I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 256: Chapter 256: Claiming Rewards, the Epic Star Realm Wanderer Set!

”Additionally, there’s one most important thing you all must remember.”

”The Sky Tower trial doesn’t result in true death. If you fail the challenge, are killed by a monster, or choose to give up, you’ll be directly transported back to the rest area on the 100th floor.”

”And you have the opportunity to start the challenge again from the 99th floor next time, but if the level you reach is not as deep as the last time—”

”Then your opportunities to enter the trial tower in this life are exhausted.”

”For the unlucky, it equates to having only 2 chances to participate in the trial in a lifetime.”

”For those with strength, as long as you can keep refreshing your best record, you can continue to participate in the trial.”

At this point, Lin Yi basically understood the mechanism of the Inverted Sky Tower.

It’s somewhat similar to a roguelike game.

Each challenge is random.

The difficulty Cheng Xiao mentioned doesn’t lie in the trial itself but in the choices.

He had this experience as well.

It’s about deciding whether to continue exploring to gain more soul cores or settle for what you have and return to the rest floor for identification.

This is the first choice.

If you continue exploring and the unexpected happens ahead, leading to failure, you might not even get the guaranteed soul core, wasting a chance to pass the level.

If you decide to settle for what you have and return to the 100th floor, and the soul cores given are trash, it’s essentially a wasted chance to pass as well.

What really makes it hard to decide is starting from the second passage of trials.

There’s an additional factor to consider.

That is, if you can’t reach levels deeper than before, this is your last chance to pass the trial.

What’s most heart-wrenching is, during the trial, it offers you an additional opportunity to pre-identify the soul cores.

But the cost is forgoing the random beneficial effects.

Don’t think this choice is merciful.

For normal people, without those beneficial states, it’s very possible they won’t even have the chance to get another soul core, and they’ll die midway.

Everyone fell into contemplation.

They’re not stupid.

Naturally, they realized how much they have to think about on this journey of passing through the trial.

”Alright, that’s all the rules and points to note.”

”I believe you should all understand. If not, I’m not responsible for answering, you’ll all know once you go inside.”

After saying these, Cheng Xiao was also dry-mouthed.

He took a sip of water and then, as if suddenly recalling something, he looked at Lin Yi.

Lastly said: ”Oh, you don’t need to bother with so much.”

”Just try your best to break through the levels, and directly forgo the soul cores given by the bosses ahead.”

”Because a person who passes the bottom of the tower, which is the 1st floor, gets a chance to choose a Mythical Grade soul core.”

Lin Yi was taken aback.

Then he looked at Cheng Xiao with some resentment.

You could have told me earlier!

Just now Lin Yi’s CPU was almost smoking, and he hasn’t even entered the tower, yet he was calculating how to best utilize this pass-through mechanism.

The most cost-effective method he thought of was to start from the 90th floor and choose to return to the 100th floor for soul core identification every time.

Anyway, for him, passing to the 89th floor shouldn’t be difficult.

And keep iterating, continuously passing, continuously trial-and-error.

This kind of passing mode requires spending a lot of time and if the strength is not strong enough, or the monsters in the tower are too monstrous, lacking in crucial beneficial states.

It would collapse.

Turning this most cost-effective passing strategy into the dumbest passing strategy.

Now it’s fine.

No need to think too much.

You just need to dash down with your eyes closed.

The others heard this and all looked at Lin Yi with eyes full of envy.

A self-selected Mythical Grade soul core!

The Inverted Sky Tower is like this, Lin Yi just needs to close his eyes and pass to the 1st floor, while they have much more to think about.

”Alright, that’s it, I wish you all can obtain your martial souls.”

”Oh, after you enter the tower tomorrow, there might be a surprise waiting for you.”

Having said this, Cheng Xiao waved his hand.

The figure disappeared.

Afterwards, Zhao Enquan dismissed the others, leaving only Lin Yi.

”The event organizers just informed me that no one objected to your claim of the MVP of the team competition.”

”So your rewards have been prepared.”

”Let’s go, I’ll take you to claim them.”

Zhao Enquan led Lin Yi to the core area of Penglai Arena.

”Contestant Lin Yi, this is the platinum card from the World Bank containing your 200 million world currency cash reward, the initial password is six sixes, you can contact our finance department later if you want to change it.”

”Then there are ten Star Diamond Scrolls worth 5000 skill points each, take a look.”

Lin Yi took the platinum card.

Also received ten Star Diamond Skill Point Scrolls.

This was the first time Lin Yi saw such high-value skill point scrolls.

The whole scroll was dazzling with starlight, seemingly valuable.

This is currently the ultimate scroll on Blue Star that can store the most tradeable skill points.

At Xia Trading House, each piece is an auction-grade treasure.

And according to market trends, the transaction prices are all in the millions.

These items are what those top families who don’t lack money use for a force-feeding approach to power up their younger generations.

”Then there are the rewards you need to select.”

”Including 2 pieces of equipment below epic level, and 2 wishes you’d like us to fulfill for you.”

”These two wishes include all categories of super rare materials, legendary-level equipment, or any other requests we can fulfill, we will do our utmost to satisfy.”

”Here is the list of selectable equipment.”

The staff handed the Spirit Crystal Projector in front of Lin Yi.

The light screen emitted by this thing is interactive in real-time.

Anyway, operating it isn’t much different from a tablet, though initially Lin Yi found it unaccustomed without the real tactile feedback.

But after being in Shenxiao for so long, even when choosing items from the treasury, it’s done using this, now he’s quite proficient.

His fingers constantly tapped on the light screen.

Currently, what he’s most lacking is a set of jewelry.

The set he was wearing now, the Eternal Rest set, should definitely be replaced with the Annihilation of All Heavens set.

So, the missing jewelry set needs completion.

He adjusted the filter mode to jewelry while ticking the set option and adding his current level.

Soon, a string of filter results appeared before Lin Yi.

Lin Yi was dazzled.

Epic gear is already very good.

Not only does the set’s effect need careful consideration, but the attributes and special effects provided by individual pieces also need to be deliberated.

The staff and Zhao Enquan were patient.

They didn’t rush Lin Yi.

Until more than ten minutes later, Lin Yi himself felt a bit embarrassed.

”Um...”

”There are too many of them, I’m having trouble seeing them all at once, can I take them back to look slowly tonight?”

The staff smiled, ”Of course.”

”After selecting, just dial our asset department’s number 0326 from your room phone; there’s no need to come here personally.”

”We’ll arrange a delivery for you.”

...

At two in the morning.

Lin Yi yawned.

The Spirit Crystal light screen in his hand still glowed faintly.

In the favorites section on the right, Lin Yi had already added more than a dozen potential jewelry set equipment.

But he was truly sleepy.

He still needed to get up early to go to the Sky Tower tomorrow.

Just when Lin Yi was planning to review them tomorrow and get some sleep tonight,

a piece of equipment named ”Star Realm Wanderer Necklace” appeared in front of him.

In the next moment, Lin Yi was completely refreshed.

This is it!

The set effect is just too fitting for me!
