Chapter 350: Chapter 349: The Beginning of Battle, the Frail Little Loli

As the Inspector of the True Martial Hall, Su Yun knows some secrets.

Once, the True Martial Hall created a Black Armor Army!

Wherever the Black Armor Army went, it was invincible, striking terror in the alien races.

However, three thousand years ago, an ancient battle shook the heavens and earth, leaving the sun and moon dark, and the Black Armor Army was utterly defeated.

The impact of that battle on the True Martial Hall was devastating, causing countless internal upheavals. It took the True Martial Hall three thousand years to finally catch its breath!

Since that battle, the Black Armor Army has become a forbidden topic within the True Martial Hall.

Even many inspectors of the True Martial Hall don’t know that such an army once existed. Outside, only some very ancient forces have fragments of tales about the Black Armor Army but dare not mention them publicly.

The words Ye Chen just spoke...

were precisely the military slogan of the Black Armor Army before each expedition!

”Ye Chen.”

Su Yun softly called out.

Ye Chen snapped back to reality and realized his own lapse, intending to find an excuse to cover it up.

But Su Yun said: ”Perform well later, do not disappoint me.”

”Yes, Inspector Su, I will give my all to kill the alien races!” Ye Chen solemnly replied.

Regarding some matters of the Black Armor Army, now is not the time to reveal them. One must ensure that a certain person is entirely trustworthy before disclosing them!

Next, Su Yun led the crowd to inspect another village.

Like the first village, all the villagers were horribly killed.

The heads and some organs of the villagers became the trophies that the alien races used for celebration and display!

The flesh and blood of the villagers became the food the alien races cooked!

Someone cried out, saying: ”Inspector Su... I... I give up!”

Su Yun’s face displayed a faint trace of disappointment, but she did not try to persuade them to stay. She shouted: ”If anyone else wants to give up, speak up now!”

Proposing to give up now is merely disappointing; it’s better to filter them out without regret.

If someone cannot even accept such scenes, truly joining the True Martial Hall would be disastrous. On the battlefield, one person’s weakness might lead to a total defeat, affecting the entire situation!

Subsequently, a few more people lowered their heads and spoke in muddled voices, expressing their wish to give up.

In the end.

Only nine people remained unshaken.

Among them was Liao Qing, who had a Unity Realm Cultivation, and another woman named Lu Feiyu from the Unity Realm.

What surprised Ye Chen was that the frail young girl who first vomited continued to persist!

This frail young girl had large eyes, wore two pigtails, and her round face had a hint of cute baby fat.

Her Martial Dao cultivation realm was merely at the initial entry of the Primordial Embryo Realm, with an extremely unstable fluctuation of elemental energy on her body, clearly elevated abruptly. She cried until her eyes were swollen due to the earlier scene.

As for her name... Ye Chen didn’t pay much attention during the heart examination, and forgot what she was called, only remembering that the girl’s purpose for joining the True Martial Hall seemed to be to avenge her parents.

Su Yun’s gaze swept over the nine people and said: ”The alien race this time, we call Green Ghosts, are skilled in stealth, assassination, and speed. They are hiding within a thirty-mile radius. In three days, you must find all these aliens, leaving none behind!

You nine will rest for half an hour first to recover from the exhaustion of the journey. After half an hour, the combat assessment begins.”

Having witnessed two villages slaughtered by the alien races, everyone dared not take it lightly, quickly finding a place to rest and adjust their state.

Ye Chen sat cross-legged, operating his cultivation technique.

Although the journey’s cost to him was minimal, the upcoming battle would undoubtedly be very brutal, so he cannot afford to be careless.

The nine people preparing for the assessment were not far apart, and some of them did not immediately sit cross-legged but approached Liao Qing and Lu Feiyu.

These two were in the Unity Realm, powerful in strength. If they could act with either one of them, they would naturally receive some support, significantly reducing the risk factor.

However, Lu Feiyu clearly had no plan to act with anyone, rejecting all offers to join up, silently sitting on the ground practicing her cultivation.

With this, Liao Qing accepted the proposal of five people to join forces, making six including himself.

The young girl with the pigtails walked up to Liao Qing’s team.

But before the girl could speak, someone said: ”Sorry, we don’t need burdens on this side.”

With pursed lips, the pigtail girl wiped her eyes once again and walked aside in sadness. She looked at Lu Feiyu, who clearly would not act together, and then looked at Ye Chen, who was only in the Primordial Embryo Realm...

The girl’s hand wiped away tears, biting her lip, her expression became determined, she found a place to sit down and began operating her technique.

Liao Qing, surrounded by five people, displayed a proud and cocky look, saying faintly: ”Everyone can rest assured. By following me, I will ensure our safety and strive for our team to secure four spots!”

The implication was clear; besides Lu Feiyu, neither Ye Chen nor the pigtail girl stood a chance!

”Brother Liao, rest assured, once the assessment starts, we will do our utmost to cooperate with you.”

”Joining the True Martial Hall is all about strength. Saying empty words, no matter how beautifully, is meaningless.”

”Exactly, dealing with alien races relies on strength. If mere words could handle them, would Martial Artists and Spirit Masters be needed? Might as well send a group of frail scholars to reason with them.”

Due to Xu Tianlong from the Ten Thousand Beasts Sect, Liao Qing and Ye Chen had already had some conflict, so these people, having embraced Liao Qing, naturally tried their best to please him.

After all, counting Liao Qing, there were six people on his side, and one spot was already destined to be Lu Feiyu’s from the Unity Realm. Even if the six of them secured all the remaining four spots, two would still be eliminated.

It all depends on who can properly flatter Liao Qing!

Listening to these flattering words, Liao Qing seemed even more pleased.

He glanced at Ye Chen, a disdainful sneer appeared at the corner of his mouth.

As long as Ye Chen cannot secure a position among the top five in killing the alien races, all his previous boasts will become jokes.

Thinking of the words Ye Chen used to dismiss him earlier, Liao Qing clenched his fist in his sleeve, inwardly muttering: ”Ye Chen, just wait and see, soon you’ll be kneeling before me begging through tears!”

After half an hour.

The dim sky had brightened.

On the horizon, a streak of white light gradually emerged.

Inspector Su Yun flew over from afar, floating in the air, and called out: ”The combat assessment officially begins, move out!”

With Su Yun’s words, Lu Feiyu was the first to rise, ignoring everyone and darting away.

Ye Chen also chose a direction at random and set off.

Liao Qing led five people and ventured forth.

In an instant, only the frail young girl with the pigtails remained.

Su Yun looked at the girl, sighed, and said: ”Qingqing, don’t push yourself too hard.”

The girl pursed her lips and shook her head, saying: ”Inspector Su, the Mu Family has stood by the True Martial Hall to resist alien races for generations. I must overcome my inner obstacles and honor my surname!”

After saying that, the frail young girl, with determined eyes, chose a direction and proceeded.
