I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 206: Chapter 206: How Can Anyone BAN Someone’s Basic Attack?

Ah?

Zhao Enquan was dumbfounded.

The other nine who heard the conversation between Lin Yi and Zhao Enquan were also stunned.

An instant cast, seemingly without ballistic limitation, a skill that could obliterate the opponent with the snap of a finger.

Is it a basic attack type skill without any restrictions or costs?!

Damn!

It’s too defying!

How can other professionals play?

Thud thud!

The door of the lounge was knocked again.

Several people in the tournament organizing committee uniforms, with work badges, pushed the door open and entered.

The leader looked at Lin Yi and spoke: ”Contestant Lin Yi, there’s a middle bracket contestant who has once again initiated a mandatory battle against you.”

”According to the tournament rules, you have 20 minutes of rest time, please follow us for pre-match inspection procedures in 10 minutes.”

After speaking, the staff members nodded at Zhao Enquan and left.

After watching them leave, Guan Xingwu, who was closest in age to Lin Yi and had the most exchanges with him in the past few days, said in surprise: ”With such terrifying performance from the captain, there’s still someone daring to challenge him?”

Guo Yinglong pursed his lips, gesturing everyone to look at the big screen: ”It’s another person from Curry Country challenging, it seems he has a brotherly relationship with Di Rang.”

On the big screen, Lin Yi’s matchup information has already been refreshed.

However, according to consecutive battle rest rules, it’s placed to the third match behind.

But the opponent’s information is visible to everyone.

[Baric Salin vs Lin Yi]

Di Rang, who was previously killed by Lin Yi, had the surname Salin following him as well.

Who would’ve thought a team from Curry Country would have a pair of brothers.

No wonder this brother named Baric lost his mind and dared to challenge Lin Yi.

His younger brother’s bones were all shattered, with no good flesh left, lying in the hospital in critical condition, and the treatment expenses were astronomical.

How could he not be angry?

”Lin Yi, get ready, you’ll have to do pre-match inspection later.”

”This Baric challenges you again, not just to avenge his brother, he probably thinks you can’t use that finger-snapping skill frequently.”

”Or perhaps, during the pre-match phase, they might choose to directly ban that skill of yours.”

Lin Yi, upon hearing this, asked in confusion: ”Mr. Zhao, this skill banning rule, I haven’t had the chance to look at it, can you tell me about it?”

”Also, I’m currently in the low bracket, will I move up to the high bracket later?”

Zhao Enquan slapped his leg, pulled out a rulebook issued by the tournament and handed it to Lin Yi: ”Blame my pig brain, I forgot to give you the rulebook.”

”But you don’t have time to read it slowly now, I’ll explain the elimination rounds rules clearly, both your questions will have answers.”

”The entire elimination round lasts for 4 days, 20 people will be eliminated each day for the first three days, if the elimination target is not met, the competition won’t end.”

”On the last day, 24 people will be eliminated, determining the final 16 who will enter the last phase.”

”As for the grouping issue, according to this year’s new rules, once the groups are determined, there’s no possibility of moving from the low bracket to the high bracket during elimination rounds.”

”The organizing committee is intentionally widening the gap between the three brackets, raising the importance of the grouping match.”

”But it’s possible to drop from the high bracket to the low bracket; just lose once and you’ll drop, and if you lose once in the low bracket, you’ll be directly eliminated.”

”However, the low bracket won’t always be a hopeless situation; once you win 3 times, you’ll have the authority to actively challenge others.”

”Regarding the skill banning rules, players entering the low bracket with 0 victories carry 3 banning slots, while mid and high bracket players can use these slots when facing you.”

”Entering with 1 victory results in only 2 slots in the low bracket.”

”You’ll gain an extra banning slot with every match you win; currently, you actually have 4 banning slots.”

”Banning slots can not only ban skills but also ban equipment, offering great flexibility.”

Lin Yi finally understood why it was said high bracket players have a significant advantage.

The elimination round only sees high bracket players compete starting from the third day.

During the previous two days of fierce competition, a large number of mid bracket players will definitely fall to the low bracket, and their signature skills will undoubtedly be exposed.

Then, those high bracket players who have essentially rested and sharpened themselves for two days can specifically research and pick their opponents, banning their skills and equipment.

Thus achieving victory in every battle.

”I understand.”

Lin Yi nodded, very grateful for Zhao Enquan’s explanation.

”As per past practices, most players who fall into the low bracket, even if they have a comeback, only sustain it for two or three times at most.”

”There’s really never been anyone who battled from 0 wins in the low bracket directly into the top 16; a most realistic scenario is that as the rounds increase, banning slots might grow to seven or eight, even breaking through to 10.”

”Most professionals possess two or three skills advanced to high levels, specialized, with such restriction, their combat power would significantly decrease.”

Zhao Enquan voiced his concern.

Lin Yi chuckled: ”Mr. Zhao, rest assured.”

”Even if they get 20 banning slots, they can’t BAN all my skills.”

...

The 20 minutes passed quickly.

As Lin Yi took the stage once again.

The audience from Xia gave an incredibly warm applause and cheers!

Standing opposite Lin Yi, a tall and thin player appeared, lightly equipped, carrying a compound bow on his back.

Baric had a grim expression; he and his brother Di Rang differ greatly in appearance, often looking as if they weren’t real siblings.

But their relationship is very good.

With his brother’s life on the line, he didn’t bother about much, choosing to challenge Lin Yi directly again.

”You Xia kid, how dare you beat my brother like that!”

”I’ll make you pierced by thousands of arrows!”

Faced with Baric’s provocation, Lin Yi calmly replied: ”He still owes me over a hundred lives.”

”Are you here to repay them for him?”

Baric.

Clearly irritated by Lin Yi’s retort.

But he isn’t like Di Rang, a hothead who becomes enraged easily.

”Your skill is indeed strong.”

”But you probably can’t use it now, right?”

Baric’s eyes were sunken, his vulture-like gaze fixed on Lin Yi.

”However, for safety’s sake, I’d better disable your skill!”

Baric sneered evilly.

”Referee, I want to use my middle bracket player’s banning privileges!”

”I want to ban his [Snap Finger] skill, and also his skill called [Gravity Field]!”

”Finally, I want to ban his weapon!”

”And any one piece of equipment he’s wearing!”

He is very cautious.

Since he has the advantage, he wants to exploit it to the fullest!

Lin Yi’s four banning slots were all utilized by him.

Baric looked mockingly at Lin Yi.

Really wanting to see a hint of panic on Lin Yi’s face.

However, he also noticed an expression almost identical to his own on Lin Yi’s face.

Lin Yi felt amused.

How could someone really BAN a player’s basic attack?
