Reborn as a Weak Beauty Pampered by All

Chapter 937: Chapter 934: I Don’t Agree—Let’s See If That Works

The reason is simple. She has been living with her daughter in North City for years, and can’t really oversee village women’s affairs. How could she continue to occupy the position and annoy people?

So, after much hesitation, she made a call back to resign as the village Women’s Federation Director.

As her thoughts drifted to this, Cai Xiufen realized there was another reason she didn’t want to get involved in her grandson’s matters: she recalled Elder Loh’s granddaughter, Loh Xue.

A well-behaved and obedient girl, who, before dying, never told her family who the father of her child was, the child she had risked her life to give birth to.

Cai Xiufen suspected that it was probably similar to the situation with Educated Youth Yan, who was deceived by a man, lost her body and emotions, ended up having a child, but couldn’t bear to terminate the pregnancy. So, she traded her life for the cry of the newborn.

From Loh Xue’s issue, Cai Xiufen’s thoughts returned to Educated Youth Yan... She had no prejudice against these deceived girls, but she still didn’t want her grandson to fall for Educated Youth Yan.

However, her beloved daughter made it clear: it wasn’t Educated Youth Yan pestering or clinging to their Xiao Hong, demanding to marry into the Kang Family. It was Xiao Hong who liked her and wanted to take responsibility.

If she opposed, even if the brat agreed not to marry Educated Youth Yan, resentment might grow among family members.

Sigh!

Cai Xiufen sighed inwardly, thinking as the kids grow, they become more complicated, and as a grandmother, why should she meddle too much? Parents should be in charge; it’s only right, she should just watch!

”Dad, what do you think we should do?”

Not getting any advice from her mother-in-law, Elder sister-in-law Kang turned her gaze to her father-in-law, Captain Kang. Unexpectedly, Captain Kang said directly, ”As I’ve said before, you and Big Brother Kang are the parents. You can decide about Xiao Hong’s affairs, I have no opinion.”

”This...”

Elder sister-in-law Kang was at a loss, she looked at Big Brother Kang. ”What do you think?”

”Let’s hear what you have to say first.”

Big Brother Kang kicked the ball back to her.

Elder sister-in-law Kang glared at Big Brother Kang angrily. ”I disagree, do you think it can work?”

Upon hearing this, Big Brother Kang did not respond immediately. He turned his head, opened half the window, and shouted out, ”Kang Yihong! Get over here!”

Kang Li hesitated for a moment. She actually sympathized with Big Brother Kang and Elder sister-in-law Kang, and she understood their feelings now, but what could they do?

The son liked the educated young woman, actively proposed to bring her home. If the son refused to give up, parents, in the end, would have to agree even if they didn’t want to.

Otherwise, if the brat said he wouldn’t go to college, things could get out of hand!

Kang Li certainly didn’t want such a situation to arise. If Kang Yihong really dared to be so foolish, she would be the first to smack him on the back of the head.

In short, issues should be resolved through discussions, not by indulging the brat to joke around with his future.

”Grandpa, Grandma, Auntie.”

Kang Yihong entered the room, and greeted Captain Kang, Cai Xiufen, and Kang Li, then turned his gaze to Big Brother Kang and Elder sister-in-law Kang. ”Dad, Mom.”

Elder sister-in-law Kang: ”I’m not your mom!”

Kang Yihong instantly stiffened, pressing his lips tightly together, not daring to say a word as he faced his parents.

”Your aunt has already told us everything. Now, let me ask what you think, what do you have in mind?”

Big Brother Kang stared at his son, and before Kang Yihong could speak, he continued, ”Your mom and I raised you till now, is it just to let you take the blame for others? Speak up, tell us what’s on your mind.”

Kang Yihong: ”I like Educated Youth Yan.”

Big Brother Kang: ”That’s it? That’s all?”

Kang Yihong: ”That’s all.”
