She Lives without Regret in This Life

Chapter 949: Chapter 999: Strike While You’re Down

The General Union Courtyard, an important office location for the union and the rescue world. She secretly followed to take a look, but she had no chance to act, so she withdrew.

“Tonight, Xiao Ying, you go with Wu Long to scout first.”

“Alright! Captain, don’t worry, Living Yama is now just a cripple, killing him is as easy as crushing an ant.” Wu Long grinned with a sinister smile.

“Hmm!” Li Xia nodded, “We’ll act separately. Ruan, take people with me, let’s go meet some old friends from before.”

“Yes!”

Li Xia sneaking in this time wasn’t a reckless impulse. She had already made two plans in mind, the first was assassination, simple and direct. Strike when they’re down, if she can eliminate Living Yama that would be best, if not, she has a second plan in place.

She liked to think a lot since she was a child. When one’s martial strength isn’t powerful enough to be invincible, one can only rely on a clever mind to outsmart. Scarface has been operating on the mainland for so long, leaving behind some resources.

As long as she utilizes them well, killing Living Yama isn’t difficult.

This era is truly lacking in materials, with even fewer entertainment activities. Sheng Ning, along with Chen Huaying and others, came out of the train station and couldn’t think of where to go for fun at the moment.

No KFC, no Starbucks, no bars, eventually Lu Dabao suggested going to the movies.

But Wu Youli wanted to see a play. She heard the National Theatre had a new play, and she wanted to go observe and learn.

Sheng Ning was okay with anything, Liu Yilan didn’t mind, An’an was curious and wanted to go to all.

“Chen Huaying, do you want to see a movie or a play?”

“Are there any good movies?” Chen Huaying clearly wanted to see a movie too.

Sheng Ning shook her head; movies from 1984 felt like they were from a past life, too distant. After rebirth, she hadn’t even watched TV dramas, let alone movies.

“I heard ‘Lushan Love’ is pretty good, it’s been out for a long time, but I haven’t seen it yet. How about we watch that?” Liu Yilan suggested.

“I’ve heard about it too.” Wu Youli nodded excitedly, “I heard a lot of people like it, my mom even cried when she went to see it with my dad last time.” Not having the chance to watch ‘Lushan Love’ while always being at the General Union was her biggest regret.

Liu Yilan shrugged at Sheng Ning with a hint of smugness in her eyes. Easily resolving everyone’s differing opinions.

Sheng Ning returned with a smile.

The two had such a tacit understanding, a glance, or a word could immediately convey the meaning.

“I want to go too.”

“I support it.”

“I agree.”

Consensus reached, a group of six headed towards the cinema. At this time, there weren’t many people, Sheng Ning bought the tickets and smiled at the vintage cinema decor.

An’an was dazzled, “So beautiful! These lights are amazing.”

“An’an, have you watched a movie before?” Liu Yilan caringly stood next to her, teasing the little girl along the way.

Everyone also instinctively took care of An’an’s feelings, instantly chattering around her.

“I have, I have,” An’an’s eyes sparkled, “Occasionally, a film screening team from the county comes to the village to show movies.”

Everyone in the General Union understands that films sent from the county are sure to be patriotic educational films, many of which are repeated screenings, some even watched dozens of times.
