents have already apologized to us. If we keep holding onto this, do we really want to argue with a group of three or four-year-old kids?”

”If the upper beam isn’t straight, the lower beam will be crooked. If it weren’t for the adults at home speaking improperly, how would the children know that Xiao En is without a father and mother?” Elder Loh frowned deeply, his expression quite displeased.

”What else can we do? When people ask about Xiao En’s background, we can’t just hem and haw and say nothing, can we?”

Old Lady Li’s tone was full of helplessness.
