Reborn as a Weak Beauty Pampered by All

Chapter 1021: Chapter 1012: Luo Yanqing Feels Sorry for His Wife

Old Man Xiao agreed, but his feelings for the old lady were too deep. In the letter, he candidly stated that his reason for living was to protect Old Lady Yu, the woman he cared about. How could he let her go to a completely unfamiliar world alone?

So, he wanted to quickly follow in Old Lady Yu’s footsteps. He had no choice but to go against her wishes and choose to reunite in another world, continuing to protect his lady, the woman he loved!

To prevent his sudden departure from causing trouble for Kang Li, he deliberately left a letter with a comrade from the public office, explaining his self-inflicted death.

Furthermore, in the letter he left for Kang Li, Old Man Xiao made a request: he asked Kang Li to bury him not far from Old Lady Yu’s grave. He clearly indicated the location in the letter and informed Kang Li that all procedures had been completed, so she only needed to bury him there.

Actually, in Kang Li’s opinion, if possible, Old Man Xiao would definitely want to be buried with Old Lady Yu. But due to Old Lady Yu’s reputation as the Lady of Jiang Family, he had to find a place near her grave to fulfill his lifelong love.

...

With the help of the public office comrade, Old Man Xiao was smoothly buried, just not far from Old Lady Yu, in the position he had personally chosen.

Afterward, Kang Li took some time to return alone to the courtyard house and temporarily stored the items Old Lady Yu left her in the System space with the help of ”Dwen Dwen.”

By the time she officially started attending classes at school, a week had already passed since the start of the term.

This morning, Luo Yanqing drove Kang Li to Shuimu University. It was Kang Li’s first day of classes.

”Let’s rest near the school at noon and drive back to the compound in the afternoon to pick up Ruirui and the others. If you’re willing, we can do this every day. What do you think?”

Noticing Kang Li was not very cheerful, Luo Yanqing smiled and said.

”Your call.”

Kang Li had no objections.

After a while of hearing nothing from Kang Li, Luo Yanqing’s concern was unmistakable as he asked, ”Are you still thinking about Grandpa Xiao?”

”No.”

Kang Li shook her head.

Luo Yanqing didn’t believe it and said, ”I once heard someone say that when elderly couples have a good relationship and one leaves, even if the other isn’t ready, they can suddenly lose all vitality and quickly follow their partner.”

”I know.”

Kang Li’s tone was flat: ”Good relationships suddenly losing their spiritual support, for those still alive, are equivalent to losing the reason to live. So... actually, this can be considered an elevation and interpretation of love!”

After a slight pause, Kang Li added with little emotion, ”Of course, those who are young and, due to losing a partner, ignore their responsibilities and want to live recklessly, that’s not love. It’s just selfish behavior!”

”You... you’re right...”

His young lady was so perceptive, an insight that made his heart ache.

Luo Yanqing held the steering wheel with his left hand, and tightly clasped Kang Li’s slender hand on her knee with his right hand, saying, ”We will grow old together!”

”Mm.”

Kang Li nodded, considered a response.

”By the way, you said last night that you’re planning to self-study. Are you sure about this?”

”Mm.”

”You’re planning to take courses in two majors; can you manage it?”

”Ruirui and the others are grown now, I don’t need to worry about everything like before. At school, besides reading and studying, I have nothing else to do. Moreover, as you know, I have a photographic memory and an exceptional understanding ability. Studying two majors is nothing for me.”
