Supreme Sword God

Chapter 279: Chapter 278: Storming the Imperial Palace, the Sin Dragon Appears!

”Cough!”

At this moment.

A coughing sound rang out.

Ye Chen and Hua Qianxue were both startled.

”Teacher.”

Hua Qianxue slightly lowered her head, nervously calling out.

”Teacher.”

Ye Chen looked at the suddenly appearing Yang Tianji, feeling quite frustrated. He had long guessed that Teacher Yang Tianji or Dean Ouyang Shang had also come to Jiulong City, so he wasn’t surprised at this moment.

But... why now of all times? Ye Chen was even thinking of cutting someone!

Yang Tianji nodded and said, ”Qian Xue, your parents are here looking for you, you should go back first.”

”Yes, teacher.” Hua Qianxue replied and then turned, swiftly departing.

Without looking back.

Ye Chen felt even more frustrated. Hmph, women, so heartless!

Yang Tianji looked at Ye Chen and said, ”This matter, do not involve the Hua Family any further.”

”I understand, teacher.” Ye Chen actually knew very well in his heart that Hua Qianxue was taking a great risk staying with him now. A storm was brewing under the night sky of Jiulong City, and if Hua Qianxue continued to be involved, the Hua Family would not escape unscathed either.

Yang Tianji said, ”The original intention of letting you come to Jiulong City to participate in the martial arts competition was to hone your skills. Now it seems, the result is quite satisfactory.

Originally, when the Prime Minister’s Mansion made its move, Dean Ouyang and I had other arrangements, but you handled it in your own way. Although it disrupted some plans, it does not affect much.”

”Teacher, the power behind the sword that killed Yan Song came from the fragment space of the ancient battlefield where the martial arts competition was held.” This was not a secret that couldn’t be told, so Ye Chen directly explained it.

Yang Tianji smiled and said, ”This is your fortune. If you can use this to connect with the True Martial Hall, it would be a good thing for you.”

Ye Chen nodded; it seemed that Yang Tianji and the others already knew about the secret of the ancient battlefield’s fragment space.

”Teacher, what should I do next?” Ye Chen asked.

”What you could do, you have done. Next, just follow me to a place.”

”Where?”

”The Imperial Palace.”

Ye Chen’s eyes flickered, and he asked, ”Teacher, entering the palace, are we going to kill someone?”

”Yes and no, let’s go.”

In the next moment.

A gentle force swept from Yang Tianji’s body, and the two of them disappeared.

......

In front of the main hall of the Imperial Palace.

A group of senior officials was kneeling on the plaza in front of the hall, each face filled with grief and anger.

”Emperor Zhou, Ye Chen of the Cangxing Martial Arts Academy has no regard for the law. If this child is not eliminated today, he will inevitably cause a great disaster in the future!”

”Prime Minister Yan was the chief assistant of the court, devoted all these years to the country and the people. If Ye Chen, who killed the Prime Minister, is not severely punished, where will the majesty of our Great Zhou Dynasty be? Who will dare to be loyal to the country in the future?!”

”In my opinion, Ye Chen’s actions must have been secretly instructed by the Cangxing Martial Arts Academy. The academy thinks it can be arrogant because it has two legendary figures. Such actions absolutely cannot be tolerated. We urge Emperor Zhou to order the execution of Ye Chen, to disband the Cangxing Martial Arts Academy, and to execute its high-ranking officials to appease the spirit of the Prime Minister in heaven and to reassure the people of the Great Zhou Dynasty!”

”Emperor Zhou, if this continues, the nation will become no longer a nation, and the consequences will be endless!”

These people were speaking one after another, their voices passionate and stirring!

However.

The doors to the main hall remained tightly closed.

The Emperor Zhou they were hoping to hear from uttered not a word.

At this moment.

From above the plaza, the space shattered.

Yang Tianji, accompanied by Ye Chen, took a step out and landed before these people.

The group instantly stood up, their faces showing extreme anger.

”Yang Tianji, as a legendary powerhouse, you entered the Capital City without reporting, are you planning a rebellion?!”

”Sure enough, Ye Chen killed Prime Minister Yan, it seems you, Yang Tianji, were the one secretly instructing! Do you really think that just because you are a legendary figure, you can act recklessly? This is the Capital City of the Great Zhou Dynasty, this is Jiulong City, this is not a place for even a legendary powerhouse to cause trouble!”

”Where is the Dragon Guard? Quickly surround and capture Yang Tianji and Ye Chen!”

Ye Chen looked at Yang Tianji.

He was eager to see how his teacher would deal with these people.

The people before him, Ye Chen did not recognize a single one, but their being able to kneel here seeking an audience with Emperor Zhou meant each of them held significant weight in the imperial court.

Yang Tianji wore a placid expression, a faint smile on his face, and said, ”Since you are so loyal to the treacherous Prime Minister Yan, then go accompany him.”

As his words fell.

A terrifying force suddenly erupted from Yang Tianji’s body.

Immediately after.

The group of senior officials turned to ashes!

Ye Chen was astonished.

His teacher, truly domineering!

”Clang clang!”

The sound of armor clashing rang out, as a large group of Dragon Guards charged forth.

But at this moment, a voice came from within the tightly closed hall.

”Withdraw, Ye Chen killed Prime Minister Yan, Elder Yang killed the ministers, for they rid the Great Zhou of harm.”

With these words.

The Dragon Guard soldiers who were charging orderly retreated.

Yang Tianji turned, looking toward the tightly closed doors, and said, ”Emperor Zhou, since I’m here, won’t you meet me?”

”I am weary, Elder Yang may come again tomorrow.”

Yang Tianji faintly smiled, and in the next moment, his body radiated brilliance. A magnificent Great Sun and a bright Bright Moon rose from within him, hanging in the sky above the Imperial Palace.

The light of the sun and moon illuminated the entire Kyoto Jiu Long City, turning it into a scene of brightness.

”Boom, boom!”

With loud rumblings, from all directions of Jiulong City, vast and mighty forces burst forth, connecting together to form a giant light curtain that enveloped Jiulong City.

This was the protective national array of the Great Zhou Dynasty, the Nine Dragon Array.

This was originally a power that only Emperor Zhou could control, but now it had fallen entirely into Yang Tianji’s hands.

Ye Chen gazed at Yang Tianji, his expression filled with deep admiration.

This, this is a true powerhouse!

He was still too far from this stage... In the future, he had to possess this kind of power too.

No... in the future, he must become even stronger than Teacher Yang Tianji!

”Yang Tianji!”

The voice from inside the hall was no longer calm, becoming infinitely furious!

”Emperor Zhou, is it you who will see me, or I who will see you?” To the enraged Emperor Zhou, Yang Tianji presented two choices.

Either you open the door and I come in to see you.

Or, I open the door and I come in to see you.

Both choices lead to the same result, at this moment Yang Tianji gave Emperor Zhou no room for choice!

The world fell into deathly silence.

Moments later.

The tightly closed doors slowly opened, making a grating sound that set teeth on edge.

The two doors seemed to have decayed.

As the doors opened.

An eerie, cold aura surged forth.

The main hall resembled an abyss, pitch-black.

In that dark world, two ghostly lights flickered.

When Ye Chen saw those two ghostly lights, he trembled all over. The dragon scale, refined at his abdomen to guard the Dantian, suddenly became scorching hot!

A wicked dragon!

Ye Chen was startled.

The evil dragon that the dragon race elder in the Sword Tomb asked him to find... was actually the ruler of the dynasty!
