Reborn as a Weak Beauty Pampered by All

Chapter 481: Chapter 481: Guaranteeing an Explanation

”All right, I’ll leave my home landline number, my little brother will be staying at my place for the next couple of days, so if you need to contact him, call my house.”

As she spoke, Kang Li turned to look at Leader Liu from North City Petrochemical, ”Comrade, seeing my little brother’s current condition, I personally think it’s not appropriate for him to stay and continue working at the unit. Also, my little brother’s emotions need to be calmed, so, may I please ask for a couple of days off for him?”

Leader Liu nodded, ”Fine.”

Having obtained permission, Kang Li looked away from the other person, then gave a nod to the two police officers, and then Kang Guoan carried her out of the conference room in a horizontal hold.

Captain Kang and his wife, as well as Kang Yiyang, followed closely behind Kang Guoan.

”Dad, Mom, I really don’t need to go to the hospital. Actually, there’s something I’ve never told you. Let’s go home first, and once I’ve talked to you about it, you won’t worry so much anymore.”

Once they’d left North City Petrochemical, Kang Li refused to go to the hospital no matter what. She gestured for Kang Yiyang to hail a taxi that happened to be passing by. The family got in and once again refused to go to the hospital for a checkup.

Not long after Kang Li and the others had left, Yang Dawei and his brother were taken to the police station by the two officers. Soon, the large conference room was left with only a few leaders from North City Petrochemical.

”All right, you all should go back to what you were doing, oh, and Old Hu, wait a moment.”

Leader Liu held back the security department director and gestured to the others to leave, then he turned to the security department director and said, ”Regarding Comrade Yang Zijuan pursuing Comrade Kang Guoan, I want a thorough and detailed investigation. Arrange it and get to the bottom of it as quickly as possible.”

Director Hu of the security department nodded, ”Okay.”

Leader Liu, ”Don’t forget to have the comrades providing testimony sign their names.”

Director Hu of the security department, ”You can count on me, Old Hu. I definitely won’t forget that.”

Leader Liu, ”After you’ve investigated thoroughly, you and Comrade Lin...” After finishing the instructions to the security department director, Leader Liu finally added, ”Go on then, get busy.”

”I’m off then.”

Director Hu of the security department responded and then turned and left the conference room.

As for Comrade Lin mentioned by Leader Liu, he was one of the two police officers.

”Hello...”

Leader Liu paced around the conference room with hands on hips and then dialed the institute on the other end of the phone. As soon as he heard Director Song’s voice, Leader Liu didn’t beat around the bush and recounted the whole process of why Kang Guoan was beaten to Director Song.

”This is simply outrageous!”

Director Song slapped the desk, his face as dark as the bottom of a pot, ”How can they casually accuse others and then assault someone like that? Who gave them the audacity?”

Leader Liu, ”Calm down! Listen to me, I haven’t finished speaking...”

Director Song, ”How am I supposed to calm down? Though it was an organizational decision to have that child join your unit, in the end, if I hadn’t mentioned North City Petrochemical, he wouldn’t have ended up working there.

So what’s the result? Despite working hard and excelling at his job, he had to suffer so much injustice at your unit. Thinking about it, I feel like showing up in front of you right now and having a fight with you!”

”Can we talk rationally here! Did our unit cause the grievances suffered by Kang Guoan? It was the female comrade named Yang Zijuan, due to personal feelings, who caused the trouble for Comrade Kang Guoan. Rest assured now. The matter has been mostly clarified, and we should have the results by the day after tomorrow at the latest. By then, our unit will certainly give Comrade Kang Guoan a proper explanation,”

said Leader Liu with a smile.

Director Song huffed coldly into the phone, ”That’s what your unit is supposed to do anyway. Don’t try to ingratiate yourself with me.”
