Martial Arts: I Have Diligence Reward System

After the crowd dispersed, Gang Yue asked with a cold expression. He suspected that Mo Kai might want to take over the mess left in Jing Niao City. But that didn’t make sense. The Yangxiang Race in Jing Niao City had been nearly wiped out, and Jing Niao City’s Spiritual Spring had already been destroyed. What could he possibly achieve by taking it over? This person was simply too bizarre.

”I know you want Qiu Fenghai’s Creation Sword. Coincidentally, Qiu Fenghai has something on him that I desperately want.

”We can cooperate.”

Mo Kai looked sincerely into Gang Yue’s eyes.

”Cooperate?

”How? What does Qiu Fenghai have that is worth your effort?” Gang Yue asked with a frown.

”You want the Steel Bone Creation Sword because it involves a Peak secret of your Steel Bone Race. I am of the Yangxiang Race, so the Creation Sword is useless to me. You can rest assured that I won’t fight you for it.

”What I want is Qiu Fenghai’s head!”

A cold glint flashed in Mo Kai’s eyes.

”Hm?

”As far as I know, you and Qiu Fenghai have never met, nor do you have any grudges against each other. Why would you want his head?” Gang Yue looked suspicious.

The matter of the Creation Sword wasn’t a secret at all. Mo Kai was right. The Creation Sword was very strong, but it was only effective for the Steel Bone Race. To anyone else, it was just another demonic weapon. The reason he had gathered Cang Ji and the others to join the battle back then was precisely because he had anticipated this; no one else would try to snatch it.

But Mo Kai wanting to kill Qiu Fenghai—that was bizarre.

”I have a Peak secret in my bag, and I need the head of a Ninth-Grade Martial Artist as a sacrifice to the heavens.

”If you don’t agree, then I’ll have to find Qiu Fenghai and kill you instead, or go kill Fei Tianhong.

”The reason I came to you first is because your hatred for Qiu Fenghai runs deeper, and you are greedy enough.”

Mo Kai patted the bundle containing Fei Tianhong’s corpse as he spoke. He had already sealed Fei Tianhong’s aura with his Qi Blood, so Gang Yue couldn’t sense it.

”Hmph, you’re quite honest.

”If you dare to team up with Qiu Fenghai to kill Fei Tianhong, he and I will join forces and force you two into retreat!” Gang Yue chuckled dismissively.

As for why Mo Kai hadn’t targeted him for the kill, that was perfectly normal. It didn’t even require much thought. Among the Eight Races of the Wet Realm, the Steel Bone Race was famously skilled in defense.

”That is why I came to you first.

”In a word, are you in or out? I have a way to kill Qiu Fenghai; I just need your defenses to absorb the damage.

”Time waits for no one. If you don’t agree, I’ll leave immediately.

”Also, I’m not afraid of you teaming up with Fei Tianhong.

”I can pay a certain price to manipulate the Human Race into attacking your city. Then, Qiu Fenghai and I will go kill Fei Tianhong. At that time, you won’t even be able to protect yourself, let alone help Fei Tianhong.

”But if Fei Tianhong dies, you will be isolated and helpless in the Wet Realm. Who knows if Qiu Fenghai and I might want to kill another Ninth Grade!” Mo Kai said with a fake smile.

”The Yangxiang Race is truly despicable!” Gang Yue’s eyes flickered.

What a vicious plan. Manipulate the Human Race to tie him down, and then the two of them would go kill Fei Tianhong. If Mo Kai’s plan succeeded, he really might die. At the very least, he wouldn’t be able to hold onto this steel city.

It was purely sinister. And the Blood Boiling Race’s Fei Tianhong was indeed the easiest target to kill.

”I’ll go get Fei Tianhong, and the three of us will go kill Qiu Fenghai together,” Gang Yue said, looking at Mo Kai. He was afraid this guy would plot against him, so having Fei Tianhong around would act as insurance.

”Impossible. After killing Qiu Fenghai, I’ll be in a state of exhaustion. Dealing with just you wouldn’t be a big problem, but facing two Ninth Grades? I have no confidence in surviving that!” Mo Kai shook his head.

”Give me five minutes to consider it. Wait for me outside the city!” Gang Yue said after a moment of thought.

”Fine. If you don’t show up in five minutes, I’ll go form an alliance with Qiu Fenghai.

”I just need the head of a Ninth Grade. It doesn’t matter who it belongs to.”

With that, Mo Kai left the city. He found a very secluded corner and took one of Fei Tianhong’s hands out of the Choice Beast Hide.

BUZZ!

At that moment, an Origin Image Stone in Mo Kai’s palm flickered. It was Fei Tianhong’s Origin Image Stone.

”Hmph, you sinister piece of work, I knew you’d try to backstab me!” Mo Kai sneered.

He then disguised himself as Fei Tianhong, but used Fei Tianhong’s actual hand to activate the Origin Image Stone. This was an anti-theft mechanism; the Origin Image Stone could only be activated by the owner’s own Qi Blood, making it impossible for anyone else to forge it. Since Fei Tianhong had just died and Mo Kai hadn’t allowed the Qi Blood inside the corpse to dissipate, he could still operate the Origin Image Stone a few more times.

”Mo Kai invited me to slay Qiu Fenghai. Afterward, both Mo Kai and I will be very weak. I want you to lie in ambush outside Four Arms City and find an opportunity to attack Mo Kai.”

Gang Yue’s head appeared in the Origin Image Stone.

”When?” Mo Kai deliberately created some smoke in front of the Origin Image Stone to obscure the image, then imitated Fei Tianhong’s voice.

”The two of us are heading out in five minutes. Calculate the timing yourself,” Gang Yue kept it brief.

”How do we split the loot?” Mo Kai, playing the role of Fei Tianhong, frowned and began haggling.

”The loot is negotiable. I only want the Creation Sword.

”Mo Kai is carrying all the Ninth-Grade pills that Cang Ji accumulated. We’ll split those evenly!” Gang Yue nodded coldly.

”Deal!”

With that said, Mo Kai decisively cut off the connection to the Origin Image Stone.

”Gang Yue, oh Gang Yue. I couldn’t tell that you were such a treacherous snake, actually plotting to steal my Ninth-Grade pills!” Mo Kai crushed the Origin Image Stone.

He then packed Fei Tianhong’s corpse away again. Unfortunately for Gang Yue, all of those Ninth-Grade pills were now in Su Qingfeng’s hands.

”Hmph, it’s a good thing you contacted Fei Tianhong to scheme against me. To make the act convincing, you’ll now stop at nothing to kill Qiu Fenghai.”
