I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 372: Chapter 372: Forced Deathmatch! The Unspoken Soul Suppressing Instance!

The effect of the All Heavens Destruction Set’s four-piece set: 0.01% of projectile damage becomes source damage.

Such a perverse effect could give Lin Yi considerable confidence.

But the Nibelungen dungeon does not allow failure.

Through the Wanchong Mountain, Lin Yi learned about the special mechanism of the Nibelungen dungeon.

Nibelungen is a Descent Abyss dungeon exclusive to the Dragon Race.

Humans or creatures of other races wishing to enter this dungeon must obtain the approval of the Dragon Race to do so.

Each dragon can team up with one teammate of any species.

Due to the plundering of the source of dragons, Xia has only Ao Xuan remaining.

This means that Lin Yi, this time, needs to face the entire Western Dragon Race and their Western Dragon Race teammates.

Furthermore, Ao Xuan’s condition is very poor, barely hanging on, and trying to carry such a teammate through this dungeon and reclaim the source of the Xia Dragon Race is as difficult as ascending to heaven.

Therefore, Lin Yi must enhance his strength as much as possible; the Fifth Transformation is probably far from enough.

Shenxiao, Job Transition Hall.

The arrival of Lin Yi attracted the attention of many.

However, before anyone could strike up a conversation, Lin Yi greeted the bespectacled girl at the front desk and directly entered a private job transition room.

Placing his hand on the job transition Spirit Crystal, the Fifth Transformation tasks immediately popped up.

[Peak Competition: Incomplete]

[Deeper into Descent Abyss: Completed]

[Hunt the Giant: Incomplete]

[Treasure Gathering: Incomplete]

Lin Yi’s Fifth Transformation task was only partially completed; the materials gathering task could be entrusted to the task team to achieve the top ranking. That would have to wait for Chu Xi’s return.

Considering the grand event at Nuwa Academy, he should be able to return.

As for killing a world BOSS above LV200, it can be completed on the 19th floor of Descent Abyss.

Thus, Lin Yi carefully examined his 19th-floor Descent Invitation, planning to check its configuration to see if there’s a target and make some strategies.

[19th Floor of Descent Abyss: Antebellum Canyon, Ghost Train]

As usual, Lin Yi opened the Shenxiao Forum and searched for the Ghost Train dungeon.

But this time, the generally all-knowing forum yielded no information about the Ghost Train.

Instead, it returned an unrelated 19th-floor dungeon: Beacon Array.

What the hell?

Might as well greet the principal and ask about the dungeon situation.

Having obtained the job transition tasks and set his plans, Lin Yi didn’t linger and left the Job Transition Hall resolutely.

A few minutes later, in the principal’s office at Nuwa Academy, an extremely sensual scene unfolded.

”No way, you cannot go to this dungeon!”

Principal Lan Ruoxi was rarely so agitated.

The beautiful principal slapped her desk, glaring down at the handsome young man in front of her, oblivious to the fact that the whiteness of her chest was almost hitting Lin Yi’s face. Her move made Lin Yi somewhat embarrassed.

A few minutes earlier, Lin Yi had arrived in Lan Ruoxi’s office and explained his Fifth Transformation task to her.

Lin Yi initially thought that since it was just a BOSS-killing task, it would be straightforward. Who would have expected Lan Ruoxi to react so dramatically?

”Lin Yi, you must have heard of people who can’t get past a particular layer in Descent Abyss in their entire lifetime, right?”

Such statements, Lin Yi had indeed heard of them.

Among the billions of professionals on Blue Star, there are always some poor souls who stop progressing forever.

The Descent Invitation invariably contains one or two freakishly difficult dungeons.

They not only max out the difficulty but also come with numerous restrictions.

Among all dungeons on the top fifty floors of Descent Abyss, the most challenging, even the most despair-inducing, is the 19th floor’s Ghost Train.

The entire 19th floor dungeon is divided into two parts.

One part belongs exclusively to mechanical modification professions: Beacon Array.

The difficulty of this dungeon is moderate.

Within the dungeon, a large number of Skill Transformation Books and materials can be dropped.

Basically, mechanical modification professions and gunners above the Seventh Transformation will form teams to raid this dungeon.

The other part is the most mysterious Yuanling Ocean.

The Yuanling Ocean contains exclusive soul monsters immune to all physical attacks and with near absurd magic resistance.

Its BOSS, Ghostly Blue, has reached the imperial rank.

The imperial rank itself is not despair-inducing; those with strong capabilities can still kill it.

But the deadly part is that this Ghost Train has outrageous restrictions: no team play, only solo runs, and the dungeon invitations only target those who haven’t completed the Fifth Transformation.

Professionals who haven’t completed the Fifth Transformation are capped at level 180.

While the BOSS Ghostly Blue has a frightening level of 600.

For a professional at only level 180, soloing a BOSS of this level is tantamount to suicide.

Moreover, the Ghost Train is a dungeon unknown to many professionals, by default a Soul Suppressing level dungeon.

Why is it unknown?

Whenever a junior brings up this dungeon, sensible seniors will advise: ”Don’t ask, it’s best if you never know about this dungeon in your life.”

Gradually, the 19th floor of Descent Abyss was assumed to be a mechanical modification or gunner-exclusive Beacon Array dungeon.

Meanwhile, the Ghost Train faded out of professionals’ sight.

Hearing about the Ghost Train dungeon left Lin Yi suddenly understanding why no information about it could be found on the forum.

It turns out it was submerged along with the word Soul Suppressing level.

So, for nearly a hundred years, was he, Lin Yi, the only unlucky chap in Shenxiao?

”No worries, dear principal, if I can’t clear it, I’ll just exit the dungeon.”

At this moment, Lin Yi still hadn’t realized the gravity of the situation.

He hadn’t realized why after clearing a Soul Suppressing level dungeon last time, he and his teammates, along with all Xia professionals in area A1, received at least S-level rewards. (At the Nuwa Academy celebration, there would be acknowledgments from the Xia Professional Alliance)

”Oh? Lin Yi, you should think it through carefully.”

”LV200 or higher BOSS in the imperial rank or above can be found with some effort; you don’t have to take the risk.”

”But this dungeon invite you’re holding, if something goes wrong, not even the principal can save you.”

”Soul Suppressing level dungeons have one restriction you might not know, which Lingxi War God didn’t tell you.”

”One of the restrictions is mandatory death battle!”

What on earth?

About half an hour later, Lin Yi walked out of the principal’s office.

The ease and joy earlier had vanished.

In its place was a heavy gloom.

Death battle, is it?

No wonder Cheng Xiao only had two Tara Stones.

Was it that he, Cheng Xiao, was unqualified to farm Soul Suppressing level dungeons?

No, as a War God, he surely possessed the capability.

At worst, if he couldn’t solo it, the twenty-four Xia War Gods could have raided it, right?

Heh, no wonder this thing is such a hot potato in my hands.

There wasn’t a single exaggerated word in Cheng Xiao’s remarks.

Tara Stone—the exclusive yield of Soul Suppressing level difficulty dungeons.

And Soul Suppressing level dungeons have a mandatory death battle attribute; you either clear it or die inside the dungeon.

War Gods are powerful indeed, but not a single one is absolutely free, for they’re bound by the nation.

The increase or decrease in the number of War Gods greatly impacts a nation’s combat power.

If a Soul Suppressing level dungeon raid fails, it would be devastating to a nation.

But should Lin Yi run away?

LV200, imperial rank BOSS isn’t hard to kill, and he could take some time to find one, but the 19th-floor dungeon, he can’t avoid it!

The Fifth Transformation task can be completed through other means.

But once Lin Yi completes the Fifth Transformation task, can he still enter the Ghost Train dungeon?

He is unsure! He dares not gamble!

Once an invitation is confirmed, it cannot be altered, and failing to clear the dungeon invitation in hand means no further progress in Descent Abyss, being stopped forever.

Moreover, high risk often comes with high reward.

The Ghost Train dungeon is indeed terrifying, but a Soul Suppressing level reward could bring a qualitative change in his strength.

This is exactly what he needs in the Nibelungen!
