I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 1059: Chapter 1058: Official Launch

Have you ever heard of a cat attending class?

Yes, this kind of thing isn’t unusual in the small courtyard. Black Coal Ball isn’t opposed to attending class; it can’t go to school with a backpack like Luo Yirui, so it has to stay in the small courtyard.

It also has a deskmate, which is Jing Changle.

Jing Changle didn’t go to school because he doesn’t have the basic foundation. He knows simple arithmetic and some characters, but at his age, he should be in the second grade, yet he hasn’t even encountered first-grade knowledge.

Both Jing Changle and Black Coal Ball are attending class formally for the first time, and the teaching methods for one human and one cat are, of course, completely different.

Black Coal Ball aims to understand human society and to understand itself.

As for Jing Changle, all the textbooks needed for first grade are piled up in front of him.

”Changle, I will hire a dedicated teacher to teach you first-grade knowledge. Once you’ve learned everything, then you can go to school,” Beisitian said.

Jing Changle nodded after hearing this and said, ”Aunt Bei, I have some money, so I can pay the tuition myself.”

Previously, Beisitian had mentioned the tuition issue and told him not to worry.

Beisitian smiled and said, ”I’ve noted down the tuition issue, and you can repay Auntie once you grow up and start earning money. For now, this money is what your mother left for you and will be of great use in the future.”

Jing Changle felt both warm-hearted and disappointed that Aunt Bei still wouldn’t allow him to be part of the small courtyard.

Jing Changle was taken to another room to study, leaving Black Coal Ball sitting alone there; what should it do if it wants to groom itself...

Faced with Beisitian, there’s always an invisible pressure, perhaps because this woman is the reason it’s in a cat’s body.

”I don’t have the money to pay tuition, you can choose not to teach me!” Black Coal Ball retorted rebelliously, feeling a bit proud inside.

Luo Yirui helplessly translated every word beside them, without any embellishment, to avoid his mom misunderstanding.

Upon hearing this, Beisitian smiled and asked, ”Do you know what humans call your current behavior?”

Black Coal Ball’s whiskers twitched, ”What do they call it?”

”They call it low emotional intelligence.”

”Emotional intelligence? How is it different from intelligence?” Black Coal Ball tilted its head and asked.

”Emotional intelligence involves controlling emotions, recognizing others’ emotions, and managing relationships. With high emotional intelligence, you can navigate many situations smoothly. Though, as a cat, you might not need it,”

Beisitian sighed.

Black Coal Ball felt dejected, is this discrimination against cats?

”It’s just emotional intelligence, ha, learn it in minutes.”

Beisitian smiled; eventually, it can’t always be at odds with the three little ones. Luo Yirui might be able to bluff, but can he bluff it forever?

After becoming a cat, its harmfulness has decreased, and its capabilities are relatively limited. Without a good stronghold to rely on, it may become an object of contention among various forces. Whether it would still have autonomy, or be as free as it is now, is uncertain.

She hoped that by understanding human society, it would realize this and understand its future path. She wanted Luo Yirui to have significant assistance and hoped this little guy would have a good place without harming humans.

The course for one human and one cat officially started, with Beisitian personally conducting the class for Black Coal Ball. Though this creature is now a freshman, it’s still dangerous; it seems unaware of its own abilities, nor does it know how to use them.

To Beisitian’s surprise, Strawberry and Mango were actually able to restrain its abilities, which was unexpected.
