Chapter 793: Source Power Experiment, the Organization in the Shadows

The girl named Xinyan, although still alive, was also tortured to the point of being unrecognizable. Her once fair and flawless face now looked as if it had been painted, impossible to distinguish whether the blood on her face was left by undead creatures or from being swollen.

Apart from the drastic change in appearance, there was no trace of arrogance left on her face.

The endlessly emerging undead creatures that seemed to possess infinite life, and the sunless, gloomy environment, were heavy blows to Xinyan’s psychological defenses.

Therefore, when she heard Lin Yi say he was going to kill her, Xinyan’s mental state completely collapsed.

”I’ll talk, I’ll talk, I’ll say everything, woo woo woo.”

The Color Realm Celestial Human Dao plane was already a world apart from Blue Star.

The planets here, just like Blue Star, have three planets bound together, called Neighboring Star.

However, the creatures in this plane are much more perfect compared to those on Blue Star.

Take Blue Star and its bound Neighboring Star for example, the dominant species on Blue Star—humans—possess considerable creative ability and wisdom, and enhancement is their most unique ability.

The exaggerated reproductive capability of the Insect Hive Star represents life force; the innate elemental affinity of Elemental Star creatures signifies their control over natural forces, while the strong bodies of those from Ancient Ape Star symbolize extreme physical strength.

Blue Star, upon obtaining the other three powers, saw its strength grow, qualifying it to ascend to a higher plane.

Planets in the higher planes have already acquired all four powers, thus all they need are vast amounts of Source Power.

This is consistent with the actions of the deities Lin Yi is aware of.

According to Xinyan, Aiven Planet and Bisite Planet, like each other, have two factions: one official from the two planets’ authorities.

The other is the extremist faction lurking in the shadows.

The official faction can be called official because their methods are relatively clean, and even if they oppress the weak, they don’t go too far. Reputation is important to them.

As for the extremist faction in the shadows, their style is completely the opposite.

In the Battlefield of Ten Thousand Realms of the Blue Star system, there are unique arrays that can absorb all the Source Power of the deceased creatures in the battlefield to provide for the deities of the heavens.

Similarly, the Color Realm Celestial Human Dao plane also has such things. According to Lin Yi’s speculation, no matter which plane you are on, unless it is the plane of the highest deities, there should be arrays similar to the Battlefield of Ten Thousand Realms to gather Source Power.

Whether it is Bisite Planet or Aiven Planet, the upper echelons have all become aware of the role of Source Power collection. Most of the upper echelons believe that the brutal Law is the way of survival, and the principle of ’there are always people better than you, and heavens beyond heavens’ makes them understand that if they don’t follow the rules, they will inevitably attract punishment from the higher planes.

The struggle inherent in sameness cannot be eradicated, and wars between planets are unavoidable. It is understandable that the deities of the higher planes feast on these interests.

A minority of the upper echelons have a farther vision.

The deities of the higher planes can govern the Three Realms and Six Paths with an absolute ruling stance, relying on absolute power.

Yet the deities of the higher planes possessing absolute power still covet Source Power, indicating something: it shows that the Source Power contained in these weak individuals of the lower planes has extremely significant effects on enhancing strength.

Considering this, this small group of upper echelons proposed to study methods of how to collect and refine individual Source Power to enhance strength.

But this proposal was immediately rejected on these two planets.

Knowing the strength of the deities, most of the upper echelons are very respectful, knowing that everything has to be done by the book, and developing obediently is the right path.

After the proposal was rejected, the extremist faction lurking in the shadows emerged accordingly.

This force is called Dark Rising.

On their respective planets, they exist throughout various levels, collecting Source Power everywhere, even of living people, conducting insane experiments to extract Source Power.

Such actions naturally drew the attention of the official factions.

To prevent the official forces of their respective planets from discovering their existence, the different planetary Dark Rising Organizations colluded with each other.

Planet A goes to help Planet B with dirty work, Planet B helps Planet C with dirty work, and finally, Planet C solves the problems of Planet A, giving the non-compliant matters of their planets to outsiders, thus eliminating the suspicion of members of their planet’s Dark Rising Organization.

By exchanging plane travel credentials amongst the planets, they could easily accomplish this.

This time, Lin Yi took action upon receiving an invitation from Aiven Planet’s Dark Rising Organization to assist them in solving three rogue elements within their ranks.

”Our leader of Aiven Planet’s Dark Rising Organization told us that if the Source Power extraction experiment succeeds, we in Dark Rising can escape the plane of our home planet and ascend to a higher plane to become true gods.”

”This is all I know, Lin Yi, please spare me. I can pretend none of this ever happened today, and I won’t mention it to anyone. Please, let me go.”

The rebelliousness in Xinyan’s heart was something Lin Yi could clearly sense.

But Lin Yi didn’t mind, he had his ways of dealing with such a girl.

”Of course, no problem, but before you leave, there is one more thing I need to do.”

After saying that, Lin Yi used his Gravity Manipulation Skills to draw an experimental subject to his side, then gently placed his right hand on its belly and patted lightly, causing a glob of gray-green nauseating slime to be drawn out from within the experimental subject by Lin Yi.

”This is the essence blood of undead creatures; speaking of its toxicity, let’s put that aside first. With your strength, suppressing it won’t be a problem, but once this thing enters the body, it will start to corrode your skin.”

”Have you heard of toads? The kind of skin full of bumps, uneven and ugly, you must have seen it before. Once this stuff enters the body, if it doesn’t receive an antidote in time, the skin will start to develop in that direction.”

After Lin Yi finished speaking and before Xinyan’s mind could process and understand what Lin Yi intended to do next, he punched Xinyan in the stomach, making her doubt life while causing her to open her mouth wide in pain.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Lin Yi threw the filth in his hand into Xinyan’s mouth.

”You, you!”

Xinyan looked at Lin Yi in disbelief, her eyes filled with grievance, wishing she could tear him apart.

Were it not for the intense pain still coming from her abdomen, she would at least have cursed at Lin Yi.

”You know very well what you have in mind, and to make sure you behave yourself, I have no choice but to do this. As for the antidote, I will provide it in time before every flare-up, so you don’t have to worry about becoming an ugly freak.”

”As for this poison, don’t think anyone can cure it, you should have a good sense of my strength.”

”Let’s go, now take me to meet your superior, I want to discuss a big business deal with him.”

With her thoughts laid bare by Lin Yi, Xinyan’s confidence instantly vanished. Unable to fight back, and now poisoned, no matter how angry she was, she could only comply with Lin Yi’s demands.
