I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 551: Chapter 551: The Recognition of the Upper-Rank God and the Divine Artifact

Lin Yi was very clear.

An upper-rank god would not stay long on a lower-plane planet.

It’s true that Anubis is the god worshipped by the nation of pyramids, but is the nation of pyramids in this plane the only one worshipping Anubis?

This upper-plane god with the head of a jackal and a human body couldn’t possibly be his true form.

What Lin Yi was dealing with now was merely a divine sense of Anubis.

With just a divine sense, why should Lin Yi be overly fearful?

Indeed, confidence surfaced on Lin Yi’s face.

Then, at the center of his forehead, golden light suddenly appeared.

Endowed with endless divine power, the golden light gathered in front of Lin Yi into a trident with the force of ten thousand weights, which Lin Yi held in his hand.

The next moment, Poseidon’s trident pierced the ground, unleashing a powerful force of the Sea God.

The mighty waves emerged out of nowhere, centered on Lin Yi, breaking through everything around.

The moment that dazzling golden light and waves spread, the chilling air from hell was entirely expelled.

The force pulling Lin Yi was also instantly dismantled.

”Fortunate to have the Sea God’s favor, I fear Lord Anubis won’t be able to take me away today~”

Anubis and Poseidon belong to different pantheons, but both hold the same level within their respective systems.

That is to say, there might be some disparity in power between the two gods, but it is definitely not significant.

Poseidon’s trident is synonymous with Poseidon, embodying the supreme authority of the oceans, and its sea god power entirely eclipses the trace of divine power Anubis left on this plane.

Therefore, it was a foregone conclusion that Anubis’ divine sense could not capture Lin Yi.

Anubis indeed disliked arrogant individuals.

But if an arrogant person indeed possesses the capital for arrogance, that’s a different story.

As an upper-rank god, even a sliver of divine power can easily destroy the mightiest of lower planes, which rendered Anubis unable to find a lower-plane being worthy of genuine appreciation for thousands or even tens of thousands of years.

The war gods of Blue Star voluntarily withdrew, indeed.

But presenting a full mark answer meriting the Staff of Life before Anubis is no simple feat.

This is also why Anubis did not appear to offer Lin Yi a clearance tool when he was the only challenger left in the instance.

Completing the task is not as simple as answering a satisfactory question.

”Heh, human boy, you do have some skills!”

”Even capable of freely wielding that old chap Poseidon’s things!”

Divine artifacts are unlike ordinary weapons, the same goes for law-based tools.

To use a divine artifact, there are two methods.

Firstly, gods can freely use divine artifacts.

Secondly, obtaining a god’s recognition entitles one to wield the corresponding divine artifact.

The young one before me hasn’t even met the normal requirements for a war god, how could he be a god?

Therefore, with just one glance, Anubis discerned the reason and uttered these words with a sense of wonder.

Speaking of which, Anubis’ figure slowly revealed itself in Lin Yi’s view.

A creature with a dog’s head and human body dressed in garb akin to a pyramid nation’s priest, wielding a staff, appeared before Lin Yi.

”Boy, if you can leave your planet, do come to my plane. I wish to see how strong you’ll be then.”

After saying this, the staff in Anubis’ hand flew over toward Lin Yi.

Lin Yi’s pupils instantly contracted.

What Anubis threw was indeed a staff, that’s for sure.

But the power contained within the staff was extremely terrifying; Lin Yi could clearly feel it.

In Lin Yi’s eyes, the staff was no longer a staff, but the entire ground of Blue Star.

For a moment, Lin Yi even had the urge to dodge.

True, Lin Yi was confident in his abilities.

But he never imagined that he could catch the entirety of Blue Star’s land with his strength alone.

Looking at that force of ten thousand weights force coming at him, who wouldn’t feel fear?

Fortunately, Lin Yi quickly regained his composure.

What Anubis threw was undeniably not Blue Star’s entire land.

It was merely an ordinary magic staff!

Where the heart aims, be there a thousand or a hundred!

If lacking even the courage to face Anubis head-on, how could he continue his journey onward?

When ambition rises to the sky, that is when one becomes omnipotent!

Clarity of mind restored, the object Anubis threw also reverted to its original form.

Lin Yi activated the Reincarnation Law in his body to its utmost, then steadily caught the Staff of Life!

At the instant of contact, the power of life and death reincarnation was entirely within his control.

Lin Yi lowered his head, looking at the Staff of Life in his hand, his face filled with joy.

The long pure gold staff bore ancient, archaic inscriptions carved into it, and at the top of the staff, a withered claw held a black-and-white bead.

The Reincarnation Law, which had been at the harmonization level without signs of breakthrough, now showed signs of a gradual breakthrough.

”Hehe, boy, you are more outstanding than I imagined~”

”No wonder Poseidon could recognize you.”

At some point, only admiration remained in Anubis’ gaze toward Lin Yi.

Upon hearing this, Lin Yi absorbed the Staff of Life into his palm, transforming it into a vortex symbol.

The divine artifact was now within him, and the right to use it was in his hand!

”Junior is immensely grateful!”

Lin Yi cupped his hands, respectfully saluting Anubis.

Anubis did not concern himself with expressions of gratitude.

As an upper-rank god, he had long grown weary of the upper realms’ peacefulness.

The already established operating model of all heavens and myriads of worlds had endured for so many years that he had forgotten.

What dissatisfies him most is that the upper-rank gods in all heavens love to shove the tedious work of managing reincarnation assignments onto him.

As a god mastering the power of reincarnation, he has his unique perspective on life in all heavens and worlds.

The purpose of the Reincarnation Law is to correct forces not belonging to the normal world.

What upper-rank gods, what supreme deities? All nonsense.

Immortal existence is fundamentally an error!

There should be nothing eternal in this world!

It’s just a pity that Anubis’ power is insufficient to overturn long-established rules.

Like the mermaid princess Ariel, Anubis, to some extent, carries a rebellious spirit.

He hopes that one day, the child of destiny deciding the fate of the ten thousand realms will emerge from those lower-plane planets treated like livestock, making those self-proclaimed ruling gods of the heavens feel despair.

”Heh, weren’t you quite arrogant before, kid? Didn’t expect you to express thanks.”

”Forget the thanks. If you truly feel grateful, have a bout with this god. It’s been years since I’ve loosened my muscles. Use all your skills; don’t let this god be disappointed!”

As Anubis finished speaking, his figure turned into drifting yellow sand, dissipating between heaven and earth, utterly vanishing without a trace.
