I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 215: Chapter 215: Round of 16 Begins! Increased Rewards!

Quickly, Lin Yi dismissed the thought.

Nangong Ling wouldn’t be pulling such a prank without reason; maybe he was overthinking.

Upon clicking the link, Lin Yi discovered it was the official website for the Pan-Asian Youth Professional Peak Competition.

On the homepage, above the announcement about placing him in the top 16, there was a new announcement.

”Announcement on Additional Rewards for the Individual and Team Champions of This Peak Competition”

Lin Yi sharply caught the word ”reward.”

Hmm?

Wasn’t the competition’s reward supposed to be entry into the Trial Tower?

Anything else?!

Clicking in, Lin Yi’s fingers scrolled all the way down to the main point at the bottom.

”The champion of the individual competition will receive a chance to fulfill a wish.”

”The champion can specify a piece of equipment or a certain material, a particular skill book, etc., which the event organizers will grant freely.”

”The MVP of the team competition will also have a wish-granting opportunity.”

Lin Yi’s eyes lit up.

Just a moment ago, he was worried about where to find materials to upgrade the Ancient Forbidden Curse.

The next moment, the event officials seemed to hand him a pillow as he was about to nap.

Lin Yi felt he was truly favored by fortune.

Otherwise, how else could such coincidences happen?

”I’m green with envy!”

”This has never happened before!”

”I hear if you really win the championship, you can wish for anything, whether it’s a mythic piece of equipment or material, and the event organizers will find someone powerful to get it for you!”

”You’ve hit the jackpot, junior!”

”Those flimsy contenders shouldn’t withstand a Forbidden Curse from you, right?”

Lin Yi returned a simple nod.

He’s set on winning both the championship and the team competition MVP!

Lin Yi replaced all the skills embedded in the three slots.

His attributes increased immensely once more.

At the same time, the damage of his finger flicking attack rose significantly.

The round of 16 is no longer differentiated between high and low groups.

There’s no mention of disabling skills or equipment bans anymore.

It’s going to be a full display of strength!

...

Two days passed quietly.

On the morning of the fifth competition day.

As dawn broke, the Penglai Island arena was already packed with crowds, and the crowd outside the venue was packed and impenetrable with spectators from various countries.

”Dear audience friends, after four days of eliminations, the 16 strong contenders for the final individual competition have emerged!”

”Before introducing the 16 entrants, allow me to introduce our special panel of judges for this new stage!”

”Please welcome the Deputy Chairman of the Xia Professional Alliance Army Military Committee, the Executive Deputy Director of the Xia Education Bureau, Mr. Meng Yuanzhou!”

In the lounge, Lin Yi’s eyes lit up.

Mr. Meng?

He didn’t expect Mr. Meng to be here.

Before, Lin Yi only knew Mr. Meng held a high status and power but never imagined he was so influential.

Via the broadcast screen, he saw on the second floor of the Penglai Island arena, in the Xia judges’ seat, Mr. Meng walked out from the behind the stage, approaching as he was introduced.

However, beside him was a gentle and elegant young man, who kept his eyes squinted, maintaining a faint smile.

This squinted-eyed man seemed to sense something and turned his head towards Lin Yi.

Lin Yi was startled.

Remember, he was currently watching the top 16 competition’s opening ceremony through a Spirit Crystal screen.

He wasn’t on-site seeing Mr. Meng and this squinted-eye youth.

But Lin Yi was certain this squinted-eye was indeed looking at him.

He even saw him slightly nod towards him!

What the hell!

What kind of Insight is this?

”Next, please welcome the second chief judge from Xia, Lingxi War God, Mr. Cheng Xiao!”

As Ah Liang finished speaking, the squinted-eye youth in the camera waved to the audience in the venue.

He appeared without any pomp of a War God.

Instead, he seemed very approachable.

Lin Yi understood.

No wonder this squinted-eye could ”see” him with such a strange perspective.

Perhaps in Cheng Xiao’s eyes as a War God, he’s viewing not people, but ”existence” itself.

”Next, please welcome from East Japan’s Celestial Principle Pavilion, Defense Minister Mr. Nakamura Hideyuki!”

”And Ms. Hayakawa Tomoko!”

The two high officials from East Japan appeared, Lin Yi’s gaze sharpened.

He could sense these two were also extremely strong.

They should be like Meng Yuanzhou, Ninth Transformation professionals, but not yet at the War God level.

So far, Xia has 24 War Gods.

East Japan has 11.

The two War Gods who previously chased Wanchong Mountain are probably nursing their wounds right now.

With the sinking of Wind Rope and Thunder Islands, East Japan might be busy with their situation and naturally didn’t send War God-level figures to witness the final rounds of this competition.

Meanwhile, Goryeo also sent two representatives, equally strong in the Ninth Transformation.

Then other countries’ judges participating in the competition, also began appearing on stage.

Curry Country’s representative, naturally, was their foreign minister, Lakuri.

Though unlike other countries’ judges who appeared with grandeur.

Lakuri remained frowning throughout.

Speaking of eliminations, Curry Country undoubtedly suffered the most.

There’s now one dead and two severely injured.

The subsequent team competition faces inherent disadvantages.

Thus, Lakuri might wish to shred Lin Yi to pieces!

”After entering the round of 16, our competition rules have had minor changes to share with you all.”

”The prohibition rules and home-field advantage rules from the elimination stage will no longer apply in the following matches.”

”Moreover, all competitors, except for banned cheating methods, can now use various means to strengthen themselves, including mutual aid among teammates, and using concoctions.”

”There won’t be a draw in any match; if both competitors fall simultaneously, lose the ability to fight, our three chief judges, 12 assistant judges, and various national judges present will assess their performance to determine the winner.”

”After each match, our professional judges will provide evaluations and suggestions for the competing players.”

”Rarely do they get guided by Ninth Transformation experts and War Gods; hopefully, all competitors will display their prowess!”

”That concludes the rule introductions, now, let’s invite our three chief judges to draw lots!”

”The matchup table for the 16 competitors will soon be announced!”

In Xia team’s lounge.

Zhao Enquan crossed his arms, appearing tense.

According to the competition rules, both individual and team events will allocate five Trial Tower entry slots.

The top three in the individual competition secure three slots.

As for the remaining two slots, they are determined by the national team’s overall ranking points from all members in the individual competition.

The team with more accumulated points wins 2 slots.

The remaining five slots are exclusively for the champion team in the team competition.

Currently, within the Xia Team, apart from the captain Lin Yi, only five others have reached the top 16.

This already marks an outstanding 10 to 6 progress for the entire team among all national teams.

Yet Zhao Enquan isn’t satisfied.

Because this means they’re more likely to compete against each other internally.

Once internal conflict happens, someone is destined to stop at the top 16, and the ranking points would naturally decline.

”Draw good lots...”

”Draw good lots!”
