Longevity through Upgrading Buildings

Chapter 422: Chapter 213: The Nascent Soul Patriarch of the Water Dragon Sect

Has something happened to Han Feiyu?

Ji Yuan had just arrived home and hadn’t even sat down before he sent a message to gather Dong Qian and Du Wanyi together.

Dong Qian was the first to arrive. When Du Wanyi came later and saw Dong Qian there, she was somewhat surprised.

”What happened to Han Feiyu? Has something happened?”

Ji Yuan didn’t have the time to serve them tea and asked directly.

Dong Qian stepped back slightly, ”Junior Sister Du knows more about this matter than I do, so it’s better for her to explain.”

Ji Yuan then turned his gaze to Du Wanyi.

The latter nodded slightly and said, ”This matter is related to the Nine Nether Cave Heaven. Fourth brother, you should remember Feng Yichen, right?”

”I remember. He went to the Nine Nether Cave Heaven with Han Feiyu and entered Ghost Flood Dragon Lake, but ended up dying there.”

Ji Yuan remembered that before entering the Nine Nether Cave Heaven, he had spoken for Sect Leader Master Xuan Shui, hoping to also go to the Nine Nether Cave Heaven himself, but he avoided it with his Foundation Establishment.

”He didn’t die.”

Du Wanyi said slowly.

”Didn’t die?”

Ji Yuan raised his voice slightly.

”Yes, he didn’t die.”

Du Wanyi nodded, ”Inside the Nine Nether Cave Heaven, he was ambushed by Brother Han and severely injured, but he didn’t die. Now he has come out alive, returned to the sect, and revealed the matter.”

”How is the sect handling Han Feiyu, considering harming fellow sect members is a serious crime?”

Nothing happens if it isn’t found out, but once discovered, it’s a serious issue.

Harming fellow sect members... from another perspective, it implies that even internal safety in the sect can’t be ensured, let alone external protection. If such things happen frequently, no one would feel a sense of belonging to the sect.

So once discovered, it’s a serious crime.

”Originally, the punishment by the Law Enforcement Hall should have been execution. However, later, for some unknown reason, Feng Yichen himself approached the Sect Leader, saying the situation was special at the time. If he didn’t take action, neither of them could have come out alive. Thus, he could understand Brother Han’s decision at that time and requested the sect to revoke Brother Han’s punishment.”

”What is the situation now?”

”The judgement given by the Law Enforcement Hall is: spared from death penalty, but hard to escape living penalty. Brother Han must endure the punishment of lightning and fire, and then leave the sect to travel around, having to kill at least ten Foundation Establishment Stage Demon Cultivators for the matter to be settled, otherwise he cannot return to the sect.”

Dong Qian added, ”Not only that, the Sect Leader Martial Uncle has expelled him from the master’s sect. From now on, he will no longer be a disciple of a Golden Core Zhenren.”

”This...”

Ji Yuan didn’t expect such a sudden change.

But he also sensed something seemed off here. Feng Yichen being trapped in Nine Nether Cave Heaven and managing to come out alive, if he didn’t want Han Feiyu dead, why report it at all?

If seeking revenge, the move should be to kill him outright. Otherwise, leaving Han Feiyu half-dead... once Han Feiyu recovers, surely he would want to kill Feng Yichen completely.

As for the sect... Han Feiyu has been punished, and been expelled by Master Xuan Shui.

What’s left to hold onto with the Water Dragon Sect?

He might as well escape directly to be a Loose Cultivator.

Otherwise, requiring him to kill ten Foundation Establishment Stage Demon Cultivators — can anyone do this?

Killing even one is difficult, let alone ten. It’s clearly trying to push him to his death.

Ji Yuan upon hearing this news could think of these, how could Feng Yichen, who survived against odds, not realize these?

So there must be deep water here.

”How is Han Feiyu now? Have you seen him?” Ji Yuan asked.

Du Wanyi and Dong Qian exchanged a glance, shook their heads together, ”When we got the news, he had already been taken to the Law Enforcement Hall. It wasn’t right for us to go see him. He should be undergoing punishment, waiting to be sent away, to kill those Demon Thieves.”

”Is that so...”

Ji Yuan for a moment didn’t know what to say.

”I spoke with Brother Qingming from the Law Enforcement Hall. If Brother Han is released, he will inform me first, and then we can meet him, to see what he says himself.”

Dong Qian said softly.

”Alright, ultimately, it’s up to him to solve it himself. As for us... there’s nothing we can do.”

Ji Yuan shook his head, if it were other crimes, Master Xuan Shui could take responsibility for him, but now, frankly speaking, it’s hopeless.

The situation has reached this point, beyond recovery.

Afterward, the three of them chatted for a while longer, and Dong Qian and Du Wanyi each went home.

Ji Yuan then released the repaired [Spiritual Energy Cannon] on Wuyou Island.

...

Meanwhile.

In the Water Dragon Sect, within an unknown valley.

A water-blue escape light descended from the sky, arriving at the valley, transforming into Master Xuan Shui, who then bowed to the valley.

”Junior Xuan Shui, requests to see... Ancestor!”

After speaking, he maintained his bow without daring to rise.

From the depths of the valley emerged a silver-haired old woman, crane-haired and youthful, all her silver hair meticulously groomed, holding a cobra-headed cane.

Initially seen within the valley, in the next instant, she was in front of Master Xuan Shui.

The silver-haired old woman circled Master Xuan Shui with her cobra-headed cane.

”Little Shui, what’s happened? Days ago, you started shouting, shouting, I thought the Water Dragon Sect was going to perish.”

The calm words of the silver-haired old woman indeed sent a shiver down the spine of Master Xuan Shui, the Water Dragon Sect Leader.

”I wouldn’t dare... wouldn’t dare, it’s just a strange event within the sect, needing the ancestor’s decision.”

”What matter?”

”Years ago, the Nine Nether Cave Heaven opened, and an apprentice died inside. Now he’s emerged alive...”
